[Q][HELP] How to remove app background ?

Hello everyone! :laugh:
I recently flashed Razodroid v4 on my Galaxy Fit and I was wondering whether there is any way to remove the application background image which is set by default. I'm not a fan of transparent background or a background image for each application , so I would like to know how to remove it.
If possible please give a detailed process as I'm still a learner.

I don't see any patch available on that thread.

It'll make bg like...dark greyish black. But if still u want, I'll upload it for u

I downloaded it from the same official thread but a long time ago(≈1½yr ago). I like to keep things with me & especially if its regarding my FIT
Btw I'm still far from learning it technically(compiling/decompiling stuff)

I think you may use Link2Sd to uninstall system app that work on background.
I used that rom too. :angel:

It's not the system app that I'm talking about.. I'm takling about the background image...

Hi ,
I have a korean version of the Note Edge and I'm not very happy with the dialer , it displays korean characters .
So, anyone with a rooted non-korean version (USA), please share secContacts.apk .(root/system/priv-app/SecContacts_note_USA?.apk)
I am also interested in yahoo&twitter edge panels

Here you go mate.
For secContacts.apk if your device isn't rooted, it will switch back to the default dialer if you reset your phone.
Also attached is the CatchFavourite.apk which will install the yahoo finance, news, sports and twitter panels.
In case you didn't know, the Korean panels will remain as well and you can't uninstall any of them unless you disable the 'portalservicewidget' in order to hide the Daum panels.

Since I've changed the secContacts.apk , I no longer have access to Contacts settings - " Unfortunately , Contacts has stopped." I've tried changing the permissions , clearing the cache but didn't help.( I think it has something to do with the KOR ODEX file mis-match )
Other than that , nothing obvious , I'm a happy guy !
I will let you know if anything wrong happens !

Sorry to hear this.
I have lost count of the number of top of the range phones I've owned over the years but I haven't been this excited since Sony Ericsson P800. Absolutely love my Edge to bits!

@invisiblesense Funny thing , I'm getting tweets in korean on my edge panel. It worked just fine in the beginning.
Any ideas ?
PS: Problem solved by clearing data/cache for weather and catchfavorites. The TW weather widget has a tab "broadcast" that is in korean and I think that was the culprit.

Just a heads up, the zip you posted here is the note 4 stock bootanimation. When flashed, we lose the "galaxy note edge" written along the edge screen. Also, the bootmini.qmg files activate as if there were an s view window when using flip wallet cover.
Can someone with an international note edge provide the files please?

Excellent! I had stopped using the twitter panel because that very issue. I was thinking it was due to the phone having been of Korean origin. :good:

During the stock boot animation, there is an additional animation along the edge screen. NOT the lockscreen. Flashing that zip makes the animation only happen on the main screen, instead of main screen+ edge panel.

I know there is a xposed module available for this. But my mod is for the peoples that they don't using xposed.. Pls note. This mod needs a fully deodexed rom. Always make a backup before trying any mod. Do not blame me if anything goes wrong...

Thanks bro, actually I tried with this .apk on OP, it installs fine but gives FC as expected. I think I just need to wait for Official Lollipop for Z1 since the .apk does not even exist in CM12 or AOSP Lollipop ROMs. Thanks anyway! :good:
