SD card Issues - General Topics

Hello every one i got this phone doogee dg310 before couples of days.
Everything is fine just one a little problem. When i put my external sd card its working. Than i try to plug phone via usb and transfer file to sd card everything is good but after 3 time connecting to pc and doing file tranfer and when i disconnect from pc i got problem. I am try to open any of files explorer and its get crash. and I am trying restart phone nothing helps. And even when i try put another card is the same. But the strange thing is that when i formating my sd card with computer and put back to phone is working fine and another card working fine until iam using file tranfer with usb 3 times. Phone andorid is kitkat 4.4.2 Maybe you know how to solve it ?

You haven’t mentioned about the storage capacity of your SD card. If your phone can support 32 GB then I suggest you to use 16 GB SD card. Try to connect your SD card with another PC and try again.

My phone spports 32 gb cards and mine card is 4 gb. Maybe its kitkat fault because i read that another people have similar problems with sd card and they are using a kitkat android.

I am trying to use sd card adapter and its the same problem and when this problem apear no sd card working until format, it even show that not sd card are turned on even internal.

I think it's crushed. Use a windows 7 based PC and connect sd card to it . Press format on the pop up menu and also press recover bad sectors . In most cases it will fix your problem . Search on internet for any mem. card repair tool and that might be help you .

Ok thanks I will try. Maybe you can recomend good tool to repair sd ?

unfortunately but its the same bug i am connect to my laptop with windows 7 and format and also scan for bad sectors and trying this with usb and after 4 time transfaring files i got the same problem

[Q] Damaged SD Card Help

I have a Samsung Galaxy Showcase I500 i was on stock 2.3.5 and i decided to flash a custom rom so i installed newest miui rom for I500 1.12.9 i think.. So my problem is that if i reboot my phone it seems to make the sd card corrupt. which isnt really a problem because i always keep it on. The first time it happened though my phone rebooted on its own and was kind of glitchy. Since then i have had the sd card damaged problem 2 more times but when i rebooted once and once when i pushed files from my computer to my sd card in usb storage mode. i really like this rom but i cant continue to reformat my sd card every couple of days and reload music download album cover redownload themes etc...its getting old... any help would be greatly appreciated. by the way i have tried reformatting with my computer and my phone so i know that wont fix it.
fix sd card
try using this linkhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695243
there has been many positive results.
I have not had good results. i have tried 99 times and nothing i don't know what i am doing wrong. can someone plz help
Does the computer recognize the SD card?
On computer format the sd card
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
Reformat
Reformat your SD card by right clicking -> properties -> and format it. See if this helps. Also, try using another SD card to see if it is just your SD card or your phone that is bad. Deduce and solve
i have tried all of this reformatting from my phone from my computer every which way i could. i have used my disk management and nothing works. i decided to keep my 8 gb in there it is working without flaw. but both the 16 gb ones just keep getting corrupted. This is weird because when i tried installing miui with my 16 gb sd card it wouldnt work so after pulling my hair out for two days i found a post where someone said to use an 8 gb card to install it and i did and it worked perfectly. i guess this phone rom doesnt like 16 gb sd cards.

It is not likely, but Flash memory does has a chance of failing even if its new, I have had a couple die on me with fairly little use... I would possibly try to contact the place you bought it (or if it came with device the manufacturer) to look into possible replacements.
Tried other computers? other card readers? If you ever get it back up for mat it and select "default allocation size" in the format dialouge. should help with future use.

[Q] memory card issue

i have htc hd2 and i was flashing a new wp7.5 rom but my pc restarted and now my memory card doesnot work its not recognized by pc or my phone only nokia phones recgnize it but they demand a password and i dont know the password.
i tried different methods to crack the PW but nothing is working cant format my sd card as its not detected by pc via cable card reader anything.
htc hd2 connected to pc by cable also dont detect the memory card.
any solution to get my memory card working.
i have tried hard resets and different android roms too.
My best guess that it's a file system issue(ie, if the card is alive).
Try and do your best to get it working on the computer. If it doesn't work on the computer then I don't think it could work elsewhere.

[Q] [HELP!] Micro Sdcard corrupted

So I had this 8gb micro Sdcard that came with my phone and for Christmas I got a 16gb one. I had a lot of precious stuff on the older 8gb, so I put it into an adapter and connected it to my PC, planning to backup the contents and then put it on the 16gb. But when i connected it in, it said "This card needs to be formated before using". I first i thought the adapter was broken, so I put the micro sdcard back into my android phone so I could connect my phone to the computer and do it that way but when it turned on it said "Sdcard ready to remove". The phone wouldn't recognise it either!
I have already put other micro sdcards in the adapter and they work perfectly.
I have a lot of precious stuff on the micro sdcard so if there is a way to fix it without wiping everything, I'd be really happy to hear it.
Will give the person who answered best thanks in all of their last 15 posts.
Maybe try disk manager on your PC and see what format is says the card is..
otherwise try the phone again and again hopefully it will work. Ive had that before and a combination of playing with disk manager and the phone I managed to get the stuff off my card

i would try inserting it into your phone several times to try to get it to catch..also reboot phone while card is inserted..if you have to format the card you can still get everything off of it by using a program like "recuva" .. ive used it many times and it works like a charm..nothing is ever erased on a sd card..its only overwritten..so as long as you havent overwritten anything on the card you can easily get it back..formatting will not overwrite anything
Connect your card to pc, open mini partition tool wizard. Click on your memory in program and next open.
I tried putting the sdcard back into my phone several times and always didn't work . I went onto diskmanager and see screenshot below for info (it's g/ drive). I then tried formatting with various settings and always got a failure see second screenshot.

Hey. Thanks for the reply, I installed that program but it confuses me. How do i access my sdcard with it?
My sdcard is not partitioned or used for swap or anything.
Oh and I've tried formatting with exfat, fat, fat32 and NFTS and always fails
Do you see your sd card in this program? If yes try wipe volume
I checked your screens and your card is RAW- file system is broken or is unknown to the windows , try this:
1
close ALL your programs, insert your sd card to your computer and ONLY WAIT,(15 min.) do nothing, dont touch mouse (weird? yes but your computer will try to repair file system, fot 2gb is less 5-10 minutes, but your is 8 gb class???, that wait more)
2 (optional, but you should try 3 point)
Format your sd with windows installerr (format it during window installation using windows setup disc) you can cancell instalation after format without probles
3
If still nothing (after 25 minutes) try this program http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/sd/download/index.html - IT IS LAST OPTION WITHOUT SPEND MONEY
Tell me if it worked.

Hi,
I have a samsung galaxy note 2 and i bought a cheap micro sd card from ebay which was a big mistake. the card is 64 gb and i bought it a month ago. it was working fine until yesterday. i got a notification saying safe to remove sd card.i went into storage settings and it says mount sd card. when i mounted it,i got another notification saying blank card and then it asks to format the card. i took the card out and did the same procedure several times but the same thing. i've got important data on the card and have no other backup. i also used the usb cable to connect it to the computer but it only recognizes the phone memory and not the card. i dont have a card reader. i have checked several threads here on xda but i cant find anything related to my problem. please help me....please its really important. thanks.
