hello
i bought the note 10.1 and i am having 2 problems.first, when i activated,the youtube app could not open.i tried many times but nothing.i delete it with romtoolbox from system/app and tried to reinstall it from the market but i could not do that because it was saying that it is already installed.i had the youtube.apk back up in my s3 with appmonster, so i took the apk from there and i copy/paste in the system/app of my tablet again and put the permissions same as the other apk....but still nothing...could not play.and from that moment,when i make a reboot ,it says "update software android" before it starts.and when it starts, a small window appears saying that "youtube interrupted".
i did wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache and then fix permissions but nothing. i did a hard reset to solve these problems,but nothing.still youtube.apk does not open.still when i reboot it,it says "update software android" before it starts, still a small window appears saying that "youtube interrupted".does anyone has any idea how can i solve these problems?
shall i flash the official rom again?or something else?

My youtube stops working if I update it on play store to 4.x. The original verion in Rom (3.x) is working.

my play store version is 3.9.16
Version 4.1.23 works fine here on 8013 running latest rooted stock. Instead of OTA I upgraded via Kies which is the full1.5GB image instead of a patch. Something to consider trying if you still have issues.
Mine to is 3.9 may be you should try downgrading play store and then try it happened on my optimus 2x few times not with you tube though
Just to inform you,i flash again the official rom and youtube(version 3,5) was playing perfect.i update it from the market and youtube was not opening again.so the problem was the update

When I try to install some of my older apk's from sd card I get "app not installed". I have unknown sources enabled. I am wondering are these apps most likely not compatible with 4.4? I am running ART, but when I switch back to Dalvik they still wont install. Has anyone else been running into this?

Can you be more specific about which apps and versions?
What version of Android were you using them on before KitKat?
I found a solutions, first of all use a root browser to locate and delete your data folder for the app you are trying to install, data/data/com.appname
once I did that I was able to manually install the apk's via adb
Im not sure but this may have had something to do with trying to install the apks with ART at first. Both the apps I was trying to install are not compatible with ART. I switched back to dalvik and did those steps and I was able to get them working.
Hello everybody
Yesterday I was trying to install a patched version of the play store, so i just tryng installing it as an update an the only thing i got was "aplicacion not installed" so i decided to uninstall google play store using root and then just installing the patched market, i was still getting the not installed text so next y copied the app no system, gived permissons and everythin, app sudenly crashed
After this i decided to go back to stock GP just by replazing the modded app with the original one, still getting crash text, i intalled and coppied manualy the app, flashed it trough TWRecovery and nothing, app still crash
I dont want to delete anything or flash a brand new system
Does some one have any idea about what to do to make it work again?

Hello.
Yesterday i did a factory reset on my phone.After which i am unable to install a "few apps".I have tried installing app from the .apk file i had as backup and also from Play store but no success.
When trying to install from .apk file the app begins to install but after like 3 or 4 seconds it says.
"App not installed"
nothing else.
i tried to install the same app from Play store, again no success. App downloads 100% but when installing it says something like "unknown error: error code"-24" " and then nothing.
This happens for a few Apps only.They are all server softwares that contain Apach,PHP,MySQL.The first of these i installed was KSweb server. Then last time i did a factory reset i faced this problem for KSweb server. I tried quite a lot of things but no success.
So i downloaded another app (DroidPHP) with same functionality it was downloded and installed fine and also worked great.But yesterday i did a factory reset again after 4 months maybe. And now i am unable to install DroidPHP aswell. Also KSweb is not installing and showing same error.

I installed an apk app mod on my Samsung galaxy. the apk is an older version of the app but when i went to uninstall the app as usual to install the latest release off google play instead of downloading and installing it just installed the previous apk installed from google which i havent seen before. i have tried clearing the data and using app cleaners such as sd maid but its still installing the unofficial version. i also tried to install a newer version of the app from an apk off google and it wont install at all. i believe that after uninstalling the app that some of the files have not been deleted and google recognises these as the correct app files. using sd maid i traced to this path:
/data/app/~~HQ5E7AhU5J2CuBMCGbfjTg==/com.snapchat.android-PWYp8D9k00ttRuj98fIkTA==
im pretty sure this is what needs deleting to get google to download the official version but due to samsungs security rules i cant delete it. i dont want to root or factory reset my phone
