Good day.
Is there a way to change the recents panel's background on Lollipop? I am using the F400 variant. Back on KitKat with G3TWB, I was able to make the recents panel blurred, which I liked (though I preferred to have my wallpaper). I want it to look like the one AOSP where the background of the recents panel is the wallpaper set on the homescreen. If I pull out the SystemUI from the Nexus 6 and replace the one from LG, will it work?
Another problem, though it's minor, is the notification panel toggles. It shows up on first pulldown. In AOSP, it requires two pulldowns. I'm bugged by this just a little bit. Back in KitKat, I disabled toggles with G3TWB and put them all in the NavBar by using Xtended Nav Bar Module for Xposed. I just wanted my notifications to look a little cleaner.
tl;dr: Recents panel background is ugly and I want my wallpaper on it. Notification Panel toggles are annoying.
I'll mention the question again: If I pull out the SystemUI from the Nexus 6 and replace the one from LG, will it work? Or if someone can make a modded SystemUI that does the things mentioned above, that would be great.
Thanks a lot for reading.
I ask the same thing, is there any way to change the gray background? it's pretty ugly.
I with you guys

Does anyone know how to change the notification bar colour from black to white?
Do you mean the regular emui notification bar? It adapts to the background image you set, so just set a brighter image or edit your current background to include a white bar at the top, though that would look a bit ugly.
If you mean the background when you pull the notification bar down, then you should have a look at custom emui themes, or even make your own somehow.
No i meant the actual expanded notification bar as the black doesn't work well with most apps and huawei uses black font as well when displaying notifs. I only think huawei themes work with stock launcher? And i use nova... Thanks anyway
I think the themes work everywhere, no matter what launcher (at least the notification bar part should). Not all themes include a modified notification bar though, so I think you could try one that definitely does change the notification bar and see it works for you in Nova launcher as well.
I'm attaching a theme I know for sure features a different notification bar for you to try. I also know it's terribly ugly but it's just for testing purposes, once you confirm that it does change the notification bar color for you, we could start disassembling the theme to only take out the interesting parts and adapt them to a different theme after changing the image from greenish to something more white-ish
PS. I had to change the extension to .zip for the board to accept the attachment, please change it to .hwt after you download it and move it into "/sdcard/HWThemes" so the theme manager can find it.

Thanks will try
It seems like this would be possible.
I would also like to see this app modded for my s7
I think a more stock system ui color is in order, I very much dislike the colors Samsung gives to us to use. I would also like to remove the s finger, change the quick connect icon, and remove the app settings icon, and possibly add the users icon and option so it resembles the stock Marshmallow notification shade and quick toggle dropdown

It would be best if it was Android n-ified

I am also a fan of the bottom style of quick settings.
Phones of size > 5" should provide this, It would be very comfortable and stylish..
It is very unfortunate that H2OS is merged with O2OS and they didn't retain this panel!!!
But, We have a better alternative!!!!:fingers-crossed::good::good::good:
There is an app, whick gives all of the customizations to your hand and let you tweak..
Unlike other apps like iPanel or some ****, this app is completely user friendly.
You can select the quick settings, shortcuts, default music app, size, colours, what not!!!
It has many possible configurations.
See screen shots
I loved this app.
I am sure you too..
*Note: The app isn't what you see in the play store screenshots.
The app details:
name: Quick Control Panel
Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.woodblockwithoutco.quickcontroldock
setup:step1: Install the app
Step2: Remove all the quick settings from the pull down (native quick setting) panel. You can retain some unique toggles which are unavailable
in the app.
Step 3: Open the app, give permissions.
Step4: Customize almost everything.
step5: Thank me if you think, I've given you a treat....
Last but not least: If you have a better alternative with you, please let us (others who love this panel type) know..
@qwen3579 asked:Q: after hiding all the Quick Settings toggles on the notification panel, there is a pretty big ugly gap left behind. I wish there was a way to just disable the QS panel.
I noticed this when I used the RR for OP3. There is not way to hide this gap or disable it..
For this there are 2 ways to act..
1) Select '5' QS tiles in the android system which are not available in The panel but you use rarely. The usually used QS will be available handy in the panel.
2). Disable the QS toggles completely from the QCPanel, use all other features like music and Shorcuts. This also looks good and saves lots of space on the view.
The ScreenShots are uploaded
Thank me if I helped you,
If you want me to make a tutorial on this, please let me know.
Here is a h2os like preset I quickly wrapped up.
Extract it in /sdcard/QuickControlPanel/backups
Will post more versions if I will make it more similar in the future or optimized.

Changed colors for more h2os-like look and added upper icons. Would add the flashlight too but I can't find it in the lists. That would remove it from the bottom row and have the controls non-scrollable (less accidental swipes)
Icons used are from the Flight lite icon pack.

I love this, BUT....after hiding all the Quick Settings toggles on the notification panel, there is a pretty big ugly gap left behind. I wish there was a way to just disable the QS panel. I'm on RR ROM and although there are some customization settings for the QS panel, there are no options to hide/remove it completely.
Move it to the bottom in the panels order and change the panel height in General settings.
I'm talking about the Android Quick Settings panel, not the app.
@qwen3579
I know This issue, should have explained you this earlier..

This is nearly H2OSish. Ca we find any XDA friend to create the perfect drawer?
Cause this one has some bugs..
Google Play listing has been removed. Anyone got a link for e for the application
@kalinskym
Search in google for the apk. It is always available in any apk providers out there
I find the notch notification area unsatisfactory and kinda wanna restore a classic android feeling, I couldn't find any android theme or framework settings that gives me 2 rows of notifications. See my mockup for the idea, but basically I'd like to have a way to enable a second row of notifications that show icons you'd normally see in the horizontal view.
Any suggestions on how to accomplish this?
Horribly large round grey background with tiny grey icons, making all notification icons look the same and forcing me to read through all the text to distinguish them ... icon also takes a quarter of the notification area space ...
Idiotic design decision
Is there some OS hack or anything I can do/install to bring back the old notification panel without reflashing? If not, can I do a clean downgrade to previous One UI 4.x without having to hard reset/losing apps and settings?
If available where you are, try Good Lock and Quick Star and redesign, colour at least, your quick panel

Isn't quick star for quick panel only rather than notification panel? I don't care about the former
From memory, it changed notification icons colour
It doesn't. I just tried it. It can apply a theme for the entire panel (similar to color pallete) which is worthless for my goal -- all notification icons are still the same color and on a huge round background color of the same tint.

The bootloader didn't go up a revision. You should be able to flash back. Also the color issue is a bug with the themes that affect the quick settings (via theme park or quickstar)
I just created an account on this forum to enforce how Horrible this new icons are. Next phone not being a Samsung level.
Planning on installing UI4
