I need to see if I can reflash a different version of CWM recovery on my device. The problem is I can only get into recovery, not the regular OS, so I am limited to limited ADB access via CWM's adb . How can I do this?
The only thing that boots is recovery, and thats it. For some reason, logcat doesn't seem to work in recovery, so I can't delve into what the issue is.
I've tried flash_image to no success. It keeps giving me -1 error, no matter what I do. fastboot doesn't work because it needs the OS running. Doesn't work in recovery.

Dear XDA community,
I installed Clockwork recovery and the USB drivers. The device is unlocked and when in fastboot mode it is correctly identified by my PC as falcon XT1302 with an USB connection. When in recovery mode, the device appears as "Android" in the devices menu in Windows 7 and there is a yellow "!" next to it. Unfortunately after formatting system and deleting the cache as per instructions the device won't boot up. I'm stuck at the bootloader unlock warning screen. I can access fastboot mode and recovery mode but that's it.
I want to place the cyanogenmod zip inside the internal SD card of the Moto G but adb doesn't work. I get the device not found error when inputting a command. adb devices returns a blank. I don't know which drivers to install or what to do. I've tried various fixes on forums but none work. Maybe USB debugging is the problem although I distinctly remember switching it on. In any case, I can't boot so I can't change the settings.
All I want is a way to place the cyano .zip in the phone /sdcard so that I can install it. I'm all out of ideas. USB mounting doesn't seem to work. Neither does sideloader (or maybe I messed it up?) I am at wit's end.
I didn't have anything important on my phone so I did not make a backup. In hindsight, this was a stupid mistake. I've certainly learned a lot during the install attempt.
If possible please give step by step instructions. I am not a very technical person. Any help would be greatly appreciated. pls halp
kind regards

Thanks to the users who replied. I've managed to solve the problem.
Would have been faster though to get your device recognized while in recovery. You can install the driver manually and it should work. Just search for seperate driver files and ignore the Windows message that it is probably 'not compatible etc.'.
Then your device is connected properly and you can get ADB sideload to work from your recovery.

I went to install a custom rom for my lg realm, and i couldnt find any so i found a "unofficial" recovery for twrp and it worked, but then i wanted to factory reset my phone so i could make a backup, and when i wiped it, it worked the files did reset, but twrp wouldnt reconize it as a os or rooted, and when i clicked install supersu it didnt, it froze in a bootloop, so i tryed a diffrent recovery than twrp, something that starts with K and that totaly broke, now i cant boot into my OS and my recovery doesnt load, when i load recovery it restarts to bootloop, and cause i cant get into recovery i cant use adb or fastboot, i dont know what to do.
i just want my phone to work
Help?
Does anyone know how to 1. install a rom for recovery or boot/system/data without using recovery, fastboot, or adb? and where to get a rom for an lg realm (ls 620), i have the recovery image for recovery but i dont know how to flash it
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist.
There's no XDA Forum for your device, so I suggest you ask the same question in the Android Q&A Forum HERE.

Sorry for off topic but what recovery is everyone using? I just made a switch from CWM to TWRP since development for CWM is dead but I can't get TWRP to sideload. It recognizes device until I go to Advance > ADB sideload, then it PC stops recognizing device. I've tried many different drivers, I just can't get it to work. Help, anyone using TWRP.
I use Philz cwm recovery .
How were you able to flash custom recovery? I am trying to do the same on a SCH-i925 version for Verizon but have not been able to tell if anyone was ever able to find a way in on the FW ending in MK1. Just wondering if that is what you were using. Thank you.
Hi all, I am a novice and would appreciate some help.
In the processes of flashing a rom I erased the whole tablet using the Wipe option in TWRP. I then flashed a rom using adb sideload successfully however there were some errors message regarding unable to access certain folders. From memory /data was one of them and there were others. I then reboot to recovery again, tablet restarted, showed TWRP and screen looped on and off showing TWRP logo, like it was trying to load TWRP. Seems like i need to create these folders again. I have pulled the recovery log via adb however I do not know how to upload it to the post.
You are going to hacve to give us a lot more than thsis to be able to help...
Booloader and recoevry versions, which rom you tried to flash to start with.
How did you flash TWRP?
Why no fastboot? What's happening if you try to boot into fastboot?
You may want to head to the general section and read the frist sticky: The Beginners Guide. Lots of stuff in there that may help you
