Hello. I use Samsung Captivate smartphone.
When I chose "wipe data" in CWM menu (while installing new rom), it does not wipe it... does anyone know why?
thank you.
wipe data, wipe dalvik cache, wipe everything just to be safe
and when you boot your phone, do a factory reset

What do you mean does wipe? How's your new rom installation result? For custom rom it is needed to wipe otherwise you'll get a boot loop

New ROM is working well, but sometimes it is working slow... and sometimes Dialer is exiting when i want to type digits.
What cwm are you using? I'm on an atrix but I know some cwm on the atrix do not wipe properly and we have to use fastboot to wipe. Not sure how that works on your device.

Hello everybody,
Can't post in dev section. sorry for new topic.
I'm on virtuous unity v 2.39. When I connect the phone to charger I got boot loop after a while. It's strange cause when i charge via usb everything is fine. I tried to increase uv values up to stock but it doesn't help. Any suggestions what I can do? Except charing only via USB?
Thanks in advance for your help!

First try going in recovery mode and wipe battery stats.
If problem persists again go to recovery mode format ssystem, data then wipe data, dalvik cache and flash your rom again..
I already deleted Battery stats. Before I flashed rom I formated system and wiped cache. Do you think a reflash will help?

Hey Guys.
Im not completely new to rooting, but im no geek.
I own a HTC Incredible S witch i have been trying to root. I have done the following:
Unlocked the bootloader
Installed cyangemod recovery image
After that, i chose to install a custom rom, and now whenever i turn the phone on, a white screen appears with the HTC logo. Thats it.
S is still on.
H Boot is in version 2.00.000 still.
What can i do from now, to get this **** working again?
THanks, and regards Mikkel

When in twrp you wipe dalvik cache, cache and factory wipe before flashing a new rom

Yes I did all of that.
Could be a corrupted ROM file from downloading from server. Try downloading it again and reflash it.

They flashing an old ROM like clean ROM 4.0 for some reason certain Ppl are having issues but flashing that ROM then re flashing cm10 seems to help...are u coming from a 4.0.4 ROM? That for sure causes issues as the jb is built off the 4.0.3 kernel
