So recently I've been pushing Home.apk. I pushed the app and restarted phone but realized I forgot to change the permissions! Now my phone is stuck in bootloop. I got a backup and CWM but it can't mount my sdcard. Please help in any ways

Well, first off, I screwed up big-time.
I accidentally my whole /system/app folder, so I decided to flash a new ROM.
I already had Clockwork, so I flashed the MonsterDroid 1.1i ROM, but when I rebooted, I was greeted by a bootloop at the Motorola logo.
I managed to install the .zip here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1255198) to the SD card through a reader, but when I attempted to install it through recovery mode (Clockwork mysteriously disappeared), the installation hung after displaying "--installing /sdcard" for a few seconds. All text disappeared from the screen and it started blinking off and on. RSD is unable to detect the phone; please help!
Bump for help, pl0x.
My samsung GT S6102(galaxy y duos) is rooted and while modifying build.prop , my phone ended up getting into a boot loop. I have a backup of the original build.prop file but am unable to restore it. I am able to enter into recovery mode. Will i be able to install a custom ROM on my phone even though it is getting boot loops? or is there any way to fix the boot loops?

Yes you should be able to install a custom Rom if you have CWM installed and i think you could try to push your Build.prop Backup to your phone using ADB but i dont exactly know how to do that
@OP, if it's rooted then definitely. My HTC Explorer once stuck into boot loop too, I flashed with JaggyRom and it gave me a great experience.
For me, I had to take out the battery and reinsert and then was able to boot into recovery, and from there I flashed it with the custom ROM.
Thank you all
Thank you all who replied, i tried ADB but it was unable to recognize my phone. I am a complete newbie to android but i somehow modified an update.zip file to copy put the build.prop file back to system folder, flashed it in recovery mode and my phone started working again! I am going to be more careful next time, by the way how do i backup and restore using CWM?

Google is your friend.
Possiblw Solution
A possible solution is to flash back to your original Stock and try rooting again. the stock should get you out of boot loops
I had Cleanrom on my phone, aparently it didn't block the OTA update download.. I got a message saying"when would you like to install the update. I told it tomorrow, and promptly wiped the phone and installed Moar. Moar installs fine, runs nice until i reboot. Upon reboot it goes into a boot loop.
I tried formatting/wiping everything it gives you the option to I think in recovery, and reinstalled. still bootlooped after first usage. I'm not a complete nub, but I am feeling like one atm. some help please
since your in a bootloop..try factory reset and install a backup file that was working fine if that works . do another factory reset format data clean install the rom and gapps the 1st boot takes a while ...it could be a bad flash or bad file ..redownload it and re flash it ..once u get into your fone do the following to stop the OTA if u did not take it
this how u disable /freeze the OTA 4.3 update
Rename or freeze the apps with Titanium backup:
otacerts.zip located in /etc/security - rename to otacerts.zip.bak
Rename fwupdate.odex, fwupdate.apk located in /system/app
and freeze SDM1.0 located in /system/app
Thanks, it is in work. When I try and factory reset or format system, it looks like it is starting to do it and then it reboot in recovery... wtf
I tried installing the rom over top of it anyway, it bootlooped out the gate. I got it back into recovery and was able to format/wipe everything without weird reboots. its booting up now, I'll do the download and freeze act and give another update to let you know how things turn out.
Ok if you do get back in .. try updating your recovery .
It worked and is working like a champ, thanks so much
Welcome
Hi. Just got a Note2 which was running 4.4.2
I downloaded Odin3-v3.07 and got root access. I then used a checker to confirm.
From there, I used the TWRP Manager to install 2.8.7.0.
I think this is where things went wrong. I know I selected the correct phone model, but it gave me an error saying something went wrong ( I think it said something about me having the latest TWRP) . Then my phone rebooted and took me into TWRP.
I made a backup and tried to flash the CM12 rom for sgh-i317m.
That's when I noticed I couldn't get out of TWRP. Rebooting or pulling the battery has no effect. Phone keeps booting into TWRP. I tried wiping delvic cache, cache and other things, but no matter what I do I can't boot into the OS. I tried restoring and it says it was successful, but again am stuck in TWRP. I've now spent the last hour searching for a way to get out and still can't find a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Notes:
Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I had forgotten to enable USB debugging when I was in my OS.
Another thing I noticed is when I open the terminal command, there's a running boot script error: E:/sbin/runatboot.sh process ended with ERROR=1
Problem resolved: I booted into download mode and used Odin to root again. That seem to overwrite whatever was causing the Note 2 to be stuck booting into TWRP.
I enabled USB debugging and installed TWRP again. Got the same error but this time chose not to reboot into recovery. Then I rebooted manually, and the phone boots into the OS. I powered down and held Vol up + power + menu and released power button at Samsung logo, and was successful in booting into TWRP. Exited and rebooted took me back to the OS. So I'm not quite sure what it was the first time around that got me stuck into booting TWRP everytime.
Glad you got it fixed! :good:
I'll close this thread.
Hi All
I m using nexus 5(Marshmallow v6.1). Well, i was trying to change my boot animation, I downloaded and installed a corrupted one. So, when i rebooted, the phone shows ANDROID like always, but after, a black screen appears and stays forever. I can access recovery, and the phone is rooted. No backup. I deleted the corrupted bootanimation.zip file under System\Media folder and rename it's original name (bootanimation.zip) through recovery mode TWRP. But stuck again in same place in boot animation after reboot and can't go inside. Could you please tell me anyone how to fix it because i don't want to reset or wipe the data it or install another ROM, unless necessary.
Thanks
