Hello everyone! So I did something a little bit foolish. I flashed a ROM to my G3 without making a backup of my stock one. I love the ROM I'm using now (CM12), but in the future I see myself reverting to the original stock version of the G3. Does anyone have a stock LG G3 D850 ROM I could flash to my device? Or am I royally screwed? Thanks for the help!
Go to the general section and you will see a sticky thread that gives instruction to go back to stock.

I have a slight problem when I do that. I have the proper drivers installed and whatnot and I've done this before, but whenever I go to my Device Manager to change my port number, it says my drivers are not installed so I can't do that. Do you have any idea of what I can do?

I have flashed the rom onto my phone, everything works fine, except I do not have service. Any way I can fix this?
Easy. Flash the gingerbread baseband. can be found in android development section. after that. it works.(had the same problem).
I tried to hold the volume up button, and insert the usb connector, but the OMAP did not install..
You should first install 21A kdz file to your phone. After that root your device flash CWM and flash kingrom. Then your problem is solved

hi all! i had the same problem, but i dont know how can i reach the android development section to flash the baseband...
So... coud you help me to find this?
(now i dont use this rom, but if it will works great, i want!)
You should start by changing the tittle of your thread, sounds like kings ROM is causing the issue, what is not true.

Not really sure what happened..
My phone wouldn't reboot properly.. kept getting "Force Close" for any number of processes on my screen. So I decided to go into CWM to recover a previous backup. It seemed to go well. But when it rebooted, it now stays on the Samsung Screen and nothing else happens. I've tried to get back into CWM by holding down Volume and Power buttons.. but again .. nothing happens.. Just keeps going to the Samsung Screen and freezing there..
I have NO IDEA what to do now.
Any and all help is so greatly appreciated!!
Thank you in advance.
Can you get into download mode? Hold the volume up and down button then while the phone is plugged in the USB. From there, do a one-click back to stock.

See the purple link in my sig flash the one click in it and you will be rooted however only use it as a stepping stone to one of the GB stock based roms or ICS flavors. And yes you have to reinstall your apps.

My question is.. after I do this one click.. can I then install [ROM] Valhalla Final [KJ6 Based].. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1402966

Hi,
Same thing happened to me, just flash SuperSU in recovery: http://download.chainfire.eu/382/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.93.zip, it should do the trick.

Amazing! worked perfectly thanks for quick reply !! woot!
just so you know as well... root is independent of ROMs. you can have custom ROMs without root.
And also its not rooting that wipes a device, its unlocking the bootloader

find a rooted stock rom in the android development section and flash it(bigxie makes a good stock/root rom). or you can just flash the factory img from google via fastboot.
Theres another stock ROM linked in the resources section of the sticky thread in my signature

Try Xposed Framwork
Hi, to modify only icons you can install another launcher (nova, google launcher...).
If you want to modify also some parts of rom (icons, status bar, dialer, sms interface etc.) you have many possibility: costum rom (cyano or other), xposed framework, modifications via recovery etc. For all of them (except the first) you need root and a costum recovery.
I try to install twrp recovery and my phone always bricks and i end up spending a whole night rebooting flashing the stock usb drivers and **** cause the phone just doesnt even stay on a screen just goes black. Ive wanted the cynageon mod but i heard its not compatible with the D803(canada version) so it leaves me using like G2 exposed app which needs xposed framework but even then it doesnt wanna install the framework. Have you heard of this issue ?

Just have the trait of when i really want something i crave and thrive to work until i can get it. So i been searching everywhere for answers. You think xposed is the way to go ?

Probably you bricked the device because the TWRP was not compatible with your model (i.e. it was for international version or other).
Recovery, kernel etc. are .img files that are specific for your phone model, if you overwrite one of them with a different/non correct version during flash you brick your phone. For LG, if you can enter in download mode, you can easily restore everything using LG Flash tool 2014 (you need also LG drivers for windows).
To obtain TWRP recovery you can see here (for 4.4.2):
droidviews.com/install-twrp-recovery-on-lg-g2-running-android-4-4-2-kitkat/
you have to download the correct version for your model...
Ive tried to install from the link but it honestly keeps saying "loki cant find something, cant let you flash" do you know how to resolve this issue? Any help would be helpful pls and thanks
