I e-mailed the sales department at Mugen and asked them if it was possible to setup a group buy for their high capacity batteries so we can get them at a discounted rate. I got a response this morning and basically if we can get enough people, we can get as much as 25% off!
So whos interested? This is not limited to just the Trinity, we can have a mix of any batteries they sell for any phone.
Check here for your battery...
http://www.mugenpowerbatterijen.nl/onlineshop.html
Once I get a number of people interested I can report back to Mugen and we'll see what happens from there, please reply and let us know if...
Yes, for sure I will buy one.
Maybe
Maybe, depending on the price.
Also include the model of the battery you're interested in. I.e. HLI–P3600SL
Sorry guys, I would have made this into a poll but I'm not sure how to do it or maybe a mod has to do it.
I will also be posting this on the general forum.
Thanks for your interest.

Good question, I e-mailed the rep and I'll get back to you when I get an answer.
World wide shipping will be free.
l'd love to have a Trinity 1800mAh battery, but Mugen's prices are too high.
€78.50 for the 2400mAh Trinity battery is a joke. gpsforless.co.uk and many other u.k sites are charging £14.99 for the same battery! and l'm sure its available in other countries at an equivalent price.
batteryupgrade.com are selling a 1600mAh Trinity battery for £14.37 which includes free worldwide postage, or you can get it from gpsforless for £12.98 plus postage. again l guess these prices would be available in other countries.
vanydotk, thanks for trying to get everyone a bargain, l'm in if they can supply the 1800mAh battery for €30 delivered. but l don't think they'll go that low as before any discount, are charging €57!
l've only checked their Trinity battery prices, so others wanting batteries for other models may find a bargain.
I'd order a 1800maH battery, but it depends on the price.
I'd order a 1800maH battery for the Trinity, but it depends on the price
is this another post from Mugen advertising their batteries?
Do a search for Mugen and you might see a pattern.......
If vanydotk doesn't work for them I apologise!
just wanted to add my Mugen 3600mah battery works flawessly and gives me more than double the time of my 1600mah battery. I can go over 2 days with heavy use of the phone. Streaming mp3s, using GPS, talking, texting and emailing.

Read the 1800/3600 mAh thread. Start from the last page. I believe these batteries are poorly built dangerous crap.
I would be interested in the HLI–P3600XL. Depending on the price and whether delivery to Australia is possible.
Look what I found on Mugen's international site. Of course it has a new back cover for the phone because the battery is so chubby. But 4500mAh, dang!

thanks for the link but NO WAY! $100+ is way to rich for my blood...
i just ordered 2 of these. i like the idea plus they are solar and charge all my gadgets on top of my phone. and shipping from china is 22 for dhl but they are worth it and are the size or smaller than our phone! holds almost twice the charge with multiple voltages including 3.7v which is ours.
Total was around $52 after shipping but just sell one or keep the other for twice as much! ill repost this link in thread.

Too expensive and UGLY
Wow, out if my budget.
I could buy 3 external batteries including shipping, for that.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
look at the back cover on that thing and then the shape of the batter! what a waste of space!
I am sorry but I get plenty of juice out of my battery, i dont know what i would do with a battery twice the size let alone three times the size of my current one... that **** would last all week without needing a recharge!
honestly for the same price, little bigger and more juice i could just lug around a mini nuclear reactor... where is tony stark when you need him? im trying to hook my phone up with that mini arc reactor bro!
Yeah, that is way too bulky for the size. If they wanted to extend the back of it, why wouldnt they make the battery a sort of P shape that extends further up the back so it doesnt have to bulge as much?
I MIGHT buy a battery that only makes the back case flush with the camera. I already dont like that camera hump on the back, so a battery that only needed to extend that much or a tiny bit more would be perfect. Maybe like a 2500mAh?
Thread cleanup, back on topic please.
My question here is this: Is it completely safe to use this battery?
I'm thinking perhaps in the future I might want to buy one because I deplete my battery extremely fast with constant use. The only thing I'm worried about is if it will hurt my phone in any way.

you know I was thinking this too, but I did watch some reviews on youtube on their other 4500 mah extended batteries for other android phone models. It doesn't look that bad, infact it seems to make the phones look like a tiny miniature powerhouse PCs from the future.
Right now it says their sold out and will get new stock in June, I'm definitley gonna get one. If like the reviews say that some people don't have to charge this extended battery after 3 days of heavy use then I'll be in G2x heaven. Infact, I would bet as LG was in the design proces for the phone that they were shooting for a phone that could last for 3-5 days on one battery charge, but since marketing research thinks consumers will only buy a slim form factor cell phone, they opted to cut corners on performance for cosmetics, which absolutley sucks in my opinion.
just ordered it. Will post a review once I receive it.
I ordered the 4800 one for my atrix as well. I just received that one today. Will try it out when I get home!

Right on, can't wait for the review. Just wanted to ask though, I saw that they were out of stock and that they'd get more in stock and if I ordered on that certain day I looked on the site, I would get it on June 3rd. I looked at the site again and it said if I ordered that day I'd get it on the 10th, now I checked again today and it said if I ordered I'd get it on the 6th. What gives with all the different ship dates?
You also said you just got the 4800 for your Atrix.
When did you order that one and how long did it take for you to recieve it?
How was it shipped out to you, UPS or USPS?
How did you purchase, with credit card or paypal?
How professional are they and quality of the product?
Does the product come with a specific charger?
And how long did your Atrix last on standard battery and how long does the Mugen battery last?
Sorry for the questions, I'm just very interested in this battery and I'm so ready to purchase, just waiting till they get it in stock, before I ordered, although I'm so anxious just to put in the order now and wait for them to ship it out to me on the proposed date a couple weeks later. But is that wise?

Check the forums for an easy to build tester. I tested a few, and stock batteries for g2 and vibrant, none of the extended ones lived up to their claims. They had more capacity, but not what they claimed, and some caused instability. Stock oem tested within 5%. Extended varied wildly, best being about 25% shy of stated. Imo, that's false advertising at best.
I still have the tester set up. Ship me a battery and I'll test it for you if you like. I'll even pay to ship it back to you, but I will post about it here if you do. Personally, I'm not wasting any more money on them for myself.

Came via USPS

I used paypal. Had no issues
How professional are they and quality of the product?
The quality of the product is awesome. At least so far. This is my second Mugen battery. I had one for the nexus one as well. worked just fine. The one for the atrix ROCKS right now. On average usage (with stock battery) I would get about 1.5 days. With the Mugen, I hit 3 days with 1 full charge under the same usage pattern
Does the product come with a specific charger?
Nope. Just the battery and the back cover.
And how long did your Atrix last on standard battery and how long does the Mugen battery last?
1.5 days vs. 3 days

By the way, I had a Milestone as well, which also had an extended battery but from Seidio, and that battery i was NOT happy with. Did not add anything in addition to the stock.
The only way to test a battery is using an external load / voltmeter jig. Based on my past experience with Mugen, their 4500mAh battery will test out much lower, my bet is somewhere around 3400mAh. Just enough to make you feel like you got value for your money. Theres no way the average consumer can compare battery life using the phone itself.

Yup you're right. I do not have a voltmeter handy so I'm just relaying my observations.
So far, it's been good (I'm still talking about the Mugen Atrix battery since I haven't reeived the G2x one yet). Far better than the stock battery (not just by a couple of hours but by days) so I'm happy

I'll pay a hundred bucks to get at least 2-3 days on one charge. Anything to get rid of this miserable battery life that makes you feel anxiety when you're away from an outlet, especially if you use the G2x like I do which is on the internet constantly browsing and watching vids and playing vid games.
Although on another note, auto airplane mode does indeed make the phone somewhat viable and stops the drastic bleeding when the phone is not being used, and I also notice that under settings> accounts & sync> background data turned off also helps very much with the horrible battery drain when on standby.
Tmobile has sent me a replacement battery which I had to pay $10 shipping, so I might recieve it on the 3rd of June, I'll hold off on the Mugen 4500 mah and see how the replacement from tmobile goes and play around with the other settings I just mentioned. I just don't like the idea of switching out the batteries each time. Gonna put wear and tear on the battery cover and all, so even though I have an extra battery, I'm still considering the Mugen extended.

I know exactly what you mean! That is the reason I was willing to spend $100+ on a battery because I didn't want to bother carrying extra batteries all the time or swapping them out or worry about charging each one..
I have one, lasts me 3+ days and don't have to swap anything.
Might not be ideal for most people, might be heavy but hey... it's perfect for me
Without a doubt, there is value in having a battery that can last 2 or 3 days. I've purchased large capacity batteries from Mugen and Seidio, and happily used them.
But, for the price paid for these batteries, I also expected to get what was advertised in terms of mAh rating. It irritates me that these companies feel that they can just print whatever inflated rating they want on these batteries and there is no consequence for them.
Heres what I've determined: High quality OEM batteries I've used in the last 4 years all have been around 1500mAh, as that seems to be the sweet spot in terms of size vs capacity for a phone manufacturer. Mugen & Seidio use cheaper cells, typically 1200mAh for the same physical dimensions as the OEM cell. From there, its simple math, 2 cells equals 2400mAh (not the 3000mAh stamped on the sticker. My guess, without even looking at a picture, is that the Mugen 4500mAh battery is a 3 cell unit with a real capacity of 3600mAh.
3600mAh is not a bad setup, I'd throw $100 for it. But I'd still be irritated.
What would be really nice is the manufacturer giving us the option of buying another cell, the stock oem battery with a replacement back that had a charge balance circuit and anything else it would need to be reliable. Known good cells, just an extra one.

This doesn't seem like a run of the mill chinese cheap battery. Packaging looks very professional and the company itself has amazing ratings. I would say this is a pretty safe buy. Its a company that designs the batteries in canada.
And with amazon you're well proctected. Ebay tends to always back the buyer up as well, but I always felt amazon was more legit. I have no need to ugly up my phone with a massive battery, nor do I need the extended time (stock battery suits me fine) but for someone that can't shell out a lot of money this seems like a solid deal

Yes and no. I bought a Mugen from amazon, and everything went fine. It died after about 3.5 months, and Mugen wouldn't replace it because I didn't buy direct from them.
So, most reputable companies who sell direct on amazon are OK. Mugen doesn't sell direct, so avoid them on amazon.
I'd like to see how badly this battery bulges out the phone. I've seen pictures of the galaxy note with this battery, and it looks... big.
I'm willing to test it out. I placed the order and I'll report back once I get it.

Here is my thing about batteries. Last summer when I was on the hunt for an amazing lipo battery that would make my rc car run the fastest, coolest, longest right. Well them batteries were about 60 bucks, but what I had found through my research was there were only about 4 companies world wide who produce lipo-cells, so why waste 60 bucks when I could get a 2-cell for 12 bucks. Well it only lasted the summer because I wasn't very responable with it but its perfomance was on par with the more expensive batteries and so was temp ect. It don't have to cost the most the be effective, sometimes I feel this blacknightavalon works for mugen, because I promise you people 100 for a phone battery, they seen you coming

I would never move to f**king China. Not unless they got rid of their Maoist regime. No, I just know a good battery when I'm using one, and I think the Ankers are pretty good too (as long as you order the two-pack with the wall charger).
The battery cover in the Amazon picture is clearly not for a MT4GS, but maybe it's just the stock photo they use for all this company's batteries.
Anyhow, for $20, I took a chance.
The company as a whole seems to make quality batteries, so I doubt they would skimp on our phone. And it is an actual company, not a "no name generic" battery. And as I said before, if you look up batteries for other phones from the same company, they generally have great reviews
Good point on the picture. That battery cover does not seem to fit our phone, which means the picture is a stock picture.

Personally, I'd go for a slim extended battery if they offered it, otherwise it won't work with the dock. Still, if this works well, for 20 bucks it's a no-brainer.

I've been looking for a cheap extended battery since I ditched the G2. I had a $15 3500mAh eBay battery on it and it worked just fine. I'll probably order this after I hear what y'all have to say about it.
Apologies if this has been asked millions of times before but are these expandable batteries worth the price and will it give me a big increase in battery life?
Specifically, I'm looking at the Mbuynow 6400mAh battery for my S4. The price seems fair but with all these third party batteries, are they what they say they are? I've heard good things about Mbuynow but wanted to be sure. Has anybody bought this specific or a chinese similar 6400mAh battery and have seen an increase in battery life?
Here is the link:

Yeah the price is fairly cheap for what is named an "expandable battery". The size is somewhat proof that it could possibly be that size but then again it could be a 5000mAh.
There is this review that uses a 3900mAh version and quite slim but specifically I am wanting to know about their 6400 version.

But that battery is bigger than standard but smaller than the ZL 7500 etc so why isn't it possible? It is between both and as such the size kinda makes sense. That being said yes the price is very cheap hence our doubts, even if you find it is only 5000 that's still a lot more than the standard battery for very little money.
It will be interesting to see what is reported back

Just wanted a bit of advice. Got the battery but wanted to know the best way to calibrate my s4 to this new one? Root isn't an option for me. If possible please share a method, once I've fully calibrated it I can report back

What I'll do is a factory reset. This way there are no apps and the phone is at a stock level. Plus the battery stats will have reset too. Give us a few days and I'll be happy to review it

That looks like a good option for those who want extra power but not so much added bulk. Anyway anyone tried it yet or going to try it? Another one that would be worth hearing about.
Just a question
I bought this Mbuynow 6400 mAh battery for my s4, I have cm12 optimized ROM. (5.1.1) . It seems the phone recognised as 2650mAh, and let me a day active usage only. In the Stweaks option I changed the charging power to 1900mAh... The charging time is about 4 hours.
Its still on 24 hours usage time.
Question: Is it the max lifetime of this battery? Or needs manual calibration?
If anyone can help me please...
my usage with 7500mah

buy zerolemon 7500mah
I currently use this battery and I can say that it is very very good considering the price. I can charge my phone and use it at medium to maximum usage and forget about charging for the next 2 days. on average I get 9+ hr sot
hmm i came across this wonder if legit http://www.ebay.com/itm/4300mAh-780..._Phone_PDA_Batteries&var=&hash=item2ed08a5e96
Feedback's pretty good on the seller. Why not buy a set and post the results?
some company called MPJ is also selling a 4300mah one which supposedly fits with the original back cover so it might be legit.

How long these will last and whether they do actually give 4300mah I have no idea, its a huge jump from 2800 in the same size so you have to question exactly how they can do that when samsung doesnt. Lets face it if samsung could produce 4300 in that exact same size and quality, even if it was a slightly higher cost, they would probably do it because the phone would destroy everything else for battery life with 4300mah as stock......and this makes me very skeptical.
Ideally what we want is someone to get some of the various higher capacity batteries from various manufacturers and do a few proper tests to at least see for sure how much longer they last when in use. We still have no idea how many charge cycles you will get with it still being that high but if it lasts for a year and really does give 50% extra capacity for that year then its probably a good buy. The danger even if it gives a decent boost for a few weeks during the initial tests is that it then starts wearing off and ends up worse than a stock battery after a month or 2. There HAS to be some catch somewhere or samsung would surely make these themselves and flog them at a premium for users that want extra power.
The key for me is being able to use the original cover as I dont want extra bulk.
We have to wait and see I guess.
anyone wanna give this a try?

HMMMMMM "Best replacement for the original battery with comparable standby and talk time" say what?!? isnt the point of an extra 1500mah that it lasts a LOT LONGER, not "comparable". They also list the wrong model number, since when is it i9600. Personally wouldnt touch that with a barge pole. Also seems far too cheap to be even close to decent.

Also no NFC. At $6, it might be worth it as a spare.. but I agree their marketing is sub-par... of course it comes from China so that's to be expected... You'll see that Amazon claims 17-28 business days shipping, so it's definitely coming from either China or Hong Kong...
