Hi All, I am new to this forum and android world. I have a samsung galaxy wifi 5 android device running froyo 2.2.2. This is basically equivlent to IPod Touch (I guess). I am trying to make this device detect ad-hoc wireless connection so that i can connect this with my windows mobile phone. After some research I found that wpa_supplicant file needs to be modified. I have already found the patched and complied zip file here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=754961. I just need to know how do I flash this file in recovery. So far I have rooted my device, and installed ROM manager. Alos do I need any flash cards? Your help would be much appriciated. Thanks
Same boat here. Google hasn't seemed to help either.
How do you "flash" a zip file in Recovery?
Thanks
First you need ClockWorkMod and know how that phone's version works. Move the zip file that has the new ROM onto your sd card. Boot into ClockWorkMod. Then choose the zip file with ClockWorkMod.
yes google is your friends
but first insall recovery and after use it, choose the downloaded zip file and update your phone with it...
I bought a TF101 used and found that it had been rooted. I used this guide to unroot it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1093403
It now has build number HRI66.US_epad-8.2.3.9-20110423
I cannot figure out how to update the firmware to the newest version. The system update says there is no update. I downloaded 9.2.1.27 from Asus's website and followed the instructions to manually update, ie. put zip file on MicroSD and put it into the tablet. When I put the card it, it sees the card, but doesn't do anything. If I try to open the file manually, it says "file open failed."
I just want it to run with stock software and be up to date. I have no clue what to do from here. Any help would be appreciated.

the way ASUS packages their ROMS is a zip within a zip. You need to unzip once put the nested zip file onto SD card, the TF101 should pickup on the ROM

Sorry, I should have specified that I did that. Still, nothing happens when I insert the card.
I'm not sure if they this may slove the problem, try the next chronology update. Either that or the file didn't download properly.
Worst case scenario, use easy flasher to flash the latest official firmware.

when I took mine back to stock a ways back i had to keep mine rooted and flash mine just like i was flashing a custom rom.
so u may have to root again and instal a custom recovery to flash the stock rom on.
flashing the stock rom will unroot and put it back to complete stock.
Hello there i dont know if anybody has been having issues rooting the new 20G update but i for one did (at first) kingroot doesnt work nor does one click. But I was able to root mine through adb. If anyone needs help ill post what i did later .
Please post. I haven't rooted my 20g Stylo yet.
Ok so i downloaded sdk tools, and the TWRP recovery file. I then went into the sdk directory file which if youre on pc is located uner c:\programfiles\android\platformtools. I copied and pasted the recovery image in that directory and then openex up a command line in that window by holding down shift and right clicking. ***NOTE YOUR BOOTLOADER NEEDS TO BE UNLOCKED BEFORE DOING THIS**** you can find out how here http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-stylo/how-to/guide-lg-g-stylo-how-to-root-t-mobile-6-t3333916 just follow these steps and you're good to go
Hey GUys,,,,
LG V10 ILAPO is here
LG V10 Infinite Loop Auto Power Off FIX!!!
Flash it with lg up and uppercut link is below........
<MOD EDIT - LINK REMOVED>
Anything for h962? I have bootlopp and I want to try this method (without hope obviously.....but never say never)
Has somebody tried it?
Hi guys, not work for me & with error.
Is it applied for Lollipop, MM, and Nougat
Dear Fahad!
Are the tot files for LP, MM or N version?
Guys!
This is a lie. The google drive link posted in the description of the youtube video referred in the OP contains folder names and filenames of V10 model but the TOT files contained therein are of LG G4 models. You can check yourself by searching xVLG in the TOT files using any hex editor.
And that is also why the LGUP says that its an invalid TOT file.

Hi guys, last week i've got a problem with LGUP while installing a KDZ on my LG G7. The error is 0x2000 and it can't complete the flash of KDZ firmware.
After i fix the problem and i create this thread to help you.
1. Download the Official KDZ firmware of LG G7 ( it's a large file ): https://goo.gl/ESWAhb
2. Uninstall LGUP if you have an old version, restart the PC, and install this new version of LGUP: https://goo.gl/GRFHGu
3. Download this ZIP file : https://goo.gl/6idLqN
4. Open the ZIP and copy the DLL file ( named "LGUP_Common.dll" ) in this directory " C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP\model\common ". If there isn't the common folder, create it and copy the dll file inside.
5. Now the LGUP program works without any Error.

The DLL File saved life while rolling back to oreo from pie on lg g6. I was getting the error Use the latest dll LAF Protocol version is not match on lg up. The whole scenario in this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g6/help/lg-g600k-pie-issues-t3953256
I am trying to upgrade my G7 through LG UP ( as the ota never arrived, and LG Bridge does not work), and although I follow the exact directions mentioned above I still get the 0x2000 error and my update aborts at 75%.
my G7 region is TIM, not sure if this is relevant.. can anyone help?
Will this LGUP for the G7 work with the G6.? I have tried to replace or make a common folder with the Common.dll file however on booting LGUP version 1.0.28.9 the file becomes replaced with the stock Common.dll file. Any help would be appreciated as I'm trying to get my phone out of a boot loop situation.

Hey, how did you solve this issue? I have same problem. my phone got reset now (just restart and poweroff options)
Long story short, my phone was flashed with a neutral rom (not tim) from the store I bought it, although ot was brand new amd sealed...don't know how, probably in order for them to remove the Tim branding.
So, I reflashed it with it's original tim rom through lg up, the process went smoothly, and it immediately received the new OS update OTA.
Downside is that now I get a Tim startup screen, for which I don't care, and the Tim preinstalled apps, which can all be deactivated, so mo problem there too
