I bought this case thinking that I would be able to take off the case with ease, but that was not the case.
The case seems like it's almost too tight of a fit and I felt like I was going to break my phone trying to put it together. In fact, I would have scratched the hell out of the sides if it weren't for my skinomi skin. I probably won't be using this case much - if at all, but I will admit that it feels like it would protect my device. The screen protector is awful, as expected, but meh. Cost $20 @ Amazon if you're interested. I'll probably return it if I find the energy to.
I honestly wouldn't recommend this case to anyone, but here are some pics :silly:

Yes it is. This is my go to case when I need heavy protection (it's one of 5 cases I use). I didn't find it difficult at all to remove. As a matter of fact I remove and place cases constantly. It was probably difficult for the OP since he has a skin on it. The tolerances for these case are very precise.

Thamks. This is the case I was ordering next. I have the Otterbox Commuter, but I think it's too slippery, as I do a lot of high ladder work.

You know... Now that you mention it.. I also have a glass sp underneath so that likely did not help at all *-* Either way though, the top portion of the case (where I believe the phone is supposed to click into, correct?) was a really really tight fit T: Maybe I should have tried to click in my phone the other way though :silly: I can't remember what I wrote in my original post but I'm sure I already complained enough
The case wasn't all bad though (for me). It felt sturdy without too much additional bulk, but it just isn't for me d: Probably going to stick with my s-view until I find something better while lurking these forums :good:
Its too bad the Skinomi Techskin does not include protection to the Chamfered edges. Neither do the other skins on the market. Bummer.

I figure it's barely any metal anyways d: chances are that in a few years this will be my @home phone that I will just toss everywhere anyways :victory:

From what I've read its one of the best cases you can buy, I don't use it because it makes your phone as big as a HTC G1/Dream. I do use the Case-mate Barely There chrome snap-on case and from what I have personally found out is that they make the highest quality cases that I have bought for my Nexus One.
-------------------------------------
Sent from my Nexus One
I have it, I'm using it. I love it It's absolutely the best you can buy with the price, free shipping, good customer service. IMO, It doesn't significantly make your phone bigger or bulkier. It feels like a solid rock
I use this case as well as the new Otterbox Commuter case and they are both very good quality cases. I believe that the Otterbox offers a little more protection and feels better and is easier to pull out of your pocket but all in all, this is a good sturdy case! I do like the fact that you have different color options whereas the Otterbox does not yet...
Thanks for the reply guys!
I also like the chrome one here: http://www.case-mate.com/Google-Cases/Case-Mate-Google-Nexus-One-Barely-There-Cases.asp
It looks nice and less expensive, might get that instead.
I just got the Tough Case like 3 days ago. It is amazing! I don't think it makes the the phone that much larger, I actually like the texture and sturdiness of the case, its pretty smooth.
Had mine just over a week, love it. Good fit, good feel, free decent screen protector.

Tough Case, if you do a quick search I've put up a picture of my pink/black one.
case mate Tough Case is the best so far. i have two buddy's at work and they have different ones that cost them about 8 bucks ,and they ask me were to get it and i told them . ever since i had it i don't have any problem and trust me i recommended to every one...
I was in the market for some cases too for my wife who tends to just sort of abuse her phone (just throws the phone in her purse and cup holders) so I decided to get the tough case for both our phones and glad I did...its solid and well made. The holes match up perfectly and the silicone and abs are snug to each other.

Well it should be here in a couple of days. I really need to get a case on my N1! And I like the added feature of the card holder, in this day and age all you need is a 20. Dollar bill I'd and debit/ credit card

Looks good. I prefer innocase 2 by seidio. Very happy with mine and well worth the money IMHO. it looks more streamline than the pics ive seen on this thread.
The problem with the barely there case is the lack of protection on the bottom and top of the phone. That is where I got 90% of the scratches on my g1.
(see below)
i have the Barely There Case
for my N1
and i love it
especially because i wear skinny jeans and it fits on my front pocket perfectly
lol
all other cases made the N1 feel like i was still trying to rape my pocket with my old myTouch lol

My thoughts exactly. While I truly appreciate the company inventing a $24.99 case to protect my $6.99 battery cover..... Slightly feel like I am getting ripped off.
Now if the company made a couple of the Iphone 4 cases for the fascinate.... I might be more inclined to purchase one.... namely this big grizzly bear -> http://www.myincipio.com/iPhone-4-Cases-Accessories/Incipio-iPhone-4-EDGE-Hard-Shell-Slider-Case.asp
Yeah, thats the way the case should have been.
here
if thats what your looking for seidio makes a case just like that one. www.seidioonline.com
I have that case but the build quality leaves something to be desired and its thick, enough to make it a noticeable difference to the profile of the phone.
I was looking at this case as a phone that will provide some protection without adding too much bulk. I do have one concern if anyone can answer. I use the OEM car mount and was wondering if the phone would still fit with the case on. It would be super annoying to have to take the case off every time I mount it, which is multiple times a day.

I really don't think screen protection is that big of a deal seeing as I'm pretty sure our phones have Gorilla Glass screens
Gorilla glass doesn't protect from drops, only scratches. Also, if the phone falls on it's face, it's better to have something absorb the shock other than the phone's body

The monkey goods really help though. Have you seen any torture tests for it? Theres one where a guy drops the phone flat on its glass screen on concrete 5 times from 5 feet up and nothing happens. On the 6th or 7th time and at about 6.5 or 7ft up in the air it finally breaks. So were pretty guarded. I would get this case for sure if it came in white.
Just picked up this case this week. I have been looking for a slim snap on case since i will take it off for use in my dock. It fits the phone great and gives it nice protection to the back with out adding really any girth to it.
Thanks for the find. I will try to take some pics tomorrow and get them up.
Have a couple of these for my phone. They actually work very well and fit nicely. My phone came with one and I decided to buy another. Nice thig is the more you buy the more color combinations you can come up with. Here are a few pictures. To fin just type (Samsung i727 hybrid) into ebay and search through all the different colors. Not bad for under $10

Cool idea mixing n matching. My girl has one of these on her skyrocket. Good case indeed for the price.
I've seen them, but didn't give them too much thought because they seemed "cheap" in the sense of net being very good. Thanks for the real world update! :good:
I have been looking around for a good case, i had the otter box and its a great case but hard to get in and out of your pocket..... does the rubber on this case make it dificult to slide in and out of your pocket?
I recommend everyone take a look at the Ballistic Case line. I haven't found anything with this much protection. Check the Nexus S variant on Amazon for awesome reviews. TPU backing makes sliding in and out of your pocket a breeze.
The rubber corners that go a bit in front of the screen are without a doubt the best protection I've ever come across. No worries at all about any future drops, the extra few mm of bulk are worth it without a doubt.

I havent found any issues at all going in and out of my pocket. Being the skyrocket is very light (compared to my htc vivid) i would think that drops with this case would be more than effective at protecting it. This combined with a good screen guard is pretty good. Once and a while if you take your phone out of your pocket quickly you will notice the rubber on one of the corners might start to come off but it happens very rarely and its easy to pop the phone back in. I never liked the silicone cases but with this having the solid support that wraps around on all 4 sides it works very well. It also protects to hard keys on the sides and both the charging port and headphone jack. I like it better than the speck case i had for my vivid.
I am very anal about what I buy to protect my devices and I am inpressed with these. I will be buying one every payday until I have all the different colors that I want. I think I paid 7.99 with free shipping and had it here in 3 buisness days. Don't get me wrong though if you are very tough on your phone then I would recommend the Otter Box, Speck Candy shell or the Casemate Tough Series. But for most people these are more than satisfactory. Th rubber on the corners are pretty tough like that of the balistic cases. The case is just thick enough to keep the sensitive homekeys on the bottom from touching your face during a call.

I heavily disagree about Ballistic brand cases being easy to take in and out of pockets....my gf has one for her I727 and it's impossible to take in and out of pockets, puraes, etc.
That being said, that case has survived quite a few nasty falls. The protection is the best I've seen.

Perhaps. The in/out of pocket is really a relative opinion unfortunately since some consider any resistance a huge annoyance. I can see the corners being an issue though, especially if you like to keep the phone in front Jean pockets.

To be honest I'm not sure which will fit. I had the otter box and the pt case combo for my inspire and I didn't like either one. Just gets in my way a lot. I like having it in my pocket anyways. Feels safer that way. If you do find one that fits could you please share for other members that like the combo.

Is there a built-in screen protector on any of these cases? Some of the descriptions are unclear, and a built-in would be nice. Having to adhere one to the screen makes my Otterbox Defender unusable, as it would peel the protector off every time.
My mom bought one of these off ebay for her Galaxy S2 and she really liked it. I was considering one for my Skyrocket, but I ended up getting a standard silicone case. I've always had problems with my phone sticking in my pocket. This hybrid case was easier to get in and out of pockets but the rubber parts on the corner did stick a little. After a couple of months, though, I noticed that the plastic part of this hybrid case had cracked in several areas. I'm not sure how it got cracked, because she hasn't dropped the phone or anything. If anyone is interested I can try to post pictures, assuming I can find where she put the damaged case.
I'd definitely be interested in seeing that. I took my Defender off last night (found it was causing some heat issues with ICS) and put a Zagg screen protector on, which more or less rules out the possibility of using the Defender again. I'm torn between one of the other Otterbox cases or a handful of these.
I have this cheapo http://www.ebay.com/itm/White-Kicks...423428?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item2a1fef9d04
very similar type of design with the built-in kickstand. Personally the rubber hasn't given me any issues.
FYI, you can find virtually all of these cases on Amazon for less (including shipping) than eBay. Just search "i727 hybrid". If you're planning to mix and match, keep an eye on the manufacturers. Mybat and Case-Xpro seem to be the same company (or, at least, identical designs), but Dragoncell, which makes the cases shown in the OP, uses a different size of plastic mesh than Mybat/Case-Xpro do.
I'm going to order one Dragoncell, one Mybat and one Case-Xpro and see how much I like each. I'll post results here. I mean, $25 for 3 cases (incl. shipping) isn't much to complain about.
I purchased one and periodically I'd take off the case to showcase the phone's build quality because my friends were curious and today I noticed after owning and using the case for about 2 weeks that it leaves scratches all around the metal band. So now the entire front metal band on my phone is completely scratched up because of this case. So please stay away from this case and save your money for something better.
Well since you started. Ill continue.
The fusion one i got is warped at the bottom where charge port goes.
It fits well everywhere else except there. Im not gona damage my charge port because i have to force a charger in there due to the case firment issues.
Its very slippery and either i have oily fingers or the back of the case has an oil leak like my car.
The one i wanted to check out was the fusion max protect? Something like that.
But the tech21 looks like will get my monies once its available to other vendors

I've been doing some more research and apparently it's not the case but more of small particles of debris rubbing on the soft aluminum finish. So it's not really more of the cases fault and more it happening eventually from any case. either way still disappointing because my entire front looks beat. Oh well i'll learn to live with it.

Educate the public on how to remove a case then...
I also purchased this case and in 2 days it has scuffed up the sides as well.
As others have said, how do you take off a RingKe case without messing up your phone?
I personally went with Seidio and glad I did. Almost brought a ringke but I'm glad I didn't. Wouldn't have known how to properly remove it. I recommend the OP leave the tittle the way it is. Even if it is the OP using it wrong, word needs to get out that these type of cases need a special touch on them or they ruin the look of your device.

Glad I got my body glove satin case, I often take it out to show friends and not one scratch on white note 4
this is true mine has scraches whenever i remove the case and i dont remove it ofter
TPU is fine, stay away from the polycarbonate cases
Yikes, I'm sorry your phone got scratched up. I have the same case in SF Black and I remove it to switch batteries every night. So far, not a single scratch from it, maybe I'm lucky. I know it's weird, , but maybe it's the way you remove it? I usually turn my phone upside down and use my nail to expand the corner outward, before moving to the top (now bottom) part of the case to do the same.
As others have mentioned, be wary of dust and other particles that may get between the case and the bezels. I always give a quick blow into the case and a wipe with microfiber before placing my (also wiped down) phone back into it.
It sucks that it scratched your phone, but I can't say I've had the same experience, this is my favorite and go-to case for my Note 4.

Also, after examining the edge of the ringke and the iBlason, the edge seems very sharp and I think this is what is causing the scratches. I am going to try and chamfer the sharp edge and see what happens. I think some emery cloth and a little patience will go a long way.
Hi
Is someone so kind to explain the differences between case materials? Tpu, silicon, policarbon, gel, ...?
Is tpu the same as silicon?
Buying from the Internet is a mess, without touching and trying it before.

I don't think it's the cases, I think its the environment. Dusty or sandy environments I believe contribute to the scratching. Particles get between the case and the phone etc. Thats why people have such different experiences with the same cases. Ultimately I hope Samsung comes up with a better exterior design that avoids the soft exposed metal trim. I personally would have preferred the black paint all the way around as it has been far more durable for me. My wife will be going with the S6 when it comes out but only if they do away with the current metal trim thats on the Note 4.
I want to buy this case, but I'm not sure if it'll be good for protection. If any of you have this case, then please let me know how good is it.

I've watched a drop test video on youtube of this case being dropped from 2 story house. Just lil few scratches on the case and phone is perfectly fine. It also comes with screen protector.

Looks good. Kind of looks like the Spigen Tough Armor. Has some mainly positive reviews on Amazon so I think it should be good.

Ive been using the case since November and i haven't carried a wallet since. Regardless of what anyone says, it can carry 3 cards, not 2. I carry my license and two credit cards with no problem. I've also dropped the phone several times - on it's face and corners with no problems whatsoever. My wife also has the case and has the same results. IMO it's the best case on the market. I get a ton of compliments and people wanting to know where they can buy one.
Highly, highly recommended.
I also tried the Spigen - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MAWQKIW
Other version of the "slide" case that actually opens (its crap, don't buy it) - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PGCN7XY
Ultra Thin Slim (really cool..its very very thin yet will still protect. I'd have kept this one if it weren't for the slide case) - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OQ1IMQ8
The Spigen was crap compared to the Slide. THe kickstand was very flimsy and barely stayed open. Considering it's size (its bulky just like the Slide case is), I expected better. Since the kickstand was so flimsy, it defeated the purpose of it so why not have a case with the same protection but can also replace your wallet?
Verus/Damda slide ftw.

Currently, I own Spigen Tough Armor, but I see a lot of people moaning and crying about Spigen case scratching the bezel. So, I took mine out to check, it was lil scratched up; however, it doesn't bother me because I'll always use cases. Right now I'm debating either to buy the one you recommended or Krubox (http://www.amazon.com/Krubox-Shockp...p/B00RC2QIW8/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8). Youtube video of this case being dropped from two story house really impressed me.

Yes, I was impressed as well. Do you own any case? If yes, which one?

i'm CURRENTLY using a clear case from OBLIQ just to showcase the beauty of my Galaxy S6. the design is really nice and i like the color of the device.
Definitely not a strong/protective case for the device but i rarely drop it so not so worried. and plus, i don't like bulky/fat cases.
