[Completed] best tablet for custom roms under 200$ - XDA Assist

I am wondering what tablet under 200$ 10inch and under screen. I currently own a Galaxy tab 2 7.0 running slim LP and my tab is starting to die I think. The battery doesn't last too long anymore so I am looking for an upgrade to this. I looked at the tab 3 7.0 and 4 7.0 but they don't seem to be getting any attention in terms of roms. The tab 4 is supposed to get LP sometime but I don't see that happening until right before the next version of android.
Thank you

Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus

Why are no developers developing the Cyanogen mod 9 Android 4.x.x for the galaxy tab 7.0 plus WIFI only version? Its a real nice device and it will be awesome to have CM9 for this device. I believe the galaxy tab 7 plus is being ignored for the galaxy tab 10.1.
its all to do with the sauce codes...Samsung have them under wraps and are not letting them go easy also their is an issue with correct drivers etc... im sure when the codes are revealed their will be 100s of developers trying this baby out (wifi/3g) but in my opinion i think Samsung have kept this from us deliberately as they are launching the new g-tab 2 this is basically a crappy version of out tab but with ICS not honeycomb and buy them allowing development on our device before launch would kill the thrill of the new galaxy tab 2... disappointing i know
I read a article this morning that said almost the exact same thing you just did. the Tab 2 seems like a lower end device than what the plus is. Slower processor (or just underclocked) with ICS. I am perfectly happy with the tab plus.

Samsung to update the Galaxy Tab 2 until Android 4.2.2, testing on 1st Gen Galaxy Tabs
The last week of March is here and we want to start this week with some good information! Today, SamMobile received some exclusive information regarding Android updates for the Galaxy Tab. Samsung wants to update the Galaxy Tab 2 to Android 4.1.2 and stop with Android 4.2.2! Samsung is even trying the same with the first generation of the Samsung Galaxy Tab (GT-P7300 / GT-P7500). According to our trusted insider, Samsung is busy testing how Jelly Bean updates work on the Nvidia Tegra 2 T20 processor*. He pointed out that these tests mean nothing for now. We will keep you folks up to date about the first generation of Galaxy tablets by Samsung.
The Galaxy Tab 2 by Samsung will receive Android 4.1.2 and end with Android 4.2.2. Samsung will no longer support the Galaxy Tab 2 after the Android 4.2.2 update. The updates must be done before the end of September. The issue with Samsung’s Exynos processor has been resolved and Samsung has, once again, started to test Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmwares for the Galaxy Tab 7.7 (GT-P6800) and Galaxy Tab Plus (GT-P6200).
Everything sounds a bit far away but Samsung really wants to update all tablets in Q2 and Q3 to Android 4.1.2 or maybe directly to Android 4.2.2.
The insider reconfirmed. All smartphones and tablets based on a dual-core processor will end on Android 4.2.2.
* If the processor could handle the update and the test firmwares are OK.
We agree with the most of the users here on SamMobile about blaming Samsung because of the delay in updates but this sounds really good. Samsung will be the only brand with good reputation of Android updates. Remember, most tablets are already 2 years old and even Google only provides support for its device till 18 months.

[Completed] [Q] Note 10.1 (2012) kitkat tablet ui

Hi every one,
I recently bought a 2012 version note 10.1 it was on jellybean 4.1.2 and I loved the user interface with nav bar and status bar fused at the bottom just like a computer. Infact It was kne of the factor that I bought this tablet.
The problem arised recently as I updated to a 4.4.2 official build and lost that layout. Now it appears as a huge android stretched across whole 10 inches and I seriously hate the taste. It looks ugly.
Now I want to get it back is there any way root or no rooti can get that tablet ui back...?

Help me deciding which device shall i get

Dears ,
i am using android for years now not a new user ,, i used to carry 2 phones one for work the other for my personal use like games, watching movies, listening to music, etc...
I had Note 3 N9005 and Moto G Dual SIM but both was stolen from me 2 weeks ago ,, i decided to get a cheap device with 2 SIMs to carry instead of buying a 2 new mobiles - there is no money of-course- so i picked LG G PRO Lite Dual a dual SIM phone from LG which is good so far with big screen doing the job and LG announced that the device will be updated to Kitkat by the end of the year which is not bad
http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_announces_kitkat_updates_for_older_optimus_models-news-8908.php
So now i am using this phone for all matters ,, Mails Music Movies Work ,, i miss having my own personal device for my entertainment and can't decide ,, shall i get a tablet ,, shall i wait for Note 4 ?! but don't think that it's a good idea to carry 2 big size phones
if i will get a tablet which is better ?! Galaxy Note or Galaxy Note Pro ?! Shall i wait for the Tab S ?! Next Nexus tablet ?! very confusing to choose
so please advice if you have a similar situation ,,, what shall i do ??!
Thank You

[Completed] Xmode Games App, Galaxy Tab 4.0 LTE Version, Galaxy S4, Sony Xperia Play R800i

Hello, the only reason I started rooting my Android devices is the App Xmode Games. (And it seemed I should have done that for many other reasons already, not just for a game btw)
The app asks the user for root permission to work. Though I've got to tell you, I've rooted 2 phones S4, Xperia Play, and the App started working after I've installed a CUSTOM Rom, Kernel, etc.
I've recently purchased Galaxy Tab 4 LTE Version T235 (I think ). Maybe it was a wrong move, but I watch a lot of movies series in my tablet and Samsung delivers better Screen/Color Quality than Nexus 7(better for games).
Now 1) My Question: I want my Tab 4 to be able t run Xmode Games for Clash of Clans, and I was wondering if you could help me do that. There is a way I think for the T230 Model to be rooted and put a custom Rom but not for the LTE Verision. I don't want to be opening up another thread for Tab 4.0 T235, I wish you can help me in this thread!!
Thank you in advance for your time!!
Hi,
It doesn't appear there's a root method yet. You can review this thread and join the discussion there if you wish,

Good luck!
