[Q] S View Charge-Cover for Glaxy Note Edge? - Note Edge Accessories

Is already the "S View Charge Cover" for our Note Edge available - like that for the Note 4:
http://www.samsung.com/de/consumer/...harging/EP-VN910IWEGWW?catnm=Zubehör&catid=PA

No, and I doubt it will come. We have the flipcase which reveals the edge screen, an s-view case would be pointless really..

A flip case with the Qi charging back cover would be nice though.

You didn't say what kind of dock you are searching for (desktop, car, etc) but I just ordered the Belkin desktop dock for $25 shipped. Its design lends itself well to cases. I wanted a reputable brand; there are tons of "cheap" Chinese docks on eBay and sites like DealExtreme but they are often very poor quality.
i got my car dock from verizon it clips onto my vent & it clamps down to the phone, with cushions of course.
only cost me $15 with my 25% discount
The smart dock for the note 2 works with some cases. I use it with a DBA cases ultra with no problems. And it charges at 2amps. I yse it every night to charge my s4. Here is a link

Because the s4 is basically the same physical body as the s3, it should work fine in any s3 dock, but when I went to order an s3 dock, they had the option for s4 (no difference?) but I'll find out soon enough.
I need a desktop dock

I like it but not for 100 bucks. I need a simple dock just for charging.

I got the Belkin dock, the build quality is good but my s4 will only connect without a case. I have considered cutting some of the plastic away but the USB port to make a better connection but not got round to it yet.
The S4 actually connects better without a case to the zenis dock I used on my s2.

With the spigen neo hybrid there is no chance of it connecting but even had a little trouble with the Samsung genuine flip case that adds nothing to the size of the s4. I can use the flip case on my old zenis s2 dock fine.

Did you get the Belkin Model F8M389tt that's S4 specific or did you get the F8M389CW model that listed as for Galaxy S 2 and 3?
Have a link to where you ordered from?

Cases that work with Samsung official wireless charging back cover

Hey all, I'm in the process in getting my wireless charging back cover from Samsung and wanted to know which cases still fit using that special back.
Sent from my SGH-M919 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
If it is a bit thicker i dont think that any case could fit, if its the same size like standart back cover every case for the s4 should fit.

I don't have a s4 but from what I have read you can just get wireless charging inserts and keep the stock back cover.

The Neo Hybrid has a bulge on the back since the wireless battery cover is slightly thicker. It won't work with the original Samsung case which I'm currently using right now
Any more updates on this?

How worthy is the S-View cover?

I have a Puro black TPU case and i was thinking on buying an S-View cover but i was wondering if it's worthy to buy and use.
If anyone here has it please feel free to tell me your opinion
S-View are great cases if you dont mind having to hold it open like a book. If you play games there not the best.

The S View screen is actually a bit useful. Add my mod and you get music controls! (Shameless advertising)
However, whether it's worth it at the price is something else. I have a Samsung black one and it got scratched a bit easily (could be cause of the car mount though), and I'm tslking about the front side, the material is a bit torn in a way.
Take a look at the Spigen Slim View Armor, it's what I'm thinking of next.

Not really worth the expensive pricetag. Doesn't offer protection. The s view window thing is quite cool though
If you are using TW roms you will love it. It works really well with calls (answering without opening the cover and really protects your screen scratches in your pocket etc. It is also more likely to prevent a screen crack after a drop that a case without any from cover (even with a screen protector on) withou affecting the size of the device that much. It does make your s4 feel a little larger (the back is not as thin as the stock cover. On the other hand have its own back cover means that it doesnt really matter if it gets scratched.
The downside is that is leaves the corners and sides unprotected which can scratch quite easily.
I've been using it since the day i bought my s4 and i love it. Am now using it on PAC ROM using s-view hatdroid app from playstore. (which works better that expected and has music support for apollo) and i can even answer calls like TW roms by enabling glove mode.
Spigen Slim Armor View all the way. Buy directly from Spigen... anywhere else its a 99% chance you get a knockoff. Learned that the hard way.
I love the screen protection it provides. And I love S View. Makes it great to just glance at the time, answer calls, snooze the alarm, etc without opening the case. And it seems the case provides very good protection without much bulk.

[REVIEW] Note 4 S-View Wireless Charging vs S-View Fake vs other cases

Guys,
Here is the quick review of the Samsung Note 4 S-View Wireless Charging Case and the Fake China S-View Case and some other cases ( Wallets and TPU)
Question?
Just wanted to put my opinion in also mate. Gotta say this is the worst case I have owned on any phone. I bought this case as I wanted to try the flip case. Firstly only get this case if you NEED a flip case. It covers the LED so only way to know if you have notifications is to turn the phone on. The edges of this case a hard and narrow, therefore holding the phone for periods becomes very uncomfortable. It also will not protect the phone if dropped, the front flip becomes slightly flexible so you will damage the corners of the phone if you drop it. Also the screen gets incredibly smudged by fingerprints unlike the actual screen. Very hard to keep clean as it has two sides to it.
Hate flip cases anyways

Yeah, The looks. I actually bought another S view (Gold color) without wireless charging
Verizonwireless.com has the charging case for $39.99 and the standard S-view for $19.99! Damn good prices considering the retail prices of these cases. Just ordered the charcoal one that has built-in charging. And no, you do not have to have an account to order. :good:

Thanks for the review.
I have a fake chinese flip S-view cover for my Galaxy S4, and for the price it was simply great. the S-view worked fine, and quality was really decent.
One I'm considering buying a similar one for my new Note 4, and I think that the original OEM cases (both wireless and non-wireless ones) are simple overpriced!
I made some searches, and noticed that there are no fake chinese ones with the IC chip which enables the native S-view windows. They all have those custom badly functioning apps you have to download from chinese websites, just like you mentioned in the video.
Is there any fake flip case with a working native S-view cover??
Thanks!!
I grabbed one from Verizon for $19.99 (as mentioned above). I found the price acceptable, but wouldn't pay the full price for it. It's a nice case, but the window smudges are annoying (as others have mentioned).

$20 is not that bad for a real S view case from Verizon. I don't think any fake one works same as real Sview because of the small magnet/chip insert cost more.

Besides those cases above in my review, I bought 4 more cases

2 - Gold Samsung S view case (real)
3 - a case with stand in the back (Garrco case)
4 - another simple backup case (using now ) and love it

And the Note 4 is so damn good looking, I just can't cover it all up with a big, bulky (ugly) case.

I had the Spigen slim fit case for my Note 8. I'm pretty sure they have one for the 9. The only problem is your can't use Qi charging or Samsung pay with the case attached unless you don't use the metal plate for mounting. This is the reason I didn't get the Spigen this time, bit I may reconsider seeing how that mounting system was so convenient and I can use my watch for Samsung pay.
