QuickCharge 2.0 External Batteries? - Galaxy Note 4 Accessories

Can't seem to find any that have the higher voltage for QC 2.0 to charge a Note 4, anyone else have any better luck?

It's a bit new to see that in battery packs and multi port chargers.

Ouch on that Incipio price - $89.95. For that you could buy 8 phone batteries with 4 chargers:
http://www.amazon.com/Capable-Batteries-T-Mobile-18-Month-Warranty/dp/B00Q4NQQA0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1421443171&sr=8-3&keywords=note+4+battery
I have a couple of 13000 and 15000mah external battery chargers but they aren't Quick Charge capable.

yeah, that's a little pricey for what it is...

If I get a little more disposable cash, I'd consider putting a minimum quantity order in and sell a few to those on here at cost plus shipping. It's worthwhile to resell if you can beat other sellers to the punch and make a penny. Once these become commodity and the prices drop, it's not worth it unless you're a big time seller. The profit per piece usually cuts it close for the time you invest fulfilling orders and dealing with problem ones. I got hosed on Note 2 cases a couple years ago where the cases were crap. One drop and the Note would pop out. Couldn't get the seller to take them back, and I didn't feel comfortable selling them knowing I'd get complaints (if it happened to me on multiple occasions.) Still have them. Might just unload them cheap when I get around to it.
With the QC options out there, I wouldn't buy a battery or charger that didn't have one QC port on it at this point. Funny, all the people wanting their wireless charging. I'll take QC any day.

Going back to the cheaper option approach - you can get the Anker charger plus two extra batteries for $25.00 and this Anker 10,000mAh external battery for $23.00:
http://www.amazon.com/Compact-10000mAh-Portable-External-Technology/dp/B009USAJCC/ref=sr_1_4?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1422131778&sr=1-4&keywords=anker+power+bank
Swap out batteries and use the external battery pack plus the charger to charger the spares. Charging won't be as fast as Quick Charge but hey, it's on the spares. For $48.00 you have a whole heck of a lot of spare juice available. And there are higher capacity but pricier external batteries available.

I have the OEM charger and spare battery. I keep it in the center console charged. If I need to I swap and let the dead one charge. If I have a heavy day and can't charge I grab the charged spare. I use a pack to charge other things when needed and once in a while the phone. So if I were to replace it, it would be with one with a QC option. Not everyone is buying a battery pack specifically for the phone, but if your going to buy one, why not have the QC option? It's also less time you're tethered to a charger when needed.

Energizer Energi Stick Emergency Charger for T-Mobile LG G2x /Optimus 2x
I was looking online for external battery options I came across this.
I see it has a keyring, Nice feature, But on my keyring it would get banged around and break.
It has a interesting design it curved to plug in and be held ot the back of the phone.
I also notice it said 5v and 500 mAh is this compatible with the LGG2X???
If it is, Is the 500 mAh enough to chagre phone and use it?
Product Features
Brand new Energizer charger.
Model number: AP650MC.
Connectors: micro-USB.
Built-in rechargeable battery. 5V and 500 mAh.
Simply recharge with your original phone micro-USB cable.
micro-USB cable not included.
For the price i think it should include the micro usb cable.
This is dumb. Why not just buy an extra battery instead? I mean I bought 2 for 12 bucks and it came with a charger.

Batteries are 1500 mah and run just as long as the stock batteries. I consistently switch them out. Its so much easier to just swap them then wait for my phone to charge. For an on the go person its perfect. I wish I had a link but I bought them on Ebay. http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_from=R...13&_nkw=g2x+battery&_sacat=See-All-Categories
They are all over and come from hong kong but it only took a few days to get here.
Haha I just bought 2 more and it came with a TPU case, 3 screen protectors (probably crap), USB cable and a battery charger.

Don't understand why you have to start off with "This is dumb". If it's not your thing it's not your thing...just don't get the epidemic of rude.
Anyway, stepping off my soapbox...personally I like the idea. Usually I'm around a charger...but on the rare occasions I need a boost it might come in handy. Yes, an extra battery is a good solution...but not for me. I keep my phone in a shell and hate pulling it off (seems to lead to new scratches and looser fit).
So, thanks to the OP for pointing this out...might just get one.
5v is plenty to send a charge to the phone. The wall charger is 4.8v. The 500 is just tells you how much juice the battery has. Ours has 1500 vs. this at 500, so it should theoretically last 1/3 of the time our replace 1/3 of the battery.

When you buy any Galaxy (or any phone) in Korea, they all come with 2 batteries and a external charger. And all the Galaxys come with external charging case and adapter like this one. It is unfortunate that you have to buy this separately, but I highly recommend getting this after using this method of charging for a year when I lived in Korea.
Let the second battery charge, swap it in the morning (they give you a few seconds to do a battery swap without having to reboot the phone if you have the usb cable connected). It is not a well known feature of the phone because Mr. Jobs has got us so accustomed to chaining ourselves unnecessarily while we wait for our phones to charge but it is a very cool and useful feature. It will make your life better in so many ways, and possibly extend the battery life and the life of the battery because you will always be doing a deep cycle charge. Plus. you will have a spare battery and a case to carry it in for long trips!
As you can tell, I love this thing.

My skyrocket battery model number is the same. My girlfriend is visiting me from Korea, and she's buying me a Galaxy SII LTE battery EB-L1D7IBK because it is cheaper there. I'm hoping it works. The polarity, voltage, size, capacity seems to be the same.

Even sweeter. Kinda feel foolish now for making my gf go to the Samsung Anycall A/S Store in Korea, pick up the battery and charging case for $27. then buying myself a oem adapter+microusb for $4.35 on ebay. Although I am still getting it for ~$31 and a adapter+microusb is a tiny bit better than a travel charger, It is still to be determined whether the Korean battery going to work because there is a soft restriction.
Anyway, this is a solid purchase and it is worth the extra $3 than buying just a oem battery alone.

Unless Samsung releases one, which they haven't, I wouldn't bother with it. Usually generic batteries might hold the extra juice initially, but the life of the battery tends to be unreliable.
Lucky Me...

I was going to ask if it also charged your phone but your review answered that for me. What a shame that they didn't include that one extra little piece of hardware. Not having it is kind of a deal breaker for me.
i got mine and love it. I like the fact that i dont have to plug the cable into my phone to charge. I go through a battery in a few hours so all of that plugging/unplugging makes me nervous (like the mini usb days when the mini usb ports breaking was more common then not)
this way i can charge my batteries without plugging into my phone, and the only time i will need to plug into my phone is in my car..

Is it safe to leave a spare battery on the charger for days after its fully charged? will it ruin the battery ? or when the light turns green does it turn off?
Wondering if i should worry about leaving my spare in the charger over long (3 or 4 day) weekends etc or if i should take it out.

820 spare battery and standalone battery charger options

I'm looking for cheap 820 spare batteries and a standalone battery charger. Understandably, this is a new phone and folks can't expect a lot of accessories to be on the market yet, but I figured we could have a thread to track the options.
For the Samsung Focus we were satisfied with generic batteries and chargers like this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Batteries-GT-...sr=8-1&keywords=samsung+focus+battery+charger
These batteries are still working OK after a year of use although they only last about 80% as long as the name brand batteries and according to our kitchen scale weigh a few grams less. The charger just cut out and fails to charge after a solid year of daily use. I opened it up planning to diagnose with the multimeter, but never got around to fixing it. Really though for $13 it wasn't bad for 2 working spare batteries. So I'm looking for something similar for the 820.
+1 for this, I am also looking for something same. Got it for my old HD2 and I bought the Lumnia 820, because of you can change the battery and extend your memory with the microSDHC Card.
We will see what time will bring us on extensions for the device. I think its to new at the moment.
Same again...looking for a spare battery for the Lumia 820
Infinidim
I will also be looking for to purchase one regardless of how difficult to remove the caseback.
Universal cell/camera Li-ion battery charger
Has anyone used one of these universal chargers that allows you to move the charging pins to fit any battery?
http://search.accessorygeeks.com/search?query=universal+battery+charger
Might be a good option.
AT&T still has the best shipped price for replacement batteries in the USA:
http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/accessories/batteries/sku6320370.html
Even if the site still shows a Samsung Focus-S battery
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA07Y0K09316
Best price I can find from a brand I suppose I can trust. After all, it is sold on Newegg. $9.99 with free shipping
I want it because I it says it is a Li-Ion as opposed to the stock Li-Po battery. For some reason I just don't trust Li-Po batteries.
I've used an external charger with adjusting pins for about a year. Radio shack sells them. It's not the best quality but as long as you don't drop it, its all good. No complaints other then the price. But locally their not easy to find.

We got the EZO battery and the cheap universal clamp charger from amazon as well. It works, but it doesn't last nearly as long as the OEM battery and the charger takes quite a long time to fully charge the battery. For $6 it ain't bad though.

I tried the ezo battery, and it actually lasted longer than the original battery, when it worked. I may have gotten a bad one though because it just started dumping its full charge all at once, and my phone would just die after about 3 or so hours.

RavPower 14000mAh Power Bank - aka Dynamo On the Go Portable USB Charger

Power Banks from RavPower are starting to remind me of Swiss Army Knives. I recently reviewed one that acted as a hot spot, provides charging, and allows devices to read SDCards and portable hard drives. The product in this post substitutes out those features for a huge capacity (14000 mAh) and a flashlight. It has two ports. One good enough to charge most cell phones and another that is good enough to charge most tablets (1A and 2A output respectively).
I've carried similar products:
in the field (@ Fort Stewart and other military training facilities)
on deployment
while in Europe - kept my phone charged and acting as a hotspot for a group of 5
at sporting events
on plane trips / at the airport
conventions (SEMA / CTIA)
The prices on stuff like this keep on dropping. It'd probably be good to keep one charged up and in your arsenal of mobile devices / accessories.

New Trent looks nice. I just had an issue with one of their products. It did get used a lot though so I'm not surprised the port finally broke.
The light is basically just enough to locate small items in the dark and plug stuff into the battery pack. You're not going to want to use the light lets say for setting up a camp site.
This looks Awesome.

If the iPhone was at the same level of discharge and the power banks were both charged, it's nice to know that one can recharge at a quicker rate. I couldn't quote the reply that it was measuring current since that was on a different page, or I would have.

i'm sorry to ask here... but is the home button of your S4 blinking? how?
Abought the charger, do you notice if it loses the charge if you spend a litle time without using it? I have a power bank that i imported fron china and it loses all charge if i dont use it for 4 days...

That was an Optimus G Pro =). This battery pack has held charges well just like their other product I showed in the video. Much better than some older portable USB chargers I've seen from various companies.

Ive had my Zagg for over 2 years now, with no replacement used yet. It has lost a bit of its life expansion since purchase, but I love it. Good investment for me

How does this compare to the anker one? The newest anker only lost 18% or so of the power from transferring power from external natterybto phone. How does this compare ?

Motorola 3000 mAh power pack for $9 free ship

I have one of these and really like it. They retail for $60, which is of course too much to pay for them. But $9 is a great deal!

You can get 2 for $15 also:

I have purchased from this seller before and I have no complaints (N/A). The power packs have a button you can press to see how much charge is left - there are 4 lights that light up to indicate charge level. In addition to the the built-in micro USB cable, there is a USB cable port that you can use if you have a lighting data cable to charge an iPhone.
These also are sold on Amazon for the same price but you either have to have Prime or buy $35 worth of stuff to get free shipping.

I believe it comes with a Motorola micro USB travel charger as shown in the pictures above.
Thanks for sharing. But I have a 10,000 mah power bank that was only $20, so I think I'll just be keeping that one. 3000 mAh is only good for one full charge
Nice find. I have two 12,000 mah banks but this would be more convenient to carry around for a quick top off. Motorola branded is also a plus.

yeah, mine has held up pretty good and I leave it in a hot car and drain it to zero all of the time, basically do everything you shouldn't do to a lithium ion battery and it still works great.

about 3 1/8 inches tall, about 1 3/4 inches wide and about 3/4 of an inch deep.
Is it really 3000mAh? I find that the ratings on these things are generally too high. From completely empty on a Moto X 2014, how full can it make it?

I never let my phones go completely empty. The most I let them get down to is 20%.
Generally if the charge on my phone is less than about 25%, then I will charge. If I am near an outlet, I use my turbo charger. If not, then I use this.
If you are in the 20-25% range, will this bring it to 100% (if the charger itself is fully charged)?

I will have to test it out. I usually only use it while I am out and about and my charge is getting low. I will use it to bring the charge up to at least 50% and then take it off.

I let my phone get down to 28% and the charger brought it to 100% in a few hours with still some charge left. The charger has 4 lights that light up to indicate charge level. It was down to 1 light when my Moto X 2014 got to 100%.
My charger is over a year old and it has gotten a decent amount of use by me. As I said, I mostly use it to keep my phone above 50% when I am out and about. And I keep it in my purse, which I often leave in a hot car for too long so if heat degrades these chargers, mine has been abused in that respect.
