Guys,
Can you please help me with this typical problem?
Set a destination on Google Navigation and start driving. And observe the screen if it gets re-aligned between turns.
The screen gets stuck in the same orientation for a few seconds before it gets aligned again in the right direction.
Has it got to do with the phone's sensor?
Please post it here if you have the same problem or solution.
Thanks,
Vinay

I've used Google maps with navigation quite often, and never faced any such problem. Have you tried clearing the app cache and stuff like that?

Hi,
so the title just says all about it. When using two fingers (or more) to scroll and zoom around (for instance Google Maps), it is very jumpy. It seems to be completely random. There are days where it doesn't happen at all.
I have turned on this feature where it shows you the trace of your finger movement on the screen: Normally you could just draw two lines, each one with one finger. But when this issue occurs one of the lines just disappear or the both disappear and start from scratch. So it looks like the system thinks that I put both fingers up briefly and starts a new trace.
I hope you get what I'm trying to say, not a native english speaker
Ah, more info: The tablet is on stock rom. I use one of those microfibre textiles to clean the screen <- that maybe the problem?
Thanks for any tips!
Am I really the only one with that issue? Any ideas would be VERY welcome as this problem is really annoying!
Hello, i`m a proud user of Z3, bought it yesterday and totally happy with it, but i ran into quite big issue for me. GPS turns off whenever i lock my screen, every time i unlock GPS starts to seek for signal and it takes few moments, i would be glad if it would stay on all the time. Does anyone know how can i change this?
Thank you!

Not quite sure, but do you have stamina mode on?
I'm not fully into this, but if mobile data gets cuttted off (by stamina mode), then the GPS will stop working fully (it standards search with both GPS and mobile data).
So try go into stamina settings and allow background data when screen is off.
Sure is something to do with stamina mode where it will off the background data and power usage when screen lock... You can go in the stamina and select GPS or other services to allow it to continue running even after screen lock.

Mine doesn't do that, in fact on the weekend I had google maps doing walking nav for me, I locked the screen and had the phone in my pocket. I had forgot that I had not shut it down, and got a surprise of an american voice in my pocket tell me that I had reached my destination.
I am sure the GPS on all the time will be determined by the application that is using it.
I have another app that tracks my movements to sync up with my camera later for geocoding and works flawlessly.
And as mentioned here also, it could have something to do with stamina if you have that turned on.
So what app are you using to utilise the GPS? It will also need to continue to be running in the background to work as well.
Hey! thank you all for your input, i will look into your advice.
Hey guys, quick question and just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I notice when I'm using my navigation and a turn is coming up when I take the turn it takes the app a few seconds to adjust and recognize I made the turn. I also notice if I turn a different way than the navigation tells me it takes a few seconds to realize I did that before it re-routes me. Last thing I noticed is when I'm on the highway and take an exit and slow down sometimes the navigation thinks I'm still traveling fast on the highway and the suddenly it snaps off to the exit ramp and catches up to where I actually am. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm on 4.4.4 firmware with CleanROM 3.0. I've tried clearing maps data and re-launching but it doesn't seem to help. Just looking for some ideas here guys, thanks!

I've tried virtually everything I've searched for to fix the Nav issue. Still no luck on my end.
Anyone else experiencing this issue?
In my device Gps in google maps is not working properly.
First time it wont show the exact location after closing and reopening it sets the location correct. But if i move, it can't track it and go into grey dot.
But the google navigation works perfectly.
Anyone else facing this issue?

I am facing the same issue but on LineageOS 16.0. I tried to use GPS Locker to find satellites but none were found. I was also using the magisk optimized GPS file replacement. If anyone knows anything, please help. Not having GPS sucks.
My GPS on stock android is also not to good. Sometimes it shows badly my location and often it does not detect directions well. Arrow is pointed in wrong direction and when I move it is moving to the sides not forward. Also when I launch Harry potter game my character is also walking sideways. I tried to calibrate compass but is does not help to much.
My issue is gone now... I did nothing different just regularly updated my phone...also haven't tried any of there games so can't confirm if this is present there
Using Google maps for navigation. Seems to work well until I turn a corner. Then usually the arrow remains at a 90 degree angle to the direction in heading. Anyone else have this problem? Is there are fix or a calibration?

I had a similar issue to this on the first day of using, I simply force stopped Google Maps, cleared cache & data and it's been flawless since, hope this helps!
