[Q] Get files opened/accessed by the operating system at a particular moment - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Is there a way of logging the files accessed by the OS at a particular moment? Specifically, I am trying to get the file(s) that is/are access when a network unlock code is entered. The purpose is to find the location where the unlock code is stored. On older Samsung devices, such as the Galaxy Ace, the unlock code was stored in a file within the /dev folder.

[Q] Read-Write access to the deployed native dll

Hi,
For developing an application I wanted to know, the exact path where the dlls deployed via XAP file are getting deployed in the phone (mango). I see that the XAP file can embed dlls etc and pass it on to the device. But Im not sure where (folder name/path) they are really going to. Some where in the xda forums, it says it is the Applications\Install\" + productID + @"\Install" directory is where all the external dlls etc goes. But when I try to access this file path from code (for creating a new file) an error is thrown.
Has one one got more information on how to overcome this access restriction ?.
Im using mago 7, developer unlocked, HTC Troppy with interop services enabled.
regards. The idea is to host a com dll and register it to the device for further use.

is it possible to access the media library via an explorer on device?

i'm trying to replace my oem carrier boot image with my own. i found the boot image that is currently being used, but, in order for me to get the new image in place, i have to sync it to my phone, then copy from the media library to /windows
however, i cannot find any way of getting to media library via explorer on root tools.
anyone know how? is there a secret handshake or something?
Your media library is under \My Documents\Zune\Content, but all files get renamed when they're synched, so it's quite hard to find a specific one without reading the Zune database.
That said, I believe the boot image is locked in ROM. It may not be possible to replace it short of a CAB update.

[Q] How to make a raw dump of flash memory on Samsung Galaxy S?

So yesterday my Samsung Galaxy S wiped out all of my sms/mms and settings. I want the data back badly, so I rooted my phone in hope to get access to the folders that has the data-files. However, the data was overwritten with a new mmssms.db file. So now I needed to find another solution. So I followed the advices on a site called deadhardrive.
They say I have to make a raw dump of the flash memory on my Samsung Galaxy S. They say that FTK imager is a program that can perform such task. However, I can not reach the folders that are on the flash memory (rooted access) with FTK Imager. With Android Commander I can access everything and also copy those folders, but that program can't make raw copies or other helpful stuff such as scan for deleted files.
So the question is as in the title: How can I make a raw dump of my flash memory within my mobile device?
Thanks.

Migrating blockednumbers to U11?

Greets. On several different phones I have had no trouble copying my blocked numbers list from one phone to another, but it hasn't worked on my U11. The one time I tried it, it blew up Android and I had to do a TWRP restore from a fresh backup (yes I always backup before I start messing with system files).
It has worked without a hitch on multiple Moto, Samsung and LG phones by copying the "blockednumbers.db" file, located in:
/data/user_de/0/com.android.providers.blockednumber/databases/
... and then pasting blockednumbers.db to the same folder on another phone. I use Root Explorer with root access, which has always worked like a champ for anything involving root.
The above folder contains the following SQL file structure:
- android_metadata
- blocked
- sqlite_sequence
The "blocked" file contains a complete (readable) list of all blocked numbers, and sqlite_sequence maintains a count. I just copy and paste the entire folder "blockednumbers.db" into its parent folder.
I have a database of more than 200 blocked numbers and really hate it that I can't get it copied to my U11. I'm on Android Nougat, 1.28.617.30. Any help? TIA!
