Hi,
Can you please consider adding an option to change the text size for two items - the title name display and the time elapsed/total time?
If it is easier to just create a single "Large" option selection that would be great too, rather than infinitely variable.
Perhaps the option can move the time fields into the area just above where they are now - for larger time text.
My family members love to listen to music with MX Player on the smart TV and with poor vision it is difficult to read the title and the times.
They select the titles using a web browser with very large text from the HTTP server on the computer - and that launches MX Player
I've attached an image of the TV playing music, with the three areas highlighted - sorry about the lousy color reproduction and image as my phone is not so good at this. The background is pure red.
Thank you for reading - and thanks for MX Player.

[Feature Request] Add a field "last playback position" to media list options
"Resume/last played point" in the sense of the HH:MM:SS where you left watching the video (I prefer the term "resume/last played time", but, well, you already name "played time" to a different thing...). You have this info, obviously, because you resume the videos from that point, so it is strange that you don't show it (and should, therefore, be trivial to implement ).
The best way to show this info should be the standard: "resume/last played point"/total length (you already show the total length over the thumbnail. If there is not enough space besides it, I think that a suitable place would be to move all that info to below the video name).
As a bonus point, you could update the thumbnail to reflect the "resume/last played point". Other players (MoliPlayer for IOS) do it and it is very cool.
Right now, if you long press on a video and view the properties, it will show last playback position.
To simplify your feature request, what you are really asking is "on the media list, add a field called "last playback position" to the view menu options".
The second thing you requested is "update the thumbnail to reflect last playback position".
Let me preface this by saying I like Encore a lot, especially the interface. There are unfortunately some issues which prevent me from using it as my primary music player. Hope you don't mind this feedback, I would like this app to replace Google Play Music.
"Album Artist" tag
Files using the "Album Artist" tag have a couple of issue. I'll be using Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories" in this example, which has 6 out of 13 tracks featuring other artists. These tracks are tagged as followed (encoded in Vorbis, .ogg):
[ARTIST] "Daft Punk feat. ARTIST"
[ALBUMARTIST] "Daft Punk"
[ALBUM] "Random Access Memories"
Issue #1, Artist Tab: All featured artists get listed, making it cluttered. A possible solution would be a separate "Album Artist" tab, or a toggle within settings to ignore featured artists. (Attachment #1)
Issue #2, Album View: Doesn't display tracks from featured artists, so 6 out of 13 are missing, these DO have the same album tag. (Attachment #2)
Issue #3, Artist View: Clicking on a featured artist doesn't display any tracks, even though they CAN be found under "All Songs". Maybe because the album has already been populated elsewhere? (Attachment #3)
Interface
- (All Songs) The scrollbar overlaps the menu icon next to a song, making it impossible to select. You press the scrollbar instead and move list to another position.
- (All Songs) Either takes a long time to populate or doesn't at all.
- (Album View) Albums containing multiple discs are currently displayed using one large list, would be nice to have each disc separated by a header ("Disc #").
- Whilst grabbing the scrollbar display the letter currently on.
Playback
- Playback of .ogg with a high sample rate (i.e. 96 kHz) either makes the app crash or causes audio glitches. This works fine in Google Play Music.
I don't know if I have used the correct terms here -- please forgive the ignorance.
While playing each video with MX Player on my Samsung Galaxy S7 phone, is it possible to display the FILE NAME--maybe at the bottom of the screen--either "briefly" (maybe for a few seconds, then fade-out) or even "permanently" (always visible while watching the entire video)?
I am asking, because I use VCL media player on my desktop PC--and that ap does 'briefly' show the file name at the bottom as a subtitle-sort-of-thing, each time a new track starts -- then it fades away.
What are the options for MX Player?
Thanks for anybody's help!
I'm hoping for the same thing. Maybe an option to not show/show at beginning of playback/show all the time. Currently to view the file name, I need to click/touch the screen, which also brings up all the controls, menu bar, taskbar. If it was tied in with the battery/clock.playback time settings, it would help a lot.
ok, this is my idea to sync subtitles - based on solution in AllPlayer:
I pause movie in position when should be text, open window with all subtitles, chose one and press button "This Text in This Position" - this solution is from AllPlayer.
Second, optional part if subtitles have diffrent framerate:
Go to some part at end of movie, pause, and set second text for this moment like above. MX Palyer based on this two point calculate new positions for every text
I want to make simple music video with photos and songs in my Android phone. I find that there are many powerful video editors, such as KineMaster or PowerDirector, I can use.
But it is not easy to add subtitles or lyrics into the video. I have to add text by every sentence, and apply effect, font , size for each sentence. But I just want to add lyrics with the effect through the whole video.
I find that there some tools like YouTube movie maker for Windows, can easy add lyrics. Is there any app for Android provide that easy way to add lyrics? If even cannot load the text file, can it possible that apply same subtitle style through the whole video, and I just have to type every lyrics?
