SP1: Can I delete all the small recovery partitions? - Microsoft Surface

Hi guys! After I move the recovery partition to an usb flash drive using the windows procedure, I can't merge the free space on the ssd because of some small partition on the drive. It is the partition number 5 in the image below.

My question is: if I delete the partition 5, will I be able to reset my surface using the usb drive I have created before, or not? Why does this partition exists? Why it should be there just in order to prevent the partitions to be merged?
Thanks

Please help me! I can't find any comment con web

No, you can't. If you want to recover the recovery space and merge with you main partition you need to reinstall windows. You can download from Microsoft the latest windows x64 pro update 1 iso and reinstall every application. Of course you need to backup all your data before.

Try a different Linux distribution, a USB card reader, or a different PC.
What Windows version are you trying this on?
Can you burn the Gparted image to CD and boot from there?

[Resolved] How do I resize partitions on MTK device?

Hi, I have a UleFone Note 7 with an MT6580 processor, and 16GB of internal storage.
It originally had Android 8.1 Go installed, which is a lot smaller than LineageOS 17, which I am trying to install.
because of that the system partition is only around 1.4GB and the data partition is around 12GB.
LineageOS installs fine, but then there is only around 100MB free space left in the system partition and trying to install GApps fails.
So my question: [Solved] How can I make the system partition bigger (say 4GB) and the data partition smaller?
I got help on the xda discord server, and managed to do it using adb shell and parted/gdisk
I want to install this rom too.

How did you manage to root your device? I have the same but already tried all the ways and I am not successful, how did you solve it?

Recover binary files and database files

Hello,
I am running Android 9. My phone didn't have space for daily whatsapp backups. So I used to delete the backed-up msgstore crypt db files of whatsapp daily. And I don't have whatsapp backup to google enabled. Now yesterday somewhere in the middle of the night, whatsapp has tried backing up to local storage and since the space wasn't enough, all the chats have been cleared, every message.
The media still exists on my gallery. I had some important messages which I wish to recover.
My phone is rooted and twrp installed.
I wish to know there if is a way to recover the deleted msgstore crypt db file from a few days ago from my phone. Is there a adb way where I can backup the userdata partition to pc and then search that on my pc using a recovery software.
Please let me know any way possible.
Thank you.
You may try to pull data in recovery mode using the attached tool

Data recovering apps (with root) can't find internal memory for recovering data

Hi, i have Mi 9T with lineageOS 17.1, that i deleted accidentally a folder with pictures, but as precaution, i have a few data recovering apps that use root and can do a proper "full" scan for recovery, instead of just "deleted" recovery.
they use root, but they don't see the partition where the user data is, and find nothing after scan. tried 3 apps that use root for a proper recovery, all result the same. nothing is found to recover. some don't let select where to scan, but the ones that have this option, only show this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Don't know if is a magisk problem, or if the "list" of partitions that is show to an root app is configurable, or i need to mount something to make it able to see the user data (i think /storage)
any help appreciated

Nexus 5 system partition table does not exist

Hey everyone, I made a stupid decision to try and repartition without any prior knowledge and I made a really dumb mistake.
Without looking up that it was Nexus 7 thread and not Nexus 5 thread, I installed these zip files through TWRP:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Which are posted in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...on-extra-space-for-rom.3599907/#post-76278047
Due to the dumb mistake, I can no longer install system.img through ADB because I receive this error:
Is there any way that my phone can be saved?
Thanks.

You can do a new and larger repartition (or try to restore stock one) with just one simple terminal command, if you install this TWRP.
