At&t New York Market so fast sometimes and so slow other times

Sent from my LG-D850 using XDA Free mobile app

Pretty good.

I got 44.30 down and 11.9 up.
It's very dependent on the signal strength.
From the same tower I got 11.01/3.18 with one less signal bar.

My best one!

35 down and 5 up on my d850 with T-Mobile service though

AT&T in Moore, Oklahoma. I haven't gotten close to that since. I have a friend's dad that is a tower technician and he said that they have been doing a lot of upgrades and tests across the state. I guess I got that one when they had a tower uncapped.

50/16 is the usual. Never get anything faster than that.

This was done on the west side of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex (West Fort Worth to be precise). Driving down the highway actually. Lol

Not too great here.

Dayton, OH 4G LTE up and running!!

I was excited to see the 4G icon, so I called Verizon to confirm that it is permanent and not just a test. So far, been getting amazing speeds. 7 mbps down, 2 mbps up.

mine popped up at 6 i went in the gym with gym and when i started working out i had 4g. ran speedtest and got 19m that could be dangerous
I was waiting for it to kick in today. But Verizon surprised me with the turn on a day early. Woot. Loving the speed boost for sure.
Im glad my fellow Ohians are catching up to the west of me
Well it is great to hear that 4g is finally avail to different company besides tmobile in the miami valley i hope you guys enjoy but hey once you blow up your contract with data overages and need an out come c me for cricket
What areas of Dayton at you getting the hookup? My parents live in Germantown so I highly doubt I'll get anything when visiting but I'm curious to know if it's just the city limits or surrounding areas as well. I live in Columbus but can get 4G at work in Dublin/Hilliard too.

I was in Troy/Piqua yesterday. Sorry no yummy 4G lovin' up that far. Ironically, the wife and I both had to restart our phones when we came back to Dayton before they would resume 4G service. Hopefully the next bug fix will resolve that.
I'm in the Cincinnati Hamilton area, had 4g since day 1. Glad to see Dayton join [email protected] dexter, I have an extra t- bolt laying around I been wanting to try to flash to cricket. If you dont mind getting ahold of me for a how to that would be great, if not that's cool to.

Yea, I hate to champion one corrupt corporation over another, but I'd much rather be on at&t's network since the fall-back network is still leaps and bounds faster than Verizon's fall-back network (and they have had a number of outages on their LTE network this year so far). Fortunately I live in San Antonio so I have access to 3 major carriers' LTE networks.
That said, at&t can piss off with their restrictive policies. I only hate Verizon slightly more.
But my God 25mbs is amazing if could offer that every where I pay tom more I just wish my wifi that fast

I get LTE for AT&T in weird places here. I live in Oklahoma and get LTE of course in the bigger areas but sometimes LTE 4g in like small towns kind of cool but kind of weird.
You think 25Mbps is fast, check my sig...
Lol yeah. I just came back from Anaheim. Hot damn. 16 Mbps. But speed test used up 30 MB of data... I'm now being charged $30 for using 204.6 MB of data. >_>

And uh, AT&T, anytime you want to grace that state sandwiched between NY and MA with LTE, ummm.. we'd be VERY appreciative. Just a suggestion..

Not to rub it in, but crazy fast LTE speeds in the boston metro area. 20-30mbps down average, high score of around 57mbps.

Columbus generally turn up shortly after the Cleveland market. I live in the Mentor area, 20 minutes east of Cleveland and it is on here as well. I was speed test on my Vivid, Lumia and Skyrocket and was averaging around 20-30Mbps and maxing at 50 on the Skyrocket.

CT. If Vermont (or New Hampshire) gets it first we riot (maybe.)
I got to experience LTE speeds when I was in NY and ATL recently and I averaged over 30mbps. I'm sure this is to do with the networks not being taxed so much. I can't wait for the new iPhone to be released which will slow down those LTE speeds due to excessive bandwidth use, much like they did to their 3G network. Knowing my luck we will get the iPhone 5 before we get LTE here.

What kind of network speeds are you getting?

Im seeing posts everywhere about problems with 4g, weak signals, etc. Im just curious to see what other people are getting for speed tests. I tried searching with no result so i dont know if this has been covered already.
I know theres alot to account for signal, how busy the network is, etc. But i just wanted a idea if im getting regular speeds.

Get around the same as you two, would take a shot but I literally live a block away from where it stops. How about on 3G too? I get terrible speeds compared to my last phones, under a MB for each. .97 d/l and .40 u/l.
People keep telling me those are "normal", sure maybe for them but not for me where I live.

Not going to post my current speed test, because I'm away for the weekend in the middle of no where and the closest server has massive lag... it showed me as having about a .03 mbps download last night. I know it's better than that.
My 3G speeds in the real world though have been pretty standard compared to my previous phones, however. If I remember when I get home Monday I might post a screen.

My rezound used to get max bars along with speed ..usually avg 18mbps but now in same location I get 3 bars and I can barely get 5-6 Mbps and the ping is 120ms+ consistently. Not sure what the problem is..

I think they are expanding in Syracuse, not rolling it out. I am pretty sure they already have 4G. I am about 70 miles south of Syracuse and I am not expecting anything different by us. I am pretty sure that 4G has much shorter range so changes further away don't really impact surrounding areas.

I was always under the impression that the nearest tower was in Utica, which was why we got 4G service in Syracuse. I could be totally wrong, though.

And of course it is just a screen shot... of an interactive map.

Well according to the article in the OP, Syracuse is listed under the category of "expand the existing 4G LTE"...take that for what it is worth I guess.
I don't see what the fuss is about unless your on a grandfathered unlimited plan since with the new shared plans, Verizon lets you surf the web and check your email, anything else will drain your mbs for each month. Its totally bassakwards, they put up more towers rolling out 4GLTE, but with their new limitations, 4G speed is kind of irrelivent if you hardly get the chance to use it IMO.

Regardless of how fast you use your GB limit (if you have one), I think most people would prefer faster speeds.

I have a year left on my unlimited contract with verizon if they ever switch me to a limited data plan ill leave. do they care maybe not but i am not gonna watch a youtube video then run to see where my data limit is on a damn widget for $29.99 a month data. its insane to me that people are willing to do this.
i dont use alot of data maybe 4gb a month my moms line uses about 2gb were both unlimited but its the idea that we would have to worry about how much data were using when i pay more for my phones internet then i do on my homes internet i shouldn't have to think about it. its my account with 3 lines i pay for my moms line fyi.
sorry i went off topic ;P
My city is on the list. I woke up to my phone showing 4g for the first time ever. Weird.
