This is the Roadmap as it was announced in the Huawei's Chinese Forum. It's translated via Google Translate. I believe we will have the Lollipop taste soon. I hope in the end of March - early April. My estimation is that the Stable ROM of Lollipop will arrive after 2-4 weeks.

As already written in another thread, my estimation is that the honor 6 will never receive Lollipop. It's february 2015 and they are "still evaluating".
In the next months honor 6 will be put in low priority because they will sure have some newer device to promote and the upgrade to 5.0 is very expensive to do.... That's what I think...

unfortunatelly I agree

I don't think they will drop the support of Honor 6. I have seen everywhere that Huawei confirmed the lolipop update for the device. The only thing not been confirmed is the date. I have see Q1 (we nearly passed it) but I have also see June. I would be a bit disappointed if Huawei would stop supporting the phone after 6 months of the release date.
I am still positive..

I've never heard an official huawei response on this subject but only speculations on forum...
And even if huwaei had officially confirmed, sometimes vendors change their ideas.
For example I'm still wating ICS for my zte u960 that was officially confirmed by zte, but I don't it would arrive anytime soon

some thoughts about lollipop
imho, situation with honor 6 and lollipop is very unpredictable... Yes, Honor 6 was officially said to be a flagship. BUT, we can also see L21 model, with buffed cpu and cams, and we can see Honor 6 Plus, with new CPU, cams, bigger screen and battery. Kinda The Flagship of the flagships. So IMHO its hard to say if youngest honor 6 will receive lollipop at all.
One more thing, google released lollipop 5.1 for One line devices. lots of bug fixes etc... so which version should Honor release? bugged 5.0.x or more stable 5.1.x? if they started on creating 5.0.x branch for honor, they will need more time to switch to 5.1.x branch, and it will take us 2-3 month more of waiting... so lollipop could be published not earlier than end of spring.
and we should not forget about Honor being a standalone sub-brand now, with its own dev crue, so no one knows what's inside of their minds. but as I can see, 4.4.4 is not even yet implemented on any honor/huawei device...
So stay tuned. And don't believe in miracles that Chinese companies are thinking 'bout their customers. IMHO

hopefully we will get it, but still I don't think it will be soon. few month or even more. Besides updating source tree to 5.x they should also change emui to support all new features, and this will take time

Don't trust this kind of response especially from Huawei that is known as a company that don't have a clean upgrade path for its devices and it has already dropped support for a lot of devices.
I don't think that honor europe or honor india has a technical develpment team. All honor development is made in china and every other country just receive the chinese work.

Question regarding Honor 6x/Huawei Mate 9 lite

Hi everyone, I just received a Huawei Mate 9 lite as a gift which I'm aware it's a rebranded Honor 6x for (as far as I'm aware) Latin America. I understand that many 6x rooms work for it but have no idea how to get started since model numbers are different.
I have the 32gb/3gb ram model single sim and the model number is BL L23, I'm on marshmallow with EMUI 4.1.3 and I want to update to the official nougat release, I've seen official nougat rooms for this model but they have a different build number, does that matter?
It's a carrier-locked phone, but if it's possible to install a stock, non-carrier room on it like in other phones I have no issue with that...
TLDR version: I have a mate 9 lite and would like to upgrade to nougat, model BL L23 and build number C43B121, and no, carrier does not have update on OTA.

I found the huawei firmware finder on google play (translating the russian forum that appears on your sig) and there are quite alot of firmwares for my model, but does the build number matter? or does it only indicate the build number of the software andit shouldn't affect installtion? my build number is BLL-L23C43B121, I'm sure this is just a carrier specific version, but I want to make sure because this is the first time I own a non-flagship phone without a lot of support (like the Galaxy S2/S4, HTC One M7 and LG G3 which I've owned before).
Found a post on xda where it showed all the country codes...
The post shows that C605 is Colombia, and my phone was bought in Uruguay, I checked and Colombia uses same LTE bands, can I use a rom labeled LL-L23C605B364? or Do I have to unlock bootloader or something?

Nope you can not. Unless you flash the oeminfo file of L23C605 then only you can do this. We dont have the oeminfo file of that model yet. However if you just want to update the version, we can do via dload.
Great, how do I do that?
Update to nougat without having to change oeminfo?

Using dload. Let me check and give the links.
Yours is BLL-L23C43B121 OR BLL-L23C432B121?
There is a difference of 43 and 432.
Thanks for the quick reply, I have the update.zip from the c605 update, the big one (around 1.6gb), is that good? I didn't download the one that actually has the build number, the one specific for the c605..

You can't. Yours is different build than this. It will fail 100% or worst case could mess badly to brick, mostly it will fail in any case.

Oh alright, so it's hopeless now? Should I wait until there's a method to update this model? I read that certain stock and custom roms fromtje honor 6x work with the mate 9 lite since it's basically the same phone...but if that's true, I don't know whichmodel of the 6x would be equivalent to mine,or if it is safe to do that...

Bumping the thread. Have you found any solution for this? I keep searching everywhere but nothing, I can unlock it and seen that I can probably root it too, but I can't rebrand it because as you mentioned there are no oeminfo files for the BLL L23. I've seen in another forum people withthe standard unlocked Mate 9 lite just updated through OTA and everything went fine but I cannot do that due to mine being a carrier-locked version.
I have the C605 update in my phone, I haven't flashed it because I was told not to since it might brick my device. Now, when I do the firmware check on Firmware finder it says "approved", should I trust that even though my firmware says C43B (not C432) and B121 (software version...?).

One final question, I used to have a galaxy S4 years ago, I remember I could install any other region of a rom as long as it was the same HARDWARE model, I had an international/Americas model and I managed to install a russian stock rom whixh had other updates, it was the same hardware model but different region...

Poco F2 Pro bad firmware support?

Looks like no updates for Poco F2 Pro :/
For now April 2020 security patch level and we are already in July 2020, for a brand new phone. Even the old one get stable MIUI 12, like Mi9 or K20 Pro but nothing for Poco F2 Pro.
Xiaomi also say nothing about new 5G bands, like OnePlus or Samsung (will get more 5G bands with next updates).
Bugs like mobile signal or focus for camera... nothing.
It reminded me on the Mi Mix 2s or Mix 3 5G, selling bad = bad firmware support.
I can get a brand new F2 Pro for 399€, great price and I don't need 5G for now but if this starts already like this...
What was you last update?

It's not because of bad sales. Xiaomi is doing good with this device. They will release the update at the same time with mi 10/pro, like they did with Android 11 beta
they just released MIUI12 for CHina Rom
so it will take another weeks and you should get MIUI 12 for pocof2 in Global or EU version
i think the focus of the MIUI team is on MIUI12 and as soon as we have 12, I hope to get more updates
There has also been a delay (3 or 4 weeks now) due to waiting for some upstream Qualcomm changes (unknown what exactly) so no new builds were released for a few weeks, plus last week was a holiday in China which would have resulted in an extra week delay. Presumably if everything is now resolved with the Qualcomm there should be a beta 11 this week
Got miui 12 on mine, June security patch level. Dunno what you going on about no updates... Also these "bugs", there has never been a problem with mobile signal or focus on mine. Do you even own this phone?

June Patch Here as well. I don't know what's the problem. So stop trolling!
I do wonder though why the latest weeklies of MIUI12 are not available for the Poco f2 Pro / K30 pro. They seem to be compiled for most other devices, but not for Poco F2 Pro recently. https://www.xda-developers.com/down...ing-out-several-xiaomi-redmi-mi-poco-devices/

Xiaomi.eu roms are based in chinese stables and weeklys and they use oficial builds every week, soo oficial chinese stable will have June security patch and weeklys prob July patch, and no, it's not unstable I was using weekly builds for years on my old redmi note 5 pro and I never had a problem. And yes, you are a big TROLL getting rekt every time you write, also you are a noob, learn about roms and kernels before trolling.

Weekly build from today, 100% stable.
Wtf is wrong with you? You talk about a custom rom, you need to unlock the bootloader, flash a custom recovery and flash than xiaomi.eu rom
Weekly is testing rom, every week, not stable.

What part are you not understanding about xiaomi.eu roms are the SAME than oficial builds and released at same time?? MIUI 12 oficial will have same security patch (June) and weekly oficial also (July). So your low IQ trolling about 90 days without updates got rekt again, enjoy kid.
And no, weekly builds are not unstable, I used it for years.
MIUI 12 global stable, June security patch hahaha
It is based on official roms from China, but is still a custom rom. Thats why you need a modified rom with custom recovery to flash it.
So, with the F2 Pro you still don't get any update, 3 month later still MIUI 11 with April patch level. This is really bad.
I am also still on global ROM with April security patch. No OTA updates since I bought the phone. I think EU ROM received an update or two but not the global version. Hopefully Xiaomi will push OTA updates soon, as i have no interest in having any custom ROMs or unlocking the bootloader.
Hi. I have 256GB version and I am on MIUI Global 11.0.6 and April security patches.
What is the difference between Global & EU telephone ver ?
Like I sad, no official update for F2 Pro.

Can I downgrade N20 from Android 11 to 10?

I have a N20 Ultra locked with TMobile in the USA. The phone came stock with Android 10 and OneUI 2.5.
I desperately want to go back to A10 and UI 2.5. If I do a factory reset without restoring a backup from samsung/google will the phone revert itself? Or will it simply still be on Android 11?
I can't unlock the phone and am looking for a non-root answer.
previously on my Note 9 (locked with Verizon) I was able to successfully figure out a way to block all OTA updates after weeks of research but in this case the OTA update was done automatically.
thank you
the phone will still be ANDROID 11 even if you factory reset it. I just downgraded mine back to A10 using this link below.

Yay! Samsung takes a month or more to update the Good Lock series after a OS release.
Blame Google and their insane Apple idolization for the trashware that is 11. I don't have any love for Q but was hoping Google fix some of their fails with 11.
Maybe they've gone full blown MS nuts. MS has 3 boned OS releases in a row now. Last good OS was W7x64... but XPx64 was better.
Regardless no matter how good an OS is, I never update if I have a fast, stable OS that I like. If the new OS release is doing well in 6 months then maybe.
Google's motto; it ain't broke, let's fix it anyway.

Well, I DO really believe in updates (and also in UI customization! )so if there will be a full support for GoodLock, I'll upgrade to A11 (maybe in February).
Besides that you are fully right, I am still wondering why a simple operation like opening the file explorer takes many seconds on W10 and was like an instant thing on XP.... This drives me nuts in my daily work since my employers W10 central upgrade.

Google is making the same MS mistake; wow we have really fast hardware now let's milk some extra cpu cycles out of it... no one will notice.
XPx64 was MS's best, a full load took up 576 mb of ram. Oddly MS never tried to really sell it and went on to the abortion know as Vista (same load on a 32 bit system was over 200 mb larger, wtf?).
I'll probably be running W7x64 for a very long time... even it's interface isn't as usable as XPx64 though.
Silver lining; a lot of great corporate used Dell laptop's out their at cheap prices in great condition. Got a e6400 3 years ago for $130 added some ram, 2 hdds, and eventually had to replaced the batteries. Good looking/running 3 tb laptop for $450 total.

It's identified in the firmware number. Got to Settings - About Phone -Software Information and look at the Baseband version or Build number. To find out your bootloader version.
An example, this particular firmware version is bootloader 1 as noted by the (1) just before the build identifier. N986BXXU1ATH3
N=Note
986U or F etc, the model of device
SQ, FX etc = CPU and model specific
U,S,E = Update, Security, Engineering, respectively
1,2,3,4,5 etc = bootloader revision (This is important! You cannot go to a previous revision)
A,B,C,D = Android version
T, U = Year (T=2020, U=2021 etc)
A,B,C etc = month (January A - December L)
1 - 9 and then A - Z =build compilation. This basically means how many builds there are in a month. They start at 1 and go to Z

Help with update OTA (ELS-N04 c792)

Hello so back in December i decided to take the risk go to Huawei with the P40 pro as my new phone and i loved it ever since up until i notice that when i installed GMS i didn't had updates. So then i watched videos after videos trying different things in order to fix it but kept failing. And now since the recent situation about firmware finder i think I'm stuck. If possible can someone help me?

it currently has EMUI 10.1.0.134(C792E7R3P1) and i saw a video on youtube to install them but first i had to downgrade it in order to make it work.
Hey, I am in the exact same boat, even the build is the same (C792E3R3P3) well reallllly close. Anyway, I am unable to downgrade out of EMUI 11, I cant use HiSuite to do the revisions cause they pulled the firmware, and the play store stopped working so my apps don't work... so pretty much screwed. I'm considering rooting the phone now.

I did exactly as you described - and it DID work.
First under EMUI 11 you use HiSuite to return to EMUI 10. When you have established the link between your PC and your phone you use the third option in HISuite - Update system - and when HISuite informs you that you are using the latest version already you will find below the option to use another version. In my case HISuite offered the latest version of EMUI 10 - 10.1.0.176 - and presto: you are in EMUI 10 after all. Now you downgrade to your verson 10.1.0.134 - or lower - and then you can user the googlefier.apk.
It worked in my case and now I'm using 11.0.0.176 as before trying to install GMS
Hope this helps...

I did exactly that, or tried I should say. I get to that point where it says "I am using the latest version" and does not offer another version. And now, my phone wont take incoming calls, never again... gonna jump off the Huawei train.

Hey Smokey, want to thank you for forwarding me to IProffesors firmware finder. I tried it 3 times and actually had it upgrade but failed on installation. UK CPW Find X2 PRO STUCK ON COLOROS 7.1 MAY 2020 PATCH

Hi All
I have just purchased a Find X2 Pro unlocked from a store as a used return, it has come unlocked from no carrier but says CPW (which i assume stands for carphone warehouse?
This isn't the main issue for me but what is is the fact the phone refuses to update at all
I have tried various VPN's on different regions and still no luck, OPPO's UK website doesn't even think the find x2 pro exists on their support page so i can't manually download firmware to flash it, the recovery updater also has no luck. I've also tried doing the region swap tool i saw on another thread but had no luck setting it up as my ethernet adapter doesn't have a "network address tab"
At the end of the day, i cannot find a single way to update this phone, has anyone else faced this issue or know another potential way to fix it? If not then the phone is being returned ASAP since this isn't acceptable from OPPO
Thanks for any potential help
EDIT: I have managed to get into the engineer mode to change the software region, even after changing it to EUEX i cannot get any updates with various VPN's

The build they sent me was a March 2020 Android 11 build which has now allowed me to update and now running C75 however i did change the branch to EUEX as stated in my post so no longer running the CPW build. Didn't even require a VPN (in UK)
File on MEGA

Thanks, unfortunately I'm stuck on C.70 from August. So I don't think I could install your file on my phone.
How did you contact Oppo to obtain this file ? I contacted the support on global site to request an update, but they said to wait for OTA to come.

I contacted the UK site (since im in UK) via live chat, they asked for the software build and IMEI and told me they would send me a link via email within a few days (came next day)
Thanks for this. I contacted Oppo about my X2 Pro, the link they sent me kept saying installation failed. Your download worked straight away and am now on the January security patch. I have not changed region or anything else. Thanks again for posting download.
Hi @TheDXDan, I have exactly the same problem, bought a Find X2 Pro with the same CPW_11_A_26 version you were showing in the photo above.
Would you please be able to share again the firmware you used? I tried the link you provided above on 'mega.nz' but the file is no longer available there.
I also spoke to Oppo support, they pointed me to a download called "CPH2023EU_11_OTA_17501380_all_MWTyBnliH0nz.ozip" but that did not work, a couple of seconds after I start the update it says 'Installation Failed'
I wonder if changing the software region to EUEX, as you did, is essential for this firmware update to work? @Jonah72 , did you have to change to EUEX?
Many thanks for any help with this.

This link worked for me, thank you @Jonah72!!! And I did not have to change software region for it to update.
With this firmware file it updated from the old Android10/Coloros7.1/rev 26 that the phone came with, to Android 11 rev. 65 [at least I think it was 65]. After that the phone was able to do further OTA updates, it found/installed several updates quite quickly, I think about three of those got it all the way to Android 12 with a security patch from May 2022, which it now says [quite plausibly] is latest. Previously the silly thing was saying that the Android 10/Coloros 7.1 it had from 2020 was 'latest'.
So I am very happy with this. I have to say, I don't notice a massive difference in use between the old Android10/7.1 and this latest Android12, but there are some slight improvements (for example, with the old firmware screen rotation was unreliable on this phone, it seems better/fixed now). The camera app has some improved configurability. There probably are some more subtle new features in Android 12 vs Android 10, that I just didn't notice with my rather basic use of the phone.
Anyways - thanks again. Without your help I was probably going to remain stuck on the old firmware for eternity, since Oppo UK support have been totally useless in solving this, despite my wasting a lot of time chasing them.

How you got updated to 12 , and after how much time after downloading thia firmware you got the update?
For mine after suffering 2 week i found your comment and i update using this firmware but i found some problem with camera software and i need to update to color os 12.
And which is your country so i can use vpn to receive ota update
Hi @Coagulation
After flashing the update to Android10/Coloros7.1/rev 26 I got the OTA updates to Android 12 within the next hour.
I am in the UK.
I guess what OTA updates are available at any time depends on OPPO and maybe also on your mobile phone operator.
