I would like the LED-Flash to blink only once when I receive an e-mail, message, etc. and the notification-LED blink until I read the message. Is that possible?
There's probably an Xposed module for that.

I am interested in some way to get a auditory alert every few minutes if there is a unheard text message. (I have a verizon touch pro2). I know there is a light, but that requires looking at the phone. I can not find anything on the phone for a post text alert, is there an app?

Ive tried searching and I dont think Ive seen this issue in these forums, sorry if its been asked, but for like the past two weeks anytime I receive text messages my led doesnt blink anymore regardless of what rom I use. Its not hardware because it blinks whenever I have an email or a voicemail...Im sure maybe theres a setting for it somewhere that I just cant find.
Im running the stock sms app, I dont wanna have to use another market app to do led notifications if I dont have to. I do have privacy mode enabled but Im not sure if that would prevent the led from coming on? Anyone have this problem or suggestions? thanks!
Try going to settings>display> notification led and see if SMS is checked. If it I'd and is not working, you probably need a led app from the market.
I have posted here but recieved no answer. I figured my question belongs here anyway, so I won't bump the other thread.
I am trying to use Hangouts as my default SMS app (It is also currently the only SMS app installed on my device) because I do like it. However I noticed that sometimes I don't get any notification when I recieve a text message, no vibration, nor sound nor notification in the status bar. As a result, I miss quite a lot of texts. Notice that I do recieve those texts, if I check the app they are there, text bold to indicate they are not yet read. I just don't get the notification. Also, most of the time I do get the notifications without a problem. So to be clear, this is about some SMS's, not about all.
As far as I know this happens when I recieve the message very shortly after I put down my phone (my routine: send text, press 'backbutton' once to get in the hangouts overview, and then I press power to shut of the screen and put the phone down.) If I get a message let's say within half a minute of me turning of the screen I won't have a clue I recieved the message until I go look in hangouts to check. This happens often when someone is quick to respond to my own message, but could maybe be happening with other messages I recieve in that time. I don't think this happens to messages I recieve when the screen has been off for a time, but I can't say that with certainty.
I have a HTC One S currently running CM11, but I had this problem on stock ROM too. However never with the HTC stock messaging app.
I have found similar problems here on the forums, but no satifying answers. I hope someone has a solution?

I have a question about the clearing of notifications. I have the international version. I have noticed that when I get a notification, say a text message, or an email, when I click on it, it takes me to the application. I look at the message or email and go about my business.
The notification still shows in the shade as if I haven't looked at the message. I have to swipe it clear. I don't have this problem on my other phones. It's kind of a niggle with me right now. I enjoy everything else with phone. Anyone else having this issue? It happens with stock messaging, google messaging, sometimes with inbox, nine mail, mailwise mail, stock email app...
It sures is a bug, I don' have that.

no. If others aren't experiencing this, perhaps I should reset, and re-road my apps. Wonder if it has to do with LED-Blinker pro....it's an app I have installed that controls the LED notifications similar to light flow...that'll be the first app I remove...
and the culprit was LED-Blinker Pro...removed and issue is gone...
OK. I've had this problem on every Android phone I've ever used. Someone sends me a test message. I get a notification. I reply. They reply, BUT I GET NO NOTIFICATION!. Everything is quiet, nothing, nada, no indication that anyone has replied. I have every notification toggle I can see set to the ON position, but still nothing. Am I missing something here? Sometimes I get a text message, and there is NO notification at all. Like I said this happens with every Android device I have ever owned. Can someone clue me in?
open the application message, tap on the points at the top right, go to settings and enable all notifications.
