I deleted my lock screen effects all by accident when trying to replace the original talk with the modified enable all effects apk. I can't find a valid download for the modified apk that enables all the effects. Could some kind soul in XDA please help me out? I would much appreciate it.
Download a stock Rom and unzip it and pull the apk

Hi,
Can someone point me the rigth direction to replace boot animation & batter indicator. I really like the Humble boot animations with the green droid and green particle circling also for the battery I like the Humble percent % indicater.

I replied over at Rootz, but I'll repost it here too.
The simple way is to use http://uot.dakra.lt/ to built a CWM compatible file. You'll need three files out of your ROM of choice (framework-res.apk, twframework.apk, and SystemUI.apk). You can unpack those from your ROM and upload them. There are a ton of different battery indicators and boot animations available there, and you can customize everything about every battery they offer.

Well something took but exactly like i wanted cant get the boot animation going though err
I am in the process of modding my custom ROM. I am terrible with graphics and stuff and would like to know if some one would kindly make me some extras for my rom such as bootanimation, downanimation, wallpaper, icons etc.
The rom is called JDR0iD.....
Any help or contribution would be much appreciated.

So boot animation are gif animation of about 30 to 60 frame with a file to tell how to manage frame loop... and zipped.
So you can use one as template and replace frame by yours of same properties like W pixel and H pixel, dpi etc...
Depending of if you want a unique custom boot animation or if you want to use images or gif already maden... If not there some free pc app like gif creator to make your own animation...

I want to learn more about how themes work. With my old HTC I applied themes through CWM, baked using the kitchen a little... but I want to know a little about what files get modified.
So I figured for a personal challenge I would try manually modifying the wan and wifi images for my skyrocket's ics install (simplelite to be exact). Can someone point me to where the relevant files are located, if they're in regular files or a zip or apk?
I started theming when the NookColor was released and put together a document with links to walk-throughs and some basic commands. It's nothing major, but it will get you started.

use a root explorer or browser. go to system folder then to media folder. find audio folder and in that is ui folder. find tw_touch.ogg copy and move that somewhere else (keep for backup) rename your sound tw_touch.ogg and put it in the audio/ui folder you were just in fix permissions to R-W-R-R and reboot. other than that i believe you'd have to edit an xml to change the file string.
I've done that for my touch sounds. All my ui sounds are fixed. But the dialer sounds are not located there. That file is in sec.contacts as stated above But I've tried to edit that system apk and I can't figure out how. That's where I'm needing help.
It's probably in an XML file. You'd have to decompile the seccontacts.apk with an apktool and locate the file. I'd suggest PM andy bones and throw him a couple of bucks to see if he can do it. He has a a mods request thread but since it's a special request I would just PM him the request...

i'm gonna look at it and see if i can get it, but i won't be able to test it. i'll send it back to you with the edited file. backup your seccontacts.apk just change apk to bak then push the one i send into your system apps fix permissions and reboot. see if it works. if not, i suggest asking Andy and just delete the one i send and rename the bak to apk

Hey, the theme is great, but it has changed my default font and now I cannot revert to the original font,which I prefer. What can I do? I've tried deleting the theme and installing others, also rebooting, but I am stuck with the new font.
Can I install another theme that could bring back the original font or another similar one?

Not a problem, to keep your original fonts. follow below procedure -
- Apply this theme
- then in themes app click on "Me" tab
- click on "customize"
- there you will see font style, click on font style and apply. you will get old fonts i mean original one
