[Completed] How Can I Obtain Root Access for a ZTE Grand X Z777 with a patched kernel? Desperate - XDA Assist

I bought a new phone from Cricket with whom I've been with for 10 years. Unbeknownst to me this device has a patched kernel, which I have no idea what that means only that nobody seems to be able to root it. I only want root, no custom roms, just root. Please help, there has to be some way to do it. Without root this device is useless as I only have the bloatware and am already getting "out of space" warnings. No root, no phone, simple as that. I will just sell it. I find it hard to believe that there is no way to do it and that these carriers keep trying to keep us from accessing equipment that is rightfully ours upon purchase. It's ridiculous. Thanks for any info, help, advice, etc.

Unfortunately I was unable to find anything for your device. You can register if you wish and ask your question here . Someone might be able to help. Just keep in mind that not all devices are supported out here, nor are there root methods for every device.
Good luck

Root Droid Mini 4.4

Hi Everyone,
I have a Droid Mini running on Android 4.4. Running on Straight Talk service.
Is it possible to root my device? I am not sure how to determine if my bootloader is unlocked.
I mainly would like to root my device to use TitaniumBackUp to back up and restore my device. I am not sure of another app that will allow me to backup and restore my apps, app data and settings, without my device being rooted.
Any and all help is appreciated.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!!

Other than the fact this is not the right section to be posting a question, I'll try and answer it anyways.
No BL unlock, not unless you can get the bootloader unlocked via a tool, verizons website, or the china guys service for ~25$USD which can all be found by a simple google.
You can try the Sunshine Bootloader unlock apk, however at 4.4.4 I am unable to use it (Droid Ultra)
The 4.4 Bounty thread is HERE which appears to have minimal attention at the moment
And HERE is the latest news on the China mans service, which appears to have gone and passed by now.
To root directly, you can give all the tools a try, and all the downloadable apks and give them a run, one by one, until you get to the realization you are stuck with what you have - unless you can downgrade and then root/bl unlock. Which by my knowledge, you can't - but I may be mistaken. Only reason I say you cant though, is if you could so could others, and there would already be more posts about it.
The last and final suggestion, buy a new mobo/chipset that had your OS of your preferred version installed prior so you can have immediate access. This is a tricky one however, due to this requiring you to tear apart your phone which isn't something most people feel comfortable doing. You also are at the mercy of whoever or wherever you buy the mobo/chipset from - as it could have water damage, or other faults negating the idea of having root to begin with (if your phone crashes every 10 minutes or so due to a short).

TL;DR
You're screwed, for the time being.

Samsung Galaxy s7 Locked Bootloader help

I need to know if there are any solutions on how to crack this sgs7 to gain root access. If not now, then does anyone (like the top notch coders that are totally in depth with hacking phones etc) know if it'll be made possible to root. I'd absolutely love to gain root access on this phone. Im sure a lot of people are fuming right now.. As am. I. Any help will he greatly appreciated on this subject
You can learn all you need to know in the AT&T AND T-mobile S7 and S7 Edge forums. They have active discussions going about the state of the bootloader.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that someone did try kingoroot and it did not work.
Supposedly someone has got root, but I guess we're still waiting for confirmation from a reputable dev.
Any word about hellsgod91? About root?
dude chill out. when and if the root comes out you'll know about it. trust me.
I apologize in advance for my ignorance on the subject matter at hand, however, I lost many pictures on my S7 (stored to the internal memory of the phone) and have been diligently attempting to recover them since Friday. Is it possible to recover them without the root? I have tried a number of software (rooting and recovery) and nothing has worked.... I started researching a few things and found the locked bootlander to be the reason it will not root and recover? Is this correct and if so, is there any possible way around this? I am truly shocked that I haven't bricked my phone yet with all I have tried. My email is [email protected] should anyone have any suggestions or valuable help. I am desperate!
I wish someone would just create an app that can unlock bootloader and such models such as the SM-G930P SGS7. Patience.. Yes I know.

Need Help rooting my LG Stylo 5X model LM-Q720TS

I have an LG Stylo 5X model LM-Q720TS and have had problems finding information on unlocking the bootloader. This will be the first root I have never rooted a phone before and really want to do this to my phone just to customize it and make it more secure. I also wanted to install pen testing software on it as well.
Anyway does anyone know of a site that can help me with the logistics of getting it done? I already have a full course on rooting android phones from Udemy and it was very informative on how to do it. I just don't have information on unlocking the bootloader for my phone I am sure I can get twrp for my phone if I can get it unlocked. So please if anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Also, any links that lead me to useful software that can help facilitate this process would be great. I don't want to do this using on click rooting apps I want to do this manually this is a learning experience for e as well and I want to get good at this.

ZTE Blade 10 Prime Root Guide?

I have been dying to get into rooting for a while now, and I figured that the low-cost ZTE Blade 10 prime would be a great first device to root. It seems I was mistaken as I have been unable to find a guide for my device. I am also a complete noob, so maybe I have been missing something? I also need to be sure that I can return my phone to its pre-rooted state as it is my daily carry and I cannot afford to have it bricked.
I realize rooting is inherently dangerous to the device, but is there a safe way I can root the device and have the ability to recover it if I screw up?
All advice is greatly appreciated.

Well unfortunately you'll have to take the risk to screw up your device if you wanna root.
And I'm not sure if you'll be able to unroot properly after you rooted.
But hey, you're free to give it a try: https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/zte-blade-10-prime-root-t4092479/
i know its old but you can unlock the bootloader and root with magisk via rom2box.
