Unable to flash any ROM on XT1031

I have XT1031 with unlocked boot loader and twrp. I tried flashing cm11 M5, C-Rom and AOSPA but the phone went to a bootloop always. I have rooted my phone. I also tried flashing with cwm philz.
Also a month ago I flashed CM11 but after that I switched to stock and on flashing now bootloop occurs
I did factory reset every time and wiped cache.
Please help
The same thing happens to me, can you send the safety copy?, I need It urgently, my telephone has remained unusable and the last option is to restore a backup with the original rom.

I do not know if my guide will work with XT1031, but you can try converting to GPE and after flashing those roms. For XT1033 this is the procedure. As XT1031 is CDMA, it is better having a backup of your stock rom and skipping the fastboot flash fsg fsg.img and modem parts.

Thanks For the reply. I tried but the GPE image does not work on CDMA version
This is usually caused by having the wrong or corrupt boot.img Try installing the stock image using one of the guides in this forum. Cheers.

PhilZ Touch Recovery has a f2fs to ext4 option.
Wipe and Format Options > Custom Format Options
I've attached the gpt.bin from the 4.4.4 GPE firmware image, flashing it via fastboot should also make the userdata partition ext4, allowing you to boot. Also make sure you flash the GPE kernel here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2649763

I am not able to flash CM12

Hi,
unfortunately I am not able to flash CM12 on my XT1032. Phone is unlocked, converted to GPE and flashed via OTA to GPE 5.0.1 so I have L bootloader. I tried many recoveries (TWRP 2.7.x.x-2.8.x.x), CWM, CWM PhilZ Touch, different CM12 versions but without succeed. The strangest thing is that latest CM11 can be installed without any problems. I have also tried to convert data partition from ext4 to f2fs.
When I am going to install .zip, I am always getting this error, no matter what I've tried:
Code:
E: executing updater binary
Cant mount /system.
Failed
I will welcome any suggestions, thank you!
I think i found a fix. Worked for me on XT 1032
That was my original post:
Okay sorry for that double posting, but i managed do find a solution to the error message while installing cm12 oder any other lollipop rom.
It seems like the system-partition size of the GPE 4.4.4 differs from the stock or cm12. Thats why i always got the error status 1 (installation aborted).
I tried to downgrade to 4.4.4 and 4.4.2 with no luck, always the same. But then i found a modified gpt.bin wich lets you "update" to the old stock 4.4.2 partition sizes.
So i flashed this gpt.bin and then the other files of the stock gpe 4.4.2. After the first boot i directly flashed the 13/01/15 nightly of cm and everything works as far as i can say now.
Here is the gpt.bin-file: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...76&postcount=2

Thank you for your answer. According to many guides - GPE Lollipop bootloader and gpt.bin (when you updated via official OTA from Google) should have not been overridden with older versions because it can make your device bricked. Are you sure that this method is safe?
I am also considering to keep CM11 on my device and wait for official L images or new versions of recoveries/CM12.

I could flash CM11 without Problems but i got bootloops even with Retail EU Stock ROM (reboots on "Warning unlocked bootloader" message). I came from official GPE 5.0.1.
I think the gpt-file is modified because it was able to overwrite the lollipop gpt. The phone booted up and got me GPE 4.4.2 on which i could flash cm12 without any problem.
Works fine even after 1 day of heavy usage. Updated cm12 through cm-updater also. Maybe i was lucky, but it worked

How did you get this?
gpt.bin is not flashing here:
"(bootloader) Preflash validation failed
FAILED (remote failure)"
"version downgraded for primary_gpt"
I was using stock Lollipop Soak Test, and I've tried to back to KitKat.
Now I can't boot to any version and I can't flash one. Bricked.
You are not bricked, I got the same message, fastboot flash recovery and then boot to it.

I'm pretty sure this isn't going to be replied but when I flash the gpt .bin it will typically erase everything and repartition it for the 4.4.2. So... I have to sideload a zipped official ROM or flash it from command?

[Q] Moto G problem

I tried to downgrade my moto g from GPE (converted it) to stock rom like it was before, and now it is stuck on bootloader screen with the "warning bootloader unlocked..." sign. Every rom I try to install has now the same problem, even the GPE rom. What should i do now?

Are you on the 41.18 bootloader? If you are, don't flash the motoboot.img file as you can't downgrade the Lollipop bootloader (41.18).
Did you flash all img files including gpt?

Try flashing the 5.0.2 fastboot firmware image for your model:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58534609&postcount=519
Try re-installing GPE 4.4.4 using fastboot and then install stock 4.4.4 using fastboot.

[Q] Installing custom KK after downgrading from 5.02

Hi,
My search skills are very bad so pardon me if this has been asked too many times.
I've read somewhere that downgrading is possible by manual method without flashing the gpt and motoboot file.
Once downgrade is done. is it possible to install a custom kitkat rom afterwards?
You should be fine. Flashing gpt.bin file is necessary when coming from a GPE to non-GPE ROM. GPE and non-GPE do not use the same file format for user data.

I have a moto g global version xt1032.
Thanks. I actually installed lost101's optimized 5.02 which i did not think was a gpe version. however, I downgraded to 4.4.4 using a script to 4.4.4 gpe. I am getting ota for 5.0.1. If I do want to update to it sometime, will it work?
If you are on stock 4.4.4 with stock recovery and unrooted, OTA should work.

Help! Moto G Bricked

Guys help me Ibricked my moto g .Here is what i did
I have a XT1033 on stock lollipop with unlocked bootloader. So i first flashed cwm using fastboot, booted fine in recovery and back to system.
Then i again entered fastboot mode and flashed TWRP 2.8.5 for XT1032(There was no specific for xt1033). Booted fine into recovery , took a backup of entire rom .It was fine till now. Then when i booted into system the phone was stuck at boot logo. It kept on restarting again and again and when i entered fastboot mode to enter into recovery the recovery partition was also corrupted and it was stuck at teamwin logo.
but the bad things didnt end here. When i flashed stock firmware using fastboot the system sparsechunk files falshed with an error "FILE IS TOO LARGE". I tried both 4.4.4 and 5.0.2 but its still stuck at bootlogo.
PLEASE HELP ME DEVS

Follow this:
1.Flash gpe 4.4.2 firmware( u may have xt1033 but still flash it)
2.Don't update the gpe to 4.4.4 or ur device will hardbrick(don't cry afterwards)
3.flash asian 5.0.2 firmware from fastboot
4.enjoy!
is it safe to flash gpe 4.4.2 over over 5.0.2
And if i flash it am i supposed to flash it with or without gpt.bin and motoboot.img
and also while flashing asian 5.0.2 are these two commands needed to be flashed.
