Okay I just got this LG-D415 yesterday and I let it do the OTA update. I am trying to root it now and have tried every single rooting tool out there and none are able to do it. I don't feel like waiting for their databases to update to support my new OTA... is there anything I can do? Can I rollback? I can't find a old stock rom to flash on the system factory recovery because none are signed. Please and thank you for any help!!!

I tried searching the dev post and could not find the answer to my question.

Anyway I have a Verizon G2 that is Rooted. I got a ota notification today wanting to update to Kitkat. I told it no because I figured it would not end well.
Do I let it install the update then just root again using IOroot25?
When I first rooted, it did not wipe my phone which was pretty sweet. And I do not quite understand what the Dev wrote about the EFS being backed up or not.
If I root using IOroot25 will it wipe my devise?
Thanks for the help
If no one knows, could someone repost my question in the dev forum for me please?
Also I have Titanium back up. can i just back up everything that way and restore if IOroot25 wipes everything?
Thanks!
So I tried to do a system OTS update and it failed like I though it would.
I tried to use iroot25 to see if it would work. The script completed fine, but I am still not at 4.4
I need to figure out how to update to 4.4 now.
Found this thread which may let me flash up to kitkat

I might try that.
Hey all,
I am an android newbie so hopefully you follow me through. I bought an LG G2 D800 from ebay few months back. Recently, I tried installing lollipop OTA update by popping in an AT&T simcard. The update shows up and downloads but when installing, it throws out an error 0x1111004. I googled this and it seemed like the error is related to root flag. So I found a guide online which would install AT&T stock kitkat on my phone and remove any root flags. I did that but still no luck with the OTA update. Still getting the same message. So now here's my question:
Would it be possible to get OTA update any other way?
If not, what would be the best lollipop custom ROM that you can recommend. Something that would be an easy for a newbie to install and is very stable.
Thanks in advance.

This error appears if you have custom recovery or altered firmware. Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-g2/help/lg-g2-d800-fota-upgrade-files-lollipop-t3112378 . If this is too brief for you then you should look around in help section to find detailed instructions. Hope this helped.

Hi,
About a year ago I got fed up with Verizon constantly messing with my rooted phone, which I was completely happy with as it was, with their OTA updates. I used some of the guides on here to stop the OTA's and after some trial and error finally got them to stop bugging me. The phone is running Kitkat 4.4.2.
Now a year later I bought a new car and in order for the phone to work with the car it needs to be running at least Lollipop 5.0 but I cannot get the phone to update. I know I used Titanium, the full version, to freeze some of the OTA entries and I tried unfreezing them to no effect. I know I used another program to freeze some of the OTa options but I do not remember what it was. I have also tried doing multiple factory resets and I have tried to update it using Kies. Nothing works. I also used Odin and flashed the stock 4.4.2. Had no effect.
Appreciate any help. I am not that tech savvy but I can usually follow instructions well if anyone can help me out.
Thank you.
If you used Odin to flash an image, whatever you did to freeze the OTA function was completely undone. That's clearly not your problem.
Just follow the instructions in this thread to flash the latest Lollipop image provided, and then root it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/general/root-method-og5-ok3-t3290370

Thanks for the reply.
So I rooted my H635 using Kingroot, tried to delete it while keeping root and then installed SuperSU. After installing it just is in bootanimation. I tried looking for KDZ but didn't find one for Nordics. If someone could help me, thanks in advance.
Hi,i had the same problem and this fix it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g4/help/secure-booting-error-1003-t3315915

Thanks, Bridge restored it. I was able to pull the KDZ while it was updating.
Okay, the new one seems to brick right after rooting so if anyone still has old KDZ, let me know please. (Even Lollipop one is fine)
I also want to have the Old kdz.
Just got the phone and tried rooting, but that happened, but also on twrp I noticed that it's saying "stock restore failed, attempting ramdisk restore, ramdisk restore failed" then aborts, so if anybody could help me it would be much appriciated. Oh yeah my model is G930FD
Update: Even other rooting methods fail such as kingo for example, so I'm not sure what's wrong
Just noticed u mentioned it. Sorry.
I have an ASUS ZenFone 2 laser ZE551KL & having hard time rooting any suggestions?
Did you root it with chainfire autoroot method with odin?

I tried but it doesn't work. I don't even know what to do to try and get it to work. I've tried formatting my data and factory reset, but it's a no go. This is my log btw when I try to flash superuser
Few days ago, I have suddenly lost root without any reason. I didn't update the firmware or anything. So, after searching what the cuz, I read somewhere that samsung pushed security update which somehow made people lost root (still don't know how!). Anyway, what I did after many tries of rooting again, is that i found there is an update for the firmware and I downloaded it and install it and root, the everything come back normal.
If u have the last firmware update then I would recommend to flash stock firmware and do all the work again (twrp+dm.varity+root)
