I have a xperia play and is branded (Rogers canada) and i have a locked bootloader. I can use my phone with Chatr but next mounth i live for europe. I tried with a Vodafone sim card and ask for sim network unlock pin
what can i do?

unlock by setool use tp and change brand from japan to gsm in mobile setting

As far as I know, you can contact mobile operator vendor that phone "belongs to" and they can give you unlock code.

Edit. PEOPLE STILL PM ME AFTER 3+ YEARS ABOUT THIS. I can't unlock any device, I just contacted the OP because VodafoneES was offering free Sim Unlocks at the time, just that. If it's a different device/carrier combo, I can't help you, else, feel free to PM me.

I have no idea if u can lock it again,but my gues will be no.I unlocked it using a bulgarian service.Google sony xperia m2 sim unlock and you will find plenty of websites

Didn't think they could charge you if you ask the network for a pac code to unlock it to all networks. Thought it was just third party websites that charged. Is not expensive on the Web about 3 or 4 quid if you shop about online.

You need a pac code from the network it was on(usually free) or you'll need to buy one off eBay/amazon or pay a mobile phone shop that offers the service to unlock it to any network
