E3 Carrier Unlock - Sony Xperia E3

Is there a thread on the forums detailing the process of unlocking the Xperia E3 so it will be usable on any network? Currently it is locked to one network.
I was unable to locate it.
Thanks in advance.

Is that not possible yet perhaps?

[Q] Does Xperia Z1 have unlockable bootloader?

I've been looking if Z1 has bootloader locked or not but searches are turning up blank, so I thought I would ask here.
Other question is will unlocked (carrier) Z1 support T-Mobile USA LTE? Going through http://www.gsmarc.com/sony/xperia-z1/reviews/ and http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-5627 seems that Z1 won't have any problem supporting any LTE currently available, even then I want to confirm before I place pre-order for unlocked device
Thanks
Bump.
Does nobody know or is it too obvious and I still missed it? Or the information is not yet available?

Hi all,
I have an Xperia E (c5105) locked to o2 in the UK. Is there any way to unlock this to any network without having to pay for a code online?
Bootloader is locked btw. Tried searching for relevent info but couldn't find anything. Apologies if I've missed something.
Much appreciated.

[Q] Sim Unlock Xperia Z3 D6616

I recently purchased a T-mobile Xperia Z3 D6616 with the hopes of using it internationally but it seems it can't be unlocked traditionally by entering unlock code. When inserting a non t-mobile sim there is no prompt to enter unlock code. Since i am not a T-mobile customer i can not utilize the "Device Unlock" app that comes pre-installed on the ohone. So my question is... Is there any other method of sim unlocked the T-mobile branded Xperia Z3 D6616?
Try flashing a generic ftf and see if it asks you for a unlock code
Thanks for your response. I actually tried to flash the generic d6603 ftf but to no avail. Just got back a lot of errors in flashtool. Do you know if the have a generic ftf for the d6616?

As far as I know no, espescially since bootloader in also not unlockable yet, only way is to be on contract with the phone on T-Mobile for at least 45 days. Also you are better off getting other versions of the Z3 as they support a lot more LTE bands.
Thanks for your response. I guess i'll try contacting T-mobile customer service to see if they can offer any advice.
Thanks again.
Are you a T-Mobile customer in the US going on trips or did you just buy it to use it in your home country?
Purchased it for use in the West Indies but looks like I won't be able to use it after all.
Better return it and get the international version. Even in US D6603 is the unlocked version.
The D6616 has only 3 LTE bands and may not be compatible in your area, for LTE service. Only advantage of the D6616 is that it has 32GB vs 16GB for other versions.
Would it be possible to create a flashable generic ftf for the z3 d6616 by editing some of the files of the generic d6603 ftf?
No
Ok, thanks for your response.
helpme please

Unfortunately the only to sim unlock the Xperia Z3 D6616 seems to be through T-mobile.

Its an over the network unlock. No TMO no unlock. Only way around will be if you root which we can't as of now.
Only way
The only way I managed to unlock it was using the unlock app and meet the requirements from t-mobile to work (like been a t-mobile customer).
when you guys with the unlocked D6616 go to the service menu does it say Bootloader unlock allowed: yes or does it say Bootloader unlock allowed: no. i used the app to unlock and it says no

Hi Guys, While Trying to unlock my D6616 I have Found the File com.android.setting.IccLockSettings, Which not Edit able Currently i have Attached the Screenshots to Show what i am seeing and Doing. My Xperia Z3 D6616 is not Rooted and Bootloader is unlocked too. and i have deleted all T-Mobile Applications and using the Shortcut master I found this File. Please Push me thanks if it helps
hi
i have a d6616 tmobile version and bought the unlock code, non able to input the code, and not able to unlock with the stock app, dual recovery installed and rooted already, is there a way to put the simunlockapp.apk in the system and then using titanium backup pro, to make it internal so after rebooting, simunlock code prompting?
or to flash a rom that prompts the code
or is there any metropcs z3 rom that surely can be flashed even with locked bootloader to tmobile version?
any help
than you very much indeed
On some phones like the Sprint LG G2 there was a work around using root and the HTC M8 using root+SuperCID, but is most cases root won't help with the SIM Lock.
Only thing you can do is, give it to a TMO user for 40 days and then T-Mobile will unlock it, over the air after you call them.

[Q] Xperia Z3 401SO (Softbank) sim unlock

Hi,
Has anyone managed to unlock an Xperia Z3 401SO sim locked on the Japanese carrier Softbank?
I found a site in Japanese where the guy says that he managed to unlock his phone. Since my Japanese is not good, I contacted the guy in English but have not received any answer yet.
I bought a sim unlock code for the Unlocking Company but the 2 codes they provided me did not work and they reimbursed my purchase. The surprising thing is the type of lock on the phone. As shown in the image attached, the phone is Network Subset locked and the number of unlocking attempts is unlimited. Has anyone seen this on other phones?
I have contacted other unlock code providers and will update this thread when I receive any reply.
Unlocked!
I managed to unlock the phone. I re-contacted the Unlocking Company asking them to send me the NSCK code which they did even if they had already refunded my purchase. The Xperia Z3 from Softbank in Japan can be unlocked with the NSCK code.
If you put a non-Softbank sim card on the phone, you will not get the screen to input the unlock code. In order to unlock it, I flashed a Docomo firmware (it also works with the international firmware) with flashtool. After the flash, you can reach the sim-unlock screen to input your code. I guess Softbank must have removed some files from its firmware to make the sim-unlocking harder.
Assist
Where did you get the firmware to flash the phone with?
Xperia Z3 401SO
Pls. kindly share what firmware you use , thanx in Advance.
Your z3 version is 32gb or 16gb?
32 Gig
I suppose he used SO-01G_23.0.B.1.38_docomo.ftf because Docomo Xperia Z3 doesn't have any other firmware avaiable, can someone try in a Sony Xperia Z3 T-mobile to see if this ftf works on it just flashing system?

Can you give answer to just 2 questions :
1. Which unlocking company you used ? Would be great help if you can give the website.
2. Which firmware did you used to flash it ? Would be great help if you can give a link to download the same.
Thanks in advance.
