So after reading the excitement in this thread, I decided to actually sign up and participate. BUT, I have a question.
I want Android on my Windows Phone. Not looking to dual boot. Actually looking to install an Android ROM in place of the Windows Phone 8 version on my HTC One M8.
Has anyone succesfully done this? Is it possible? HELP ME!?

Well that is a windows mobile phone. The only way you could run android on it, is if devs have ported android for your specific phone.
Just pay attention to what you buy, and dont buy winmobile or apple
[edit] please use punctuation. It's a chore trying to put your words together.
Well is there answer to this question. I was wondering as well and have searched for it and the information is confusing and not clear. they should just make a sticky for the phones that supported so far for the Android porting

Hello,
I have an HTC 7 Trophy with WP 7.8 (version 8862) is there any way to hack this OS, that i would be able to downloads appas and games to my pc and upload them into my phone?
I would suggest that your search-fu is weak, but I'm pretty sure you didn't even try. Go read rule # 1 of this forum, please...
Then go read the rest of them, for good measure. I don't really feel like giving you the benefit of a doubt here: we do not condone warez, and will not assist in pirating apps.

Is your phone the Verizon edition or the world edition?
If its the Verizon edition just follow my tutorial over in the Trophy General.

That doesn't work for the trophy. He needs to flash the NoDo rom, flash DFT's HSPL, and flash Dynamics 2.0. The tutorial partially work for him anyways.

I was thingking the C2 is HTC One SC.... my bad.... >.<;
Anyway I have made some research on how to upgrade my phone. From what I found there is something I cannot understand very well.
It is said that If I have upgrader my phone to 4.1.2 I cannot use superboot to root my phone. Only 4.0.x version could use superboot is that right?
Hi,
I just picked up the HTC One M8 Windows Phone edition and so far I'm loving it.
I was wondering whether it is possible to somehow port stock android onto the device rather than having Windows 8.
I know I could just purchase an android version, but I'm kind of just stuck with this for now..
Thanks!

Not at this time. But read around, they are working on a dual boot. Since 99.99999% of all M8 users are already on Android. I'd love to have WP on my M8, so I await it's results.

I actually want the exact opposite (android on my phone).
If they succeed in dual booting the WP on the Android versions of the M8, would it also work the other way around?
Thanks!
Yes they are the same phone

Both use a hardware architecture
Is it possible to either use a boot loader?!?
Is it possible htc aria boot loader can be installed on htc hd mini?

it may be???
Do you really think, that somebody is still working on the android development for this old phone?
I mean, the latest released "files" are ~2 years old and were still half baked and not fully working...
Why do all the thinking for both phones offer a ROM?!?
I have just one question!
How can I change the phone's bootloader?
