Ported - S5 System UI - Galaxy Note 8.0 (Tablet) Themes and Apps

Hi.
This is SystemUI from my S3 Neo and it works fine on Note 8.0. This SystemUI includes S-Finder & Quick connect button on notification bar.

Paste the new SystemUI in system/priv-app and give it permision rw-r--r-- (0644) and then reboot your tablet.

Can you teach me how did you port i want to port it on my tab 4 8.0 but i am only half successful
Thanks in advance

this is good find, it needs some cosmetic change recent window is a bit off, plus nowhere you can't able to access Google Now option. How do you get Google Now in your S3 Neo?

yeah...I already have Wanam Xposed, so I figured out after I posted....I am suprised that S3 Neo's SystemUI actually worked...I have tried Tab 4 4.4.2 ( 8 inch)'s SystemUI before and it did not like it at all.
by the way, "choose Home button long press, then click on Long HOME key behavior and choose Launch Google NOW", yes it works, but you are also killing Recent Apps switch...there must be a way to make it both work...

Install MenuBeGone (from Xposed) which will replace the Menu button with Recent apps and it looks like tab 4.

MenubeGone did not do for me, it did not work, instead Gesture Settings exposed's I set swipe up to bring Google Now did work...I like this port, only problem I have is Settings has changed, which is not quite nice looking one if you ask me...I am sure you know what I meant by that...
overall, this is good one for sure..

I currently am busy with school and can not. Maybe in future.

One thing not said for this ui... It has advanced power features built in. Just hold shown the power save quick button and you'll see a secondary power saving menu screen.
I have a video of it in my thread in the general thread.

Download on your phone's memory (internal or external) the three required files
Using Root Explorer (or similar) to move the files Generic.kl in the / system / usr / keylayout (overwriting the previous)

Worked for me!! True guide for tab 4 7.0 wifi:
1. Download the tab s system ui that is on this thread.
2. Download app settings from xposed installer if you dont have it already and activate it.
3. In app settings, scroll down until you locate system ui.
4. Change DPI to 205 and change screen (dp) to 1280x800.
5. Reboot to twrp. MAKE A BACKUP IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG.
6. Go to twrp/aroma file manager and locate the downloaded system ui.
7. Select "Copy". Then go to /system/priv-app and paste it.
8. It prompts you to overwrite the existing system ui. Press " Overwrite".
9. After that is done reboot. You should now have a working tab s system ui!!

That's surely the right way!
If you change directly SystemUi.apk with a root explorer, your device becomes instantly unusable, you can't even change permissions.
At least, it's my experience with other devices.

Yup. Usually modifying critical files on the /system partition is best in the twrp recovery file manager to avoid crashes and malfunctions and all that other craZy stuff.

[Q] Extended power menu on Mate 7?

Hi everyone,
would one of you happen to know whether it's possible to get extended power menu options on the Mate 7, such as soft reboot, reboot to recovery, etc.? Is it possible with Gravity Box KK? I tried tweaking the UI with GB (latest version) on Xposed 2.5.1, but had no success.
Thx!
I think there is no need for that. Just install Quickboot (reboot) if you are rooted.

Yes, but those two don't really have a purpose as the functions are also accessible via the power menu, and there is no soft reboot option either. I'm using SimpleReboot now, it does exactly what I want.

I used quicktile to add a shortcut to the notification window works fine that way
I got an error saying the app wasn't installed because a package with the same name is already installed
(I tried searching for it on Titanium Backup and on Activity Launcher but no luck)
Tested on GS5 Stock marshmallow rom rooted phone and it doesn't works. The app open with quicktile and launch the application but doesn't record anything.
The settings activity only for settings, the other activity starts recording! Nice finding!
Its out some time since MM Noble roms and Nemesis ones in S6 edge, and available in settings too

Try Android N-ify. Its an Xposed module that'll change your phone's UI to android N. It also gives you the option to edit your QS panel. So you can add and remove whatever tiles you like (once your ROM supports those tiles).
Its a bit buggy on Lollipop though. So you might run into crashes (of mainly the System UI).
Take a look at the thread over here:

There's no "good version" for all devices. The only way to find a compatible build for your phone is to go through them all
To reset the tiles, hit the pencil icon at the top right corner of the QS panel, then hit the 3 dot menu button. You'll see the option to reset.
