That is not good idea. Better stay at default.
Use Link2SD and move data cache and app you can move everything to SD

Ok so i finally installed kyrillos' rom 9.3
now i've searched around for how to install apps in SD and came across the app2sd scripts which are a little complicated then i thought. How can i install apps in my SD , is there any easier way to do that? like an app?
Also i would be installing quite a lot of stuff like 100+ games / programs etc. Got a 16 gig card so will be installing lots of apps. Will that make the phone slower or something like that?
I would appreciate any help i can get
You can try Link2SD. It's an app which provide the same feature as App2SD. I never use it though.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.buak.Link2SD&hl=fr
There is also the G3MOD kernel which provides a customizable App2SD.
Thanks alot i'll try that out
Kyrillos already have hybrid app2sd which instal app directly to Ur sd card partition.. And consider it asp internal memory..
If u want to dump Ur data also in sdcard them instal kmapp and choose data also to be gone in sdcard... And enjoy

Hi!
I recommend you use Link2SD also. In options of the program mark checkbox "Auto link", then all newly installed applications will be automatically moved to SD card. Useful feature Link2SD is moving to SD widgets.
Thanks all of you guys.
I got apps2sd kyrillos' script working finally. The partition in the memory card was causing problems. Sorted out by making partition via the CWM.
working great now. Oh and btw there is an awesome ap called ZDbox which can help you move apps to the memory card aswell which is kinda neat too. But still i prefer kyrillos' awesome script which automatically does that. I had like 150mb and i install some programs and games and all it took was like 5 mb xD

What about widgets? Can you move them with Kyrillo's script to sd card?
can you give me a guide to what you have done? also on kyrilllos' 9.3, installed some apps and running out of internal memory. i think my partition isnt working ( 4gb card, 1gb partition) properly.....

The apps2sd makes the phone think that external sd partition is part of the internal drive, so i assume it should make it work.

Backup your data from SD card, then format it from the phone. Then reboot into recovery menu (CWM) and scroll down to miscellaneous and from there use "make a partition" command and select 1 gb
simple as that. Then use the instructions given by kyrillos on this thread to install apps2sd script

i suggest apps2sd V2 unless you have a class 6 memory card.
Hi. How i can move and store my aps to the sd card. Not to the internal storage or phone memory. If i use the aps2sd and i choose move to the storage, it moves the apk to internal storage, not to sd. Why? Any solution pls? Thanks

Use the app Link2SD from play store. Requires root. And also a 2nd partition on your SD card to store apps.
There are many tools which can help you partition your SD card but to on the safe side, backup your SD card data beforehand.
Just go through the description of Link2SD on the play store. It should make things easier
But if i dont want to root the xperia?

The easiest way to partition an sd card is via clockworkmod. Advanced/partition sdcard. And choose what sixze of partition you want. This formats the sd though so backup first.

If you want to move apps without rooting, check out this post. It should help
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1162757
But there are some limitations when you don't root. But if you root, you can also get rid of unimportant system apps & bloatware!
Plus rooting is very simple these days thanks to one click rooting apps & brilliant devs!
Choice is yours
•••• Edit ••••
Not sure the if the procedure mentioned in the link above works on ICS/JB.
The internal storage in my xperia l is nearly full.
And I want to use link2sd to increase the memory.
But whatever I partition the sd card to ext2,3 or Fat32 it would cause the boot loop until I remove the sd card:crying::crying:
Does anyone have the solution?
The sd card is Kingston 32GB C10.
Thanks for your answers!
You can use FolderMount app from market to move the biggest files in sd-card,like gameloft game data.I got 6gb of game data in sd-card and im playing games without problem(and my internal is on 30%).

Why don't you check my thread . it'll help you will all your memory problems.
if you still have any query, do ask me.
Link2sd isn't a very good way of linking memory.
You can use titanium backup to move apps in sdcard by force.

I tried to use FoulderMount to move apps to sd card.
But it could only move application data, not all of it.
And I couldn't find "how to use titanium backup to move apps " in your thread.

Yes, folder mount is made to transfer data especially for games which have game data in Gbs or Mbs. So if your game application is 24mb and game data of 2gb, you can move only 2gb data but not 24mb with folder mount.
You can check app2sd which moves app to SD card if application supports.Check it at Google play.
Titanium backup requires root(hack) to work. If your phone's rooted, you can transfer app to SD regardless if it is supported by application or not.

I use this on my xperia l (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2368262) it uses script and only run on startup...it is better than link 2 sd becouse link 2 sd run all the time and uses more ram and you will encounter lag in big games such as modern combat 4 and gangstar vegas...the script mount your sd card as internal memory and internal memory as sd card and it is also woking on latest xperia l firmware (android 4.2.2)

When i install link2sd, and after that can i install apk files into my external sd card? Sorry for my bad english.
The
Code:
[COLOR="RoyalBlue"][/COLOR]pm set-install-location
set to external sd works for apps that you can move directly to sd without **root, in phone's package manager. You get root and try rom toolbox or link2sd or there are several other apps to force move an app to sdcard

Yes mini partition is best option for making partition...
But u can also use link2sd without second partition...
But if you don't use second partition.. Then only little problem occurs..
That the apps u linked to sdcard card becomes unavailable when u connect ur device to pc.. Because sd card mounted on pc...
This can be overcome by using second partition....
But I think its not a big problem...
One thing you can also make partition using ur recovery..

FIRST MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR SDCARD...
Go to recovery > Choose advance option... > Sd partition..
Then select partition size which suits your needs...
(Make sure you choose ext4)
Great, i will try that man. Do partitioning sd card via recovery deletes all files of it? Thats why i need to backup it first?
