Howzit going guys.Im in the process of UPDATING my old Sony Xperia mini X10 (served me well for 5 years) to a newer Sony Ericsson XPERIA Mini ST15i
My question is, Do I just plug it in to my Sony companion and it will upgrade by itself or do I have to do some rooting and stuff?
According to Sony Ericsson XPERIA Mini ST15i specs it is running on 2.3(Gingerbread) right now but upgradeable to 4.0 ( I beleive Ice cream sandwich)
My main purpose is to maybe speed it up a bit plus theres so many apps that requires Android 3.0 and above so just staying with 2.3 my apps are limited
Any help is greatly appreciated

It's not available yet, a little browse over the (small amount) of forum on the arc would have told you that.

Hi, it should work.
I tried on a LG P700 and it doesn't but it seems to be successful with all xperia series.
Hi. I need help please cause I tried to flash my xperia pro with emma to update it but I got the error "phone locked" just as soon as I connected the phone, then I tried to unlock the bootloader in the official way with the sony home page tutorial installing android sdk and fastboot driver, I got my unlock code with my imei number and when I tried to do it with the comman window it said "failed: phone alredy unlocked" but when I try to flash again I get the same error "phone locked" please help me, I dont know what to do! Im a new member here but I have following this page seriously, I love development! My mk16 is android 2.3.4 stock and I wanna upgrade it to icecream sandwich stock. Plz help.

I'm very new to Android (been using iPhone since its release) but i got a Sony Xperia E4g as a gift from my carrier and I would like to update it to Lollipop or root it and get something like MIUI on it. This that possible?
I would like to get rid of all the Xperia software and just get a clean Android install like Nexus phones have.
