can any one give a link to a stock rom for the galaxy s 4g with no root
are you asking for stock Froyo (like from the factory) or is a stock leaked (not yet official) Gingerbread ROM?
I think I just read that Samsung is releasing Gingerbread for our phone today vie Kies Mini.

Android 4.1 update to GT-P3100 in Spain?
I have a Galaxy Tab 2 7" GSM+WiFi GT-P3100 in Spain, running stock Android 4.0.3 plus CF-Auto-Root.
I understand that Android 4.1 has been available for sometime across Europe .. but the Software Update button in Settings says that no update is available for my device, nor does Kies find any update.
What's the path to get Android 4.1 on a Galaxy Tab 2 7" GSM+WiFi GT-P3100 in Spain?
And, is there anything special to do/ avoid/ know about applying the 4.1 update to a CF-Auto-Root'ed device?
Thanks,
-Jay

Your country???
And to update you can use kies(if not rooted)
Else if rooted my suggestion would be go to samfirmware download latest version for your location and flash via odin.
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-P3100 4.1.2 but no XSE

Dont forget to hit the thanx button!
Dude, wait for it to be available in the philippines.
I already tried JB but a bit buggy that why i reverted back to ICS.
And so far my choice is right.
Also not all apps works on JB yet.
Be patient or try some JB custom rom.
Thats what xda for, to give us what those gadget companies denies.

Same thing here in Portugal: P3100 8GiB Wifi only and no JB update... Tried Kies and still got the message that no new Firmware available...
I always use English UK on my device, identify myself as UK in Google account, used a Proxy for UK ip and still no go...
Does anyone knows if Samsung is not giving JB to the 8GiB WiFi version of P3100??? (if that's so i'm gonna root and flash)...
Lets just hope they release that much awaited JB but i think its gonna take a while since their still releasing gadget in ICS mode, IMO they are more focused on the Note family.

[Q] Firmware update in kies

My mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 got an update via kies yesterday firmware version PDA:LQ2 /PHONE:LPC / CSC:LPD (INU). I updated it but there is no change what so ever and ANDROID Version is still 4.0.4. So is there any problem with my phone or the update didn't work? In kies it is showing that i have latest firmware. Please help.
Probably it was a radio fix, not a full out update.

[Q] Is it safe updating a rootd device via Samsung Kies?

I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy S2 X from koodo and I was wondering if I can just straight up update my phone the way it is now through Samsung Kies when the JellyBean update arrives for my device in April? I have no custom roms NOR have I flashed anything on this device as far as I am concerned. The only thing I've done after rooting my phone is download root required apps on Google Play and APK files off the internet. I know for a fact that my root would disappear and I'm not concerned with that, since I don't want my phone to be rooted anymore anyways. So i figured I can hit two birds with one stone if I was able to update my phone and get rid of my root in the process. What's stopping me is that I have read that updating through kies while rooted can brick your phone. Or does that only happen if you have custom roms installed?
Don't you already have a thread about this?
