I can't flash gapps with cwm 6.0.4.7 as mentioned in link.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
And i am getting status 6 error installation aborted.
So I don't have google play services.
I can't upgrade cwm as it is the latest version for moto g.
Shall I downgrade or or there any alternate ways.
Please do Provide links..
Which build of crdroid are you on? (It is based on kitkat isn't it?) Because the gapps are 4.4.x so require a KitKat based rom) if your rom is KitKat based and you are getting the error then try using a different recovery (philz recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2639583) or different gapps (CM gapps: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps)
Edit: CWM 6.0.4.7 in particular has a problem with flashing some gapps. So it would be better to change your recovery or if you don't want to, you can try other gapps (this works as confirmed by me; I was also running cwm 6.0.4.7)

Please can you make 4.3.1 slim gapps? Because the lastests cm10.2 are 4.3.1 and I didn't understood why after flashing gapps was so many FC. I was flasing this 4.3.0 gapps in the 4.3.1 rom.
is this gapps based for version 4.3.0 or 4.3.1 ??
Can confirm working for 7 Feb 4.3.1 release.
Steps I followed :
Flashed the rom.
Boot into the rom.
Reboot to recovery - flash Gapps.
Then reboot into the rom.
My G2 broke last week and I am using this Galaxy S3 until my G2 gets repaired.
It is currently running a VERY old version of CyanogenMod - CM10.1 20130713 EXPERIMENTAL version and ClockworkMod Recovery V6.0.3.1 which I know is quite old version.
I was wondering what steps I need to take to get this phone running a 4.4.x ROM? What should I flash first? Also any recommendations on 4.4.x ROMs - AOSP vs. TouchWiz?
Thanks in advance.

My recommendation would be to update ClockworkMod Recovery first. I think they're on to version 6.0.4.5 now, not sure though since I'm using TWRP instead.
In regards to choosing a ROM I think that depends on what you're into. Since you're already running CyanogenMod and you want 4.4 then you should probably take a look at CM11. I had mobile network/signal problems using the "Official" build so I'm using a Mastamoon unofficial build, it works great. Search for: cm-11-20140709-unofficial-mastamoon-d2lte.zip

Do I need to flash anything before going to a CM11 ROM from CM10?
I see in a lot of ROM threads about locked bootloader or certain baseband, etc.
Any advice on that? Anything I should be weary about?

Yeah you should probably upgrade to MF1. There is a link to it on the page for that particular ROM i had recommended. I don't think a locked bootloader will be an issue at this point since you've already got CM10 on there.

I saw that there are new 12.1 nightlies for the T-Mobile LG G2.
https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=d801
You need to have KK bootstack installed.
Also you need GApps for 12.1 if you want them.
What is the KK bootstack you are referring to exactly? Thanks in advance!

I had to install a new bootstack for the stock lollipop to work here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g2/development/rom-tmo-g2-lollipop-30b-stock-rom-t3084687
This rom uses the old bootstack for kitkat. You can download it here if you installed the lollipop bootstack: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934556125
I flashed the 20g bootstack with cm and the rom kept rebooting every few minutes. Is anyone else having this issue?

I'm on cm12 right now. I never installed a kk bootstack for it to work? But when I try to flash 12.1 I get some error in twrp regarding some verification issue.

This whole post should be deleted by mods. Bloody cancer. Having the KK boostack installed will cause reboot every time you connect to LTE you NEED 30b in order for this to work. Did you even test this OP? Or did you just put this thread out here without even knowing if it was correct or not? Because I wasted a lot of time troubleshooting this and needless to say I'm a little miffed at you for the absolutely incorrect information you posted here.
I flashed it straight from stock Lollipop and everything worked, until a few hours later when LTE and 2G stopped working. I could make calls and get on wifi but no mobile data.
What is the best current guide/method for installing a custom recovery and CM12 on the D801? Are the nightly builds stable enough?

Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...l-one-click-freedom-tool-lp-30b-twrp-t3084474
Nightlies might be stable if I could figure out the bootstacks issue

Thanks, I installed the newest nightly and had the the same issue as you. Mobile data didn't work as soon as I installed. Unfortunately I also wiped my contacts, I mistakenly though they were backed up. I did an ABD and TWRP backup, so I'll see if I can restore them.
Hello, I'm using the rom alpha 5 CM12 with 3.10.40 kernel on my D2306 (Android 5.0.2) and want to know how to back up my system or installing a cwm or TWRP why the recovery cyanogen has no backup option.
I was actually wondering about the same thing a while back why does the CM Recovery has no option for backup/restore (these options are very important) yet they aren't supported by CM Recovery... I asked a similar question some time ago but didn't get any answer and few others. @lozohcum

i am using stock version of open gapps on motorola atrix hd. right now i have google play store version 5.10.30. i am on CM 12.1. nothing is working properly unable to connect to internet or downloading apps. and also feeling trouble in using other gapps too.
should i go back to TK gapps? as they were working fine but they were behind one version. so i thought its better to update gapps.
Is the version of your device compatible with the version of the GAPPS you've just installed? Maybe your device's firmware is out of date. I think the GAPPS version is incompatible to your current device firmware version.
