[Completed] [Q] [help] about userdata.backup file

i pleasant day to all. i'm new to this forum and i'm a noob as well. i got a problem with my android phone. i took out the SD card to transfer data faster but by the time i inserted it back, the phone undergoes boot-loop process. i reboot the phone several times, take out the battery and waited for few minutes but no success, so i followed the procedure online to back up the users data by pressing the volume up and power button. it provides an option to save data in SD card with an extension of .backup. i cleared and reset phone to factory default and be able to gain access my phone. the problem is, i tried to restore data from the back file but as soon as i restored it it undergoes boot-loop process again. i just need my contacts and important messages. my questions are:
1. ) Is there a way to extract contacts and messages from userdata.backup file by copying the file in computer ?
2.) If its possible to extract, what software i need to use to extract it?
3.) Is there a way to enable usb debugging in the phone using a computer through a data cable?

[Completed] Cannot see tablet via adb?

Asus Iconia B1. I went to modify a file in system and set the mount option on Es File explorer. Modified the file and forgot to do the mount bit again. Booted and it locks on boot 'Iconia' screen.
I can boot into recovery and see the 3 menu options for Clean boot etc, but none of these have resulted in anything. Unfortunately I do not have a rom on the tablet either to try and install anything else?
I have tried via windows 7 to connect via adb, but the tablet can't be seen? I'm sure the correct drivers should be on, but nothing? kill-server, start-server, devices always brings up nothing?
Can anyone please help?

[Completed] [q] device stuck at boot

I own a Micromax canvas p470 tablet ..
I've rooted the device and tried the LCD density editor in rom tools (in build.prop)..
I've set the density to maximum (360) . the original density was 160 .
after i changed it , it asked me to reboot .
after 1st reboot my screen appeared way too stretched out .
i tried changing back the density to 160 .. but i couldnt do it .. i couldnt scroll on the screen ... my device got stuck for sometime.
I tried rebooting again but my device got stuck on that android logo and wouldn't move any further ...
there is no stock rom available for my device online and ive not made any backup of my rom .
I've heard that connecting the device to pc and modifiying the build.prop in adb shell can help it ...
I've thankfully had my USB debugging enabled ...
after i connect my tablet to PC , it says unauthorized ..
i cant authorize as my tablet cannot boot up ...
is there a way in which i can authorize my tablet in PC itself and edit the build prop ??
if there .. please let me know how to do it .... and also please tell me how to change back the LCD density to 160 using ADB shell .......

[Completed] Garmin usb mass storage not detetced

Can anyone please enlighten me on how to fix my Garmin 660 GPS
My issue started when I plugged the unit into the computer to perform a routine map update
I had been having some issues with a few of the media files that I play so I thought I would replace the MP3 files on the MicroSD card only this this I left it in the unit
I usually format the card and install new files separately from the unit but I formatted the card yet by some magical god like intervention the internal storage was also wiped.
I would suspect that Garmin would not make it this easy to delete important files as now the unit is not detected by any computer. The unit has deleted the maps.
It just starts and restarts over and over - I finally managed to get a hard reset to actually do something at all. Now and then it will bring up the software (no maps)and will Bluetooth but a hard reset every time to make this happen and does not always work - basically it a useless device.
None of the Garmin programs can see the GPS - I have backup of the device but no help - I have the factory software no help, the factory reset - partial but does not load the drivers - tried many Gamin driver update - took it back to supplier (GPS specialist) they said have to send to Garnin
I ride a bike and it is hard without the GPS to find my way around plus it include music and my phone plus it cost over $600
surely it is possible to access the root directory and replace what ever files it needs
My question is
How can I get the device to open a port to access the internal storage and load what ? to get the USB port functioning when it plugged into the computer.
I have basic computer knowledge - If anyone knows how to fix this issue please be kind enough to explain the method in easy to follow instructions and exactly what file or files I need and where I can obtain them and how to install them,
Can the port be forced to open -I tried a couple of methods from the net but didn't work for me
Please help if you can

My android zte N9810 is no longer usable after rooting. Can't access my files, my settings, play store, and can't connect to pc. Keep getting the error message "Unfortunately, the processandroid.process.media has stopped. Tried to hard root but it did not fix the problem. I cant access any of my root files because I can't access file explorer. The problem started when I tried to move internal files to external sd. Thanks
