[Q] Samsung Galaxy S4 mini Sixaxis - General Questions and Answers

So I recently just rooted my Galaxy S4 mini mainly for the reason to connect a dualshock 4 to it. I've searched and searched on many forums and videos looking for the best/correct way to do it, and I've tried them all and get the same result. I've used the PC Sixaxis tool and programmed the Bluetooth to my phone, used the Controller compatibility tool to see if it is compatible (it is, and it connected and showed the controller inputs on the screen). But when I went to the main Sixaxis app and did the same process, and it gets to "listening for device" and never connects. I'm seeing if anyone can tell what the problem might be and help me out with it. Any thoughts?

[Q] XBOX Controller - Success?

Hi!
So I've managed to connect a USB reciever (made for PCS) to the tablet USB port and got my controller working on the tablet. Literally, working. Buttons are responding and it controls everything.
However, trying to play GTA Vice City has proven futile. It appears the controller is constantly transmitting a "right camera movement" to the tablet making it "turn around the character". No matter what I tried, it appears to simply be "jammed" with this.
Since no software was installed, and the controller is basically working with builtin drivers, I was wondering whether someone tried to do the same, had the same issues and found a work around?
I had the same issue. This is a known problem, described in several topics. If your Transformer is rooted, the solution is provided here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1792531. It's for Nexus, but works for Transformers.
For non-rooted devices, I'm afraid there is no solution.

Connect PS4 controller (DS4) - NO ROOT!

So I am posting this everywhere as I found very little information about how to do this and trouble shooting some issues. Made a reddit post and going to post it here (I hope this is a proper place to put this).
Just hold down the PS button and Share till the light starts to flash. Go to your Bluetooth and pair the game controller.
Trouble shooting suggestions are on bottom.
Now after about 30sec, and for some unknown reason, you will run into input lag. To fix this you will need to download an app called Bluetooth Auto Connect. Once installed goto Advanced Options - Connect Now. Once you push Connect Now the input lag should be gone.
If you are looking for a clamp I just bought something called Nyko Smart Clip - PlayStation 4 on Amazon for $10. TOTALLY WORTH IT!
Trouble Shooting:
I had an issue when pairing that it would see the device but wouldn't pair. What I had to do was turn off Bluetooth, turn it back on and try again.
Another issue I had was Bluetooth Auto Connect wasn't fixing the lag issue on my Samsung Note Pro (same device I had an issue pairing, my Samsung Note 4 didn't have any of these issues). I had to uninstall sixaxis controller then restart device. Then uninstall Bluetooth Auto Connect and restart device. Then connect DS4 controller. Then install Bluetooth Auto Connect and spammed Connect Now. It seemed to work. FYI my Note Pro is rooted but my Note 4 isn't and this works on both devices!
To repair the controller to your PS4 plug it in with your charging cable and push the PS button, it will pair immediately. I personally bought a 2nd controller so I wouldn't have to do that.
Hello, I tried this with my ps 4 controller and it says that the controller is paired but the light on the controller keeps flashing and it does not respond to any input and after some time it just turns off, the Bluetooth auto connect app just says that is unable to connect to wireless controller, please help, my device is a galaxy s7 edge.
Connecting the PS4 controller works for me but can't do anything else such as can't play games or anything, maybe a future update when everyone starts to cry a bit more about how the S7 Edge isn't compatible with any controller, I have tried 3rd party controllers and the right joystick and the rest of the buttons do not work, the only thing that works is the left joystick...
Before the 7.0 Nougat update on the S7 Edge (SM-G935P) the OTP (wired) connection would crash the phone; freezing the display, hard reboot. This happened on the OFW and rooted versions. Bluetooth would pair but you'd have to try multiple times and you'd need to delete the original pairing to repair (holding the pair buttons on the controller).
After the 7.0 Nougat update, controller support had been added- albeit horribly. The only connection is an OTP connection, Bluetooth still has errors. The button configurations are wrong though, the controller is useless. Square, X and circle are all wrong and triangle doesn't even register.
This is where I'm at, anyone know of any fix? I'm not looking forward to buying a Stratus XL (works perfectly but it's 60$)
I'm about to just switch from Samsung to Sony lol.
Unfortunately the guy that wrote this article is guilty of blatant douchbaggery (what good is a paired controller that cant be mapped and starts mapped completely out of whack). Yes you can 2 button pair a ds4 controller but a ds4 controller is encrypted and requires in linux and linux like os a driver called SCP (SONY CORP.SOMTHING......) That just isnt offered by any app ive seen on droid other than sixaxis. Alternately you could always hard wire it . The major flaw in this is the inability to stop the controller from charging in this case off your phone battery. As far as the mapping goes the only issue is android uses the generic abxy combo which is cross circle square triangle in ps4 speak . in retrospect .....i suppose i should have stopped reading when the author claimed no root. The controller keylayout files (.kl) are located in/system/user/keylayout. How are u supposed to do anything to those w/o root?

Lenovo Tab 2 Xbox 360 Wireless controller over OTG Cable

i want to use the controller for apps like fpse and stuff.
already tried USB BT Joycenter but that wasnt working, the controller was connecting and showing as First player but there was no input and i cant get any updated version of the app cause i cant find it on the appstore.
the other thing i tried was editing the controller layout files, but they werent even on the tablet.
is there anything else i can do to get this to work?
I tried to connect my xbox 360 wireless controller via dongle aswell. it kinda connects but i am not really sure. the moment i let the dongle and the controller search for each other they seem to find each other straight away, but the led ring just keeps blinking and wont find a channel so to speak.
i followed sleeplessninjas guide and copied over the vendor_45e_product_0291/0719.kl and kcm but it didnt change the controller problem.
the controller is not recognized by any app i tried nor does the system itself show any response to the controller input.
i can connect a mouse or a usb flashdrive without a problem plug n play out of the box. but the controller wont get recognized.
i read on a shop review that the problem would be that the lenovo tab2 a10 doesnt have driver for the controller shipped with it.
my question would be: would cooking up my own android rom help and would i even be able to make it work on the device, i keep reading about lenovo devices being *****y about bootloader and such.
and then again cooking up ones own android is kinda of a longshot for an android beginner like me. need to read more. propably doable but are there even drivers available for the device fitting the system?
would appreciate someone shedding a bit of light in all the confusion cheers

Wireless Controller Problem

Hello.
For the last two days I have been trying to make my OMEGA Wireless Gamepad (a copy of the PS Dual Shock controller) work on my Galaxy J7 2016 (6.0.1).
It connects to the phone through Bluetooth as a input device no problem but it won't work further than just that.
I even rooted the phone to try some stuff out but to no avail.
It stays connected but none of the buttons do anything (not in phone menu, not in PPSSPP, not in a bunch of keymapper aps).
So I was wondering is there a way to get this fixed without me having to buy an Micro USB to USB Adapter and trying that out.
Thanks for reading.

Samsung galaxy note 9 - bluetooth gaming controller issue.

Hi All,
I have searched the whole world(internet) for a solution, but can't seem to find a resolution.
I have bought a 3rd party bluetooth gaming controller that for some reason does not work with my Galaxy Note 9. I can get it to pair with the phone, but when trying to use it, it is completely unresponsive. I have tried the controller with 2 different android phones, Iphone 7 plus and 2 different PC's and the controller works flawlessly with all of the mentioned devices.
I have tried to reset network settings. Cleared the partition cache, turn on and off different settings with no luck at all.
I did not know where to post this and hopefully I can ask for some help here.
The phone had not been tampered with anyhow and runs on samsungs android 10(latest updated it can have).
Are there any suggestions? If you need more info please let me know.
Thank you.
