[Q] GT-P1000 not booting after HEIMDALL Failed Flash - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everybody.. I'm in trouble I would appreciate your kind assistance.
I was trying to flash my GTAB GT-P1000 Wifi 3G using Heimdall
I followed the instructions I found in this forum. The flash failed and got this message:
Code:
ERROR Partition "primary-boot" does not exist in the specified PIT
Then the TAB shows only a GREY Battery screen and only after I plug it to wall charger.
It no longer gets into the recovery mode or the Download-Mode using the known combination: Holding Power + Volume down.
At first I was scared, but I used another combination: Pressing Power and both of volume buttons - and + then releasing Power button while keeping the volume buttons held.
In the screen there is a small android and a text:
POWER RESET OR UNKNOWN UPLOAD MODE
This trick allowed me to enter into a different Download Mode, and both odin and heimdall detects my device.
Now I don't know what should be the next step.
Please could you tell me what I should do to make my tab alive again? Any hints are welcome.

Hi Guys,
Finally I succeeded at getting it into Download Mode, I run Odin3_v1.7 and tried to flash it with GB_Stock_Safe_v5
But the flash always fails after movinand.mst.

Sorry I can't be of much help, but this is the galaxy tab 2 forum, you are looking for the galaxy tab 1 forum. Might be more specific help there. Good luck

[Q] Samgung Galaxy S2 - Non official ICS Fail attemp installation!

Hi,
This morning I tried to install the ICS on my Samsung Galaxy S2, model GT-I9100G bought in Germany SIM lock free, but the phone is not working any longer. I follow the instructions published on cnet.co.uk. I cannot type links here since I am new, but if you type in Google the following:
How to install ice cream sandwich on samsung galaxy s2, you will find them in the first link.
I used Odin and the "SetupConnection.." got stuck in the same status for 10 min. Therefore, I decided based on some information on the web to pull the usb cable, pull the battery off and try one more time.
I tried to put the phone into download mode one more time, but it was not possible. The phone was just showing something like the following:
Phone icon ... Warning sign (the yellow triangle with the ! inside) ... Computer
Anyhow, I try to install once again the ICS with Odin, but this is what I got:

Hi,
An update of the issue with my phone.
I found the [GUIDE] Fix an unflashable or soft bricked GSII on:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1457458
I follow step 5 for "NAND rw coruption", I follow step 5 because I was not able to get to Download Mode. I used Odin to flash the kernel proposed by Phistachio, I9100XXKI3. It seems that it works.

After this, it shows a the following: Samsung Galaxy SII GT-I9100G with the yellow warning warning. After this procedure I was able to get into Download Mode. So I proceeded with the thread instructions from steps 1 to 4, using the Recovery Package/ROM proposed Phistachio, I9100XXKI3. However, this time the process did not work.

What could be the next step?
Thank you,
Trukero
there are a different between GT-I9100G and GT-I9100
so be sure bro ..
yeh maybe rom not for your model i9100g
There isn't any ics ROM for the i9100G so you flashed a i9100 which bricked your phone.you should read in the gs2 section, there's a thread what to do know, just search for it

You can't flash roms from the i9100 because of different chipsets.
Sent from my GT-I9100G using xda premium
Hi everybody.
Thank you for Jahai advice on this thread. I looked deeper into the GS2 forum and I found what he has mentioned and I SOLVED the PROBLEM. My phone is fully operative once again.
Summary:
1.- I Bricked the GT-I9100G since I used a ICS not suitable for my phone. I got the same picture as the website below:
Look in Google under : Repair your bricked Samsung Galaxy S2...
Therefore I was not able to Go in Download Mode.
2.- I used the step 5 from, "NAND rw coruption", proposed by Phistachio, under the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1457458
I used the kernel he offered I9100XXKI3. With this procedure, I was able to y get the Download mode again after taking the battery off, and put it back and immediately Volume Down, Home and Power. Only step 5 nothing else.
3.- Then I followed the procedure defined by ToMmY_hun under the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1448765&highlight=9100g
I have used the pit file as well. I tried without it, and I was not able to flash the firmware successfully. For more information about this step look at the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1568756&highlight=9100g
By catanzaro27 at 28th March 2012, 10:54 AM.
4.- The phone is working again.
Hope this help.

I got an over the air update from AT&T which I guess didn't go well because the settings app kept crashing. I had never done anything technical with the phone so I called them and they recommended doing a factory reset. I tried this and it didn't solve the problem and I was out of warranty so I decided to try and fix it myself. I have tried a few different methods of trying to get the phone to work with different md5 files but nothing has worked so far. I can get to download mode and recovery mode but nothing else. I tried putting version on called root66_ATT_I747UCDLK3.7z and got this error message (see below). This one seemed to get the furthest but I'm at a loss now. I believe I have already rooted the phone but at this point I don't care I just wanted to have a working phone.

[Completed] Stuck in Odin Mode

Hi, I was rooting my Samsung Galaxy A7 and it got stuck with the odin mode. The rooting process went smooth and there was no error in the odin log but my phone will not boot up to normal. I go through the internet for some advice and suggestions. I find many and tried them all but none seems to help. I tried to go to the recovery mode and it says the recovery is not seandroid enforcing. So for one last shot I tried to flash it again with odin and the log is :

S8+ odin failure

Hi everyone,
This morning i clicked on an app "torque pro" and my phone immediately rebooted itself and got stuck in a constant reboot loop. I couldnt get into stock recovery either. I decided that the only way to bring it back to life would be to flash the stock firmware again via odin.
I have tried for the last 2 hours using different versions of ODIN and Different stock firmwares but i end up getting a write failure everytime around 70% of the way. The log is below:

My phone is technically an ATT S8+ but i had flashed the Canadian Bloatfree firmware before. Does anyone have any suggestions how i can fix this. Smart Switch doesnt even have the option to initialize so i cant force it to flash stock back on the phone.
use a official cable(usb) maybe that will work.
Tried a couple of cables as well as the one that came in the box with the phone... same result unfortunately.

Drivers maybe
Drivers are all good. Since I am in Canada and the phone is AT&T... Samsung Canada wouldn't even check what's wrong with it.
Samsung website showed Ubreakifix in Buffalo as an authorized repair facility and I took it there... Thru weren't able to do anything to the phone either.
Just a little bump...
Samsung Canada is being ridiculous and refusing to service a USA phone
Hey you! Here is your fix
1, load into download mode (bixby volume down, power button)
2, click cancel (volume down)
3, load into download mode again
4, click continue (volume up)
5, flash, no error now! No need to flash another bootloader or etc, just every time you want to flash anything use this trick.

I have the issue to and I tried this method for a few hours and nothing changed. Flash error in Odin is still there.
I saw this guy doing it in a YouTube video. . Looked like the timing of it was very tricky . . . . Did you see the video ?
hth.
I saw a couple of videos in which the guy goes into download mode again the moment he starts Odin.. I've tried that many times but I end up getting the same error. With that being said in my case the BL anf CS files flash without any problems.
The AP file though goes 70% all the time and then stops at "__XmitData_Write" portion. I wonder if there is anyway to find out what that is.
Try if you can flash TWRP with odin.
If successful, format data and wipe everything.
After that try flashing official firmware.

I attempted to follow that link so i when through the steps came to step two of downloads and had to find a S7 Snapdragon Root .tar so i did and found this XDA forum https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-s7-edge/how-to/root-method-nougat-t3566978 which was the first thing on google searching for the snapdragon.
I followed those steps and i for the error Secure check fail : Boot

Have you tried the non-modded version?
I'd have used that first
ODIN 3.12.3 or newer

IT WORKS!
I downloaded this file
USC-G930R4TYU4BQK3-20171221083318.zip
Wish I knew where I got it from but now my phone is actually turning on!
There was a loading screen iv never seen before thought it show
Installing applications with a black bar then smart switch popped up and the bar was filled instantly with yellow lol iv just never seen this screen before from
past uses of any Samsung device.
Good stuff, just be cautious with that model S7, it's a snapdragon meaning much more difficult to unbrick if you brick it as the bootloader is locked

Its really buggy the OS itself. Its slower the normal idk if its just because of how fresh it is like the flash maybe just give it time?

Did you factory reset after the flash (or use CSC to force the reset)?
I'd reset it, it should be pretty smooth after maybe 5 mins of first boot
