Trying to flash back to a sense based Rom on my Verizon m8. I flashed Digital High's GPE Rom right after he first released it. I flashed his custom firmware l like he said to. I've tried to recast back to a 4.4.4 Sense Rom, and it installs properly, but as soon as it flips over to 4g LTE I lose my data connection. I can force the phone into cdma 3g data and that works.
I've flashed the stock 4.4.4 firmware, flashed the Stock 4.4.4 RUU, and went into the stock recovery and did factory resets to try and fix the radios, to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.
I will tell you what everyone has told me and hopefully it works for you. You need to flash the stock 4.4.4 RUU. Go into the stock recovery and perform a wipe. Reboot the phone and pray LTE works. There are actually a couple posts in this section on where to get the stock RUU.
After a month mine just clicked back on.

Hi, new Android user here.
I was trying to root my Nexus S phone yesterday and I'm having problems. There is a lot of rooting guides out there and I used one from xda and also one from unlockr.com. Managed to root the phone ok (I think), but everytime I flash a custom ROM, the phone won't start at all, it just sits at the boot up screen and repeats itself.
So I'm thinking, I should just start over again. So I flash the stock ROM from xda back to 2.3.1. Everything seems ok, the phone starts up... but it's always stuck on airplane mode and the phone itself doesn't even show stuff like IMEI, mac address anymore.
So now I figure I've probably messed the phone up enough and need help lol. How do I go about reflashing the stock ROM and getting my Nexus back to out of the box condition (Stock ROM and no custom bootloader)?? Any guides or step by step instructions would be very helpful.
Thanks
Did you wipe before flashing roms?

Maybe flashing the KB2 modem would help that but the 9020a came stock with 2.3.3 and not 2.3.1 so that could be it...I'm not sure but that software wasn't meant at all for ours so it could be part of the problem. But if I was you I'd take a look at this thread wich has all the stock software for your phone. Make sure you wipe everything in clockework and then flash the stock rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13123996&postcount=39
dsixda uploaded the stock backup and the stock recovery, you can read more at that link, good luck hope it helps
You can download the full stock ROM from the link below:
http://goo.gl/8P8vl
Move the zip file to sdcard. Boot into recovery and flash the ROM. It should get you back to stock 2.3.4 ROM, all locked.

I manually updated my dad's phone to ics with the ota file. He has the tmobile version and it's not rooted or anything. So i booted into recovery and installed the ota file. It installed just fine but now he has no service at all. We placed the sim card in another phone and it works just fine so its the phone itself. When we go into the network operators menu it gives us this "error while searching for network"

Update:I reverted back to gingerbread and i still couldn't get any service.
Does this mean i have to flash a new radio or kernal?

Try the stock OTA. It usually comes with an associated radio.img for your phone model.

actually i had same problem yesterday.followed the stock rom advice and it worked properly.
as long as i have rom manager.4.8.3 i did a rom backup before installing ics update.
i lost the service in ics and then tried to restore the rom 2.3.6, same "error while searching for network".
all i did now is flashing again cwm 5.0.2. i downloaded nexus s stock rom 2.3.3 from rom manager too.
i flashed the rom and everything went back to normal.
thanks for the advice.
Since installing cm11 I've been unable to update the CDMA profile. The usual fix (flash stock ROM, update, restore CM) isn't working because I can't get a stock ROM flashed. It always fails to flash in recovery.
Is there any way to get a stock ROM working after upgrading to CM11, or updating profile (not just PRL) without a stock ROM.
I see there are tutorials for changing the PRL but in my case it's the profile that needs updating.

Flash back to stock using RSD Lite.
You should get ALL of your CDMA provisioning tasks done before flashing CM.
:good: I finally got it working by using TWRP to "restore" the Stock ROM dumps from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2295643

Absolutely! Unfortunately my carrier told me after I flashed CM, that they hadn't provisioned me correctly and have to reprovision.
So, It seems ive effed up my Boost Moto G (on Page plus). Was fine on one VZW 4.4.4 ota .... then tried custom rom that i didnt like. Tried re flashing the old Verizon rom 4.4.2, and get constant reboots after about 30 secs and no Mobile or Wifi signal... Any help would be great.

How did you flash the stock Verizon (and Boost) 4.4.2 ROMs? Using what method/commands? Did you get any errors?
Fixed it!! I did exactly as randomchaos26 suggested here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/help/captured-verizon-g-4-4-4-update-t2824885
I reflashed the vzw 4.4.2 and the foloowed his directions:
quote: Save the update zip ( http://goo.gl/Vuw0P9 ) and the cwm flashable supersu zip to your phone.
Boot into cwm recovery and do a backup (assuming you have space on /media/data for a backup.)
Reboot to bootloader.
Restore *just* your system partition to stock with fastboot (using: CFC-fastboot_falcon_verizon_user_4.4.2_KXB20.9-1.10-1.20_22_release-keys.xml.zip)
Boot into cwm again, apply the update zip, then immediately apply the supersu zip.
Boot up normally and let it do its update stuff, then go into titanium backup and kill off any of the verizon bloatware that you don't want.

Just go back here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715225 and download the latest viper Rom and flash in TWRP. Make sure you make a backup if you don't already have one before you wipe and flash.
I tried that already and nothing on my phone worked, the actual phone would not call out and it would not ring for incoming calls. Any other suggestions. I have thought about updating the firmware and then trying to get root back and flashing the viper ROM, but I can't find where anyone has rooted the 4.4.3 firmware yet
No the 4.4.3 firmware is not rooted yet that I know of. Of you want to update you will need an RUU to flash I saw stock RUU in another post. Just before this that you can flash.

The Rom you flash should be already rooted?
Are you sure you are flashing the correct version of the rom, as there are several versions of M8 and each have their own versions of each rom.
