There's no 4.4 AOSP for our device, we can expect a alpha/beta release of 5.0 AOSP for the next weeks/months but therefore it's not working on dual SIM E3 variants like 2212 for now.

Ok, really it comes to custom roms for sony we always have to be patient because everything always takes a little longer if not for the work of the external dev we would not ever leave the 4.4.2

Check if GravityBox (latest from Xposed) has that option
Why not just flash a 5.0 based custom ROM in the phone and enjoy??

[REQUEST][4.4.4][ROM]Paranoid Android 4+ for Z3

Hi there. I'd like to ask our fellow developers if they would be able to port PA 4.6 from Z2 to our Z3. If i am informed correctly there shouldn't be so much work as Z2 and Z3 are pretty much identical. @slipsystem, @Myself5, @Alx31TLse and @Untouchab1e. slipsystem has developed an patch for stock roms. Wouldnt be something similiar possible with aosp roms like PA? Thanks in advance for your replies.

Let's hope that this awesome ROM wont stay ignored by other developers. However, i guess you could say (being developer) if it would be hard to do this.

I know very little about Paranoid Android so I cant really say, but yes, the Z3 and Z2 are very similar, the only tricky part really is rild, but it should be fairly straight forward to port it, yea.
I will have a look into it. But the Patcher will only work on stock roms as custom roms require a custom kernel. I will see if I am able to port pa using cm as a Base. I cannot build pa from source as I don't have a good enough Internet connection.

Hey I had a look at CM 11 Development .
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/orig-development/rom-unofficial-cm11-xperia-z3-t2892718
so the following features wont work in PA ether
Camera
Audio
RILD
Probably a lot more...
I will try to port it anyways just to test my skills. but in order for those features to work I need a functional CM11 build to work from.
Although it sounds bad, i guess theres nothing you can do. But, if you are trying to build from cm instead of aosp, it means that pa5 should be portable right? As we have a "fully" functional cm12

CM12.1 for Xperia C3 D2533

Good day all.
Due to the lack of a single Custom ROM for our beloved Xperia C3, I have taken it upon myself to develop CyanogenMod 12.1 for it. If you are reading this and have any experience with developing ROMs or would like to beta test the ROM, please contact me either over PM or via email at [email protected].
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Riccorbypro
You first need a working recovery for the rom, that's the main thing needed for anyone who took the risk of rooting the rom. And then hack open the bootloader >.>
I don't mind testing, but this is the only phone I have and I can't afford another (college student here too). So this is a list I made when anyone asks me about installing custom roms.
1. Have a trusted source compile a working recovery, and test backed up rom to ensure it works
2. A flashable tool+stock rom that works
3. List of identified errors with their possible solutions that confirmed works
Sorry, I'm not putting much hope into this phone but if anything ever works, this is my proposed counter to Murphy's Law.
Edit: if you're looking at AOSP similarities, you might want to try Carbon Rom for a starter, but that's my personal taste. My last N7000 ran Carbon KitKat and it was one of the most stable I've had.

If you're looking for recovery, XZDR for the T2U works perfectly on C3. I'm able to do anything recovery-related on the TWRP variant. Go to http://nut.xperia-files.com/ and build your kernel using D5303 device and then D2533 firmware presets. If you need to upload the kernel, use XperiFirm to download your firmware and use your kernel.sin. Or you can use the installer for T2U from the same site. Make sure to use the 2.8.21 variant though.
Works 100%.

XperiFirm + Flashtool. Never let me down.
Also, the Bootloader of C3 uses the same unlock code as the Z3 Compact. Tried it a few weeks ago, running unlocked right now.
Can't say anything about 3 yet, need to get the ROM booting first...
I will always trust CyanogenMod. I have also tried Carbon. I didn't like it. I decided to build CyanogenMod because it is the most popular ROM for most phones, and I feel that it is also the best. The last 3 phones that I have had (From my first "smartphone", the Galaxy I5500, to my last one before C3, the Galaxy I9500 (S4 Qualcomm)) CyanogenMod has always run the best on them. This is why I am building CM12.1, and not Carbon. Once I have actually managed to get CM up and running, I might re-evaluate the situation and build Carbon too. For now, CM is the main focus of my attention.

Hmm, thanks for the info then. Hopefully the rom will have a fix for the rear camera imaging as well, it's a huge turnoff for the C3. Maybe I'll compile a kernel with the recovery but that will be quite a long ways ahead. Anyhoo, one last question; does the CM12 for Xperia have a Stamina mode as well? I'm not familiar with the Xperia roms, and have been using a substitute Xposed app on other devices similar to Stamina.

No, CM12.1 DOES NOT have Stamina. Stamina Mode is an Xperia exclusive. However, I find that even when running stock ROM, I have no need for Stamina Mode. AOSP Lollipop, and, by extension, CM12, has a "Battery Saver" mode that kicks in at 15% battery, but that is about it. I'm sure that the Xposed Module that you're using would work, though.

Oreo Rom For Sony Xperia L

Since Android Oreo 8.0 will release in a few days
I just want to know that will the developers create a custom rom based on the new android 8
I have been using my Sony Xperia L for so many years & I have used from 4.2 to 7.1 All of it
and now I'm using the nougat rom its very stable and I like it very much
If custom Oreo is created please give me a reply .Thanks
Whoa, slow down there cowboy.
It's not even out yet - and it usually takes a couple of months for the most popular devices to start getting good ROM builds. The devs can't work that quickly; don't forget that these are not official OEM updates.
The OEMs get the source code earlier, and they have entire teams working on them. Error checking (and fixing) takes a lot less time when you have teams that big. That's why it seems like they release stable builds "right off the bat" - but in reality they've been working on them for a couple of months.
If the developers don't want to do it, they won't. If they want, they will. Don't nag them about this, and don't be ungrateful.

Sorry for being so quick
But I saw a video about Android 8 beta running on a pixel device. And I really liked it
That's the reason that I asked about the ROM

I thank all the developers for the amazing work they have done and I'm really grateful.
I'll wait.
