[Completed] [Q] Automatically connected to home WiFi but no Internet (nothing works!) - XDA Assist

Hi all, as noted in subject, occasionally I am connected to WiFi but I get no active connection (nothing comes in or goes out). The only way I remedy this is disabling/enabling WiFi and as this is a small annoyance, any reason this happens? I have an RT-66U router as well, if it matters.
Using a Rogers Samsung Galaxy Note 4, stock ROM, no modifications done to the device.
Thanks and happy holidays.

[Completed] [Q] Wifi only connects to a very very strong signal

Hi,
I hope you can give me some advice on this strange problem.
I have a Asus MeMO Pad 8 (2014) (8 inch), ME181C tablet running KitKat 4.4.2
This tablet will only connect to a wifi router if the tablet is actually physically touching the router. When connected like this I have internet connectivity but if I move more that 48 inches from the router then I lose internet connectivity but the wifi remains connected, but is prone to disconnecting. Once disconnected it will not reconnect unless I touch the router with the tablet. I have access to 4 different routers and the situation is the same with all of then except that with one I can move 48 inches away but other a matter of 12 inches is enough to lose connectivity and ultimately the wifi connection drops.
The tablet can see all the surrounding networks and the signal strengths.
The wifi was working normally when I first got it a few months ago and the problem started after I did an over the air update. I have performed a factory reset twice to no effect. I rooted the tablet so that I could modify the system files and have followed many guides but to no avail. I had hoped that there was a setting somewhere that controlled how weak a wifi signal could be before it was ignored by the system as it seemed that the "avoided poor wifi AP" feature might be responsible but was not able to find anything..
Needless the say the wifi is almost useless and currently use Bluetooth access points, (ecodriod on a Raspberry Pi), to connect to the internet.
Grateful for any help advice on the issue, Thanks

[Completed] [Q] WiFi bridge on s4

Hi, everyone.
I am new here, I wanted to know if there is an application (rooted or not) that can put (when the“tethering router and wi-fi" tab is switched on) our beautiful android device in bridge mode with another router. I better explain.
I just recently bought a gopro 3 which can be controlled remotely by the telephone through wi-fi.
The camera is a router and we have to connect to his network.
I was thinking to use it while riding my bike, but at the same time i want to be connected to the Internet with the 3g network to use the gps (maps).
As you know, the 3g is disabled when the wi-fi network is turned on; so I thought i would use the tether/router wifi option, but obviously there is no bridge option.
how can I do?
Thanks in advance!!
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I'm pretty sure you can't Syu that. But try asking your question here,http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help

[Completed] [Q] Wifi messed up: issue with my router, phone, or is this an Android issue?

I have an Asus ZenFone 2 that I have recently reflashed to stock, thinking it would fix the issue (which it has not).
The wifi on my home network shows that it's connected, and I have it set up so that wifi is working while the phone is sleeping, but sometimes it just stops. I get errors watching YouTube, apps that require internet connection stop responding, etc.
My router (Linksys E1550) has a basic setup, nothing out of the ordinary there. I never had this issue with my old phone (Galaxy Nexus) and the same router.
Any suggestions? I don't really have any other wifi network to test it against, unfortunately.

[Completed] [Help] How do i keep connected to a wifi connection that doesn't have internet

So i'm trying to play terraria android with my brother, i saw that in order to play terraria with him we need to be in the same internet connection as him but in my house we don't have wifi so i searched more in the internet and saw that i needed to make a wifi hotspot to play so i made a hotspot on the tablet of my brother and i started to connect to it after it connected a message appeared saying internet connection unavailable and it disconnected every time we tried it disconnected... is there a way to disable this feature?
I'm using a LG Volt 2 with android 5.1.1
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA assist.
I would start by checking the wifi hotspot settings and seeing if there is any strange settings that shouldn't be on. Perhaps changing the level of encryption may help with some devices. Make sure that the hotspot is not hidden and is available at all time. Other than that, I couldn't find a thread that could have helped you out with this problem. Instead, I would recommend posting in the Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum as there is no dedicated forum for your device.
Good Luck! - gsstudios
