help - Which custom rom and recovery should I use to get kitkat on my P500 ?
This my 2nd attempt to get kitkat on my P500
The first attempt I installed cwm v5.0.2.0 [from playstore] and got a status 7 error and was advised this was because it was incompatible with cm-11-p500-31Dec.zip and have been advised to use TWRP ?
The phone is now back at stock Gingerbread and rooted
If I use TWRP version should I use as I see playstore has 7.4.6 and which rom should I use so I can use a gps app on my P500 that requires Jellybean or greater
Note I am a newbie

I have an Att LG G2 with stock 4.4.2 and I rooted the phone per instructions here. I was wanting to install a recovery to put a rom on but I am not sure how to check my firmware. II go into software in settings and see nothing that looks like 10d to make sure I am safe installing a recovery. I do see D80020y under software version
edit:I ended up using autorec, now I will wait for a lollipop rom

Been trying to get the last piece, big part, for two days now.
Fuuuq! Did the BigPart partition and forgot to back up my current ROM, so when I attempt to reinstall I don't see my .zip plus when I reboot. I get the OS not installed.
Edit:
I'm all good! Fastboot flashed the HRI66_Stock-HC ROM and let the it update up to KK.

Your error is not related to the recovery. I was able to install it easily without a problem. But I do not know what is causing your problem.
