Hello, I own a Xperia play Original 2.3.4, build number 69.I manage to downgrade to 2.2.3

I have read that http://www.cyanogenmod.org/ is good, but when I download the apk and open it, I get a message unsupported device? Can anyone please advice me with a good Stable gaming Rom for my device?

Baseband Information: M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404006
Kernel Version: 2.6.29
Build Number: 2.0.A.0.504
Im actually trying to install the CM7 for x10 mini pro with the phone specs above
the problem is im not sure if my phone is capable of doing it...
Can anybody enlighten me please?
Will this update my android version? from 2.1 to 2.++ or higher?
or should i find the CMVersion for my android version so it will match?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
of course you can install it..I have installed cm7,8,9 on my vodafone 845 so yes you can
Is it going to update my android version?
From 2.1-update1 to newer version?
Cm7 is based on 2.3.x so yes it will upgrade, you can also try cm6 wixh are based on 2.2.x but cm7 is faster and better in my experience.
Read the rom page carefully and the instalation instructions, most cm7 roms will require the latest stock version from sony, plug the phone into seus or ericcson pc companion, update to latest version, then download and flash the rom.
Heres a good one to get you started:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1201116
Btw, you will need root and a recovery installed to flash rom, you can find all the info in the mini pro development forum.
Sent from my U20i using Tapatalk
Rooted my phone already with z4root permanently so im onto recovery now...
Im still learning and of course praying hard not to brick the phone. hAhaHa

Hey there,
does anybody know if paul-xxx's Sony Like Mini CM7 does also work with the Build Number 2.1.1.C.0.0?
The thread itself says 2.1.1.A.0.6 was required. But my one (2.1.1.C.0.0) seems to be newer. Can you help me?
(I'm asking this here because as I am a newbie I cannot post in the dev forum)
Me: noob

Kernel: 2.6.29 [email protected] #1

Hi,
I don't know if it will work with 2.1.1.C.0.0. But you can downgrade to 2.1.1.A.0.6.
You can download it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125587
Just flash it with flashtool 0.9.0.0 --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
You can root your device after the downgrade with this tool, too. If you don't know how you can find here a little howto: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343
Then install CWM and the rom.Don't forget to wipe data and the cache partition.

Now I have a root access but my kernel/rom doesn't support overclocking. Some data of my phone:

Baseband-Version: 8x55A-AAAABQOAZM-203028G-77

Is it possible to install a custom ROM like Cyanogen Mod 9 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1445819 on my phone? What do I have to pay attention for?`
Thanks for your replies

This is not an answer to your question. (Sorry about that) In fact, I wanted to ask you a question. I have the same mobile with the same kernel build but I couldn't manage to root. I get stuck when I have to root using DoomLord's method. I am able to flash the 562 kernel but, my phone doesn't display anything after that. (The instructions say its normal as there is a kernel mismatch) but the batch file is not able to root as after flashing the "USB debugging" and "Unknown sources" is turned off by default. And I can't turn it on as my screen won't display anything. Any suggestions?

It is possible, you have to upgrade to ICS first, or if you like GB you can install Cyanogen Mod 7.
