You surely flashed something wrong or wrong partiton. Like fastboot flash boot but you have flashed recovery.img.
But you can try this thread.

yes, it was hard bricked. thank you very much!

It wasn't hardbricked. If it was you wouldn't be able to recover.

You have to do a full wipe, factory reset, cache, dalvik cache, system. Then flash. That should get u booted.

Did you do the update to 2.20 (doesn't matter if done safely or not)?
If so, you need to manually flash the boot.IMG in the zip.
Sent from my One X using xda app-developers app
If you are 2.20 you have to make sure to manually flash the boot.img.
Also make sure when you are about to flash you wipe everything. You have to wipe cache, dalvik, factory reset, & system. Do it twice just to be sure.
The first time I flashed CM10 I didn't wipe system. I got stuck on boot screen and it wiped my sd card and then my sd card wouldn't mount. I had to relock my bootloader, run an RUU, and start over. Second time it stuck and worked great. Went back to CR for the camera.

extract boot.img place it into your adb folder reboot your phone into bootloader while connected to your pc. Open a cmd prompt in your adb folder type fastboot flash boot.img it will then flash the boot.img once done reboot and your fixed.

Copy the boot.img to your adb/fastboot directory on your computer. Boot the phone into the bootloader. Open a command prompt from your adb/fastboot directory on your computer. "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
You do still have to flash the zip through TWRP.
If you have 2.20, you have to flash any radio and boot.img through fastboot. Personally, the 2.20 radio has been the best for me so I haven't had the need to flash another.

[Q] Help! problems after instaling twrp 2.7

Ok so today i wanted to root my nexus 5 so i unlocked bootloader via androidSDK slim everything went fine but i did not power up my device yet thet i flash the recovery.img of twrp after that i booted into recovery and for a second it displayed some error i could not see it but it said could not read /e..... or i think so and it reboted itself and started booting android and now i think im stuck in boot loop because its booting up for 10 mins. can someone help me?
So now your Bootloader is unlocked, right?
First boot after unlocking the Bootloader takes time... Wait for 10 more mins and then reboot once again and see whether you can get the OS to bootup...
If you can't, you can either try factory reseting from Bootloader or you can flash a custom recovery and then install a custom rom of your choice.
Or you can also go full stock and start over again by flashing a factory image...
-Sent from an IceCold Hammerhead!
You're supposed to reboot the bootloader before flashing anything.

[SOLVED] Stuck in bootloop even after flashing back to stock

Hey everyone,
I've been tearing out my hair for the past 34 hours (with the exception of sleeping). I restarted my phone yesterday and it got stuck in the boot animation, for hours.
I have never unlocked my bootloader, or flashed any custom rom on this phone, so I was really shocked when this happened. So I took to these forums, because lurking here usually solves all my issues (thanks awesome people), and flashed the stock image as recommended-> bootloop -> factory reset in recovery mode -> bootloop-> repeated this all night and today with multiple flashing methods (fastboot using flash-all and flashing individually, no dice.
I was wondering if I was out of luck, seeing as though my phone just randomly did this to itself, without prior tampering, or if there was something I could try doing. I haven't tried any custom recoveries as I don't really know how that would help me if I am willing to flash back to stock and lose all my data.
I am able to boot into fastboot mode and go to recovery mode, so this indicates to me that my hardware is fine, unless I am wrong
Thanks, I would appreciate all the help I can get

And you didn't receive any errors at all while flashing them individually? If that's the case I'd fastboot format each partition first then flash it. If that doesn't work you're pretty much out of luck. Just so where on the same page it would go like this:
Code:
fastboot format system
fastboot flash system system.img
Then just repeat that for everything.

Soft bricked shield tablet PLEASE HELP!

So I bought my shield tablet back in March, used it until about may I think. Was browsing the internet then it suddenly crashed and got stuck on the Nvidia boot screen. tried to reboot several times. Nothing. So I forgot about it and thought I would just google the reset option later when I had time. Now since June I have tried everything! From factory reset to fast boot and adb my pc won't even recognize my tablet. Also I never turned on usb dbugging cause I didn't even know what that was. I even gave it to the IT guys at work and they couldn't fix it. Now after reading everything there is to read on this problem and trying to fix it myself I'm stuck on the no command screen with the dead android robot. And now I hear there is a recall do to the battery, I can't even check what type I have. So if someone can please help me I would be much appreciative. Also this happened after updating to the latest OS.

TWRP (Team Win Recovery Project) is a custom recovery that you can flash on your device. You can flash it like the stock recovery over fastboot. With TWRP you can make full system backups, installing roms or other stuff, wipe partitions and more. Keep trying to install the drivers on your pc. Try to use another usb slot or boot your pc into test mode to install the driver. If you can still access the bootloader, you have really good chances to rescue your device.
Okay will try that. Thanks man.

I see what your doing wrong. You probably don't even have the recovery img to flash. That's why it's giving you a write error.
There is a tutorial in the general section, that should have all the files and links, etc etc that you'll need to flash TWRP/CWM recovery and root the device if you want

Those official nVidia recovery images come with smaller .img files such as recovery.img, system.img, etc. You'll need to flash those one by one ("fastboot flash recovery recovery.img", then run "fastboot flash system system.img", etc. etc.) or you can just run the flashall script that I think is included in the nVidia images.
Otherwise, if you want to flash TWRP, you'll need to download the TWRP recovery (you can rename it to "twrp-recovery.zip"). Then you'll need to "fastboot flash twrp-recovery.zip" in order to flash the twrp recovery to your tablet.

OK. Then the link I gave earlier should help flash stock software onto your tablet.
However, that guide is only to go back to factory "state" Operating System wise. It may not help with hardware. Once your flash everything correctly but device still doesn't boot, its probably not software related.
