I installed several wifi tethering apps but none of my devices see them. Help I need this hotspot to work.

Plz help I know that geohot has developed, a towel root for most phones but for some reason it's not working on my kestrel it says it been root but then I run root checker an it says no I've unlocked the dev debug mode and still nothing plz plz help????? i have two phone lg e739 and lg c800 both 2.3.6 and i am searching all over how to root these phones because of constant crashing and slow movement does any one know of any proven rooting method that works so i can root these phones they are tmobile branded

I have a rooted Vodafone smart tab 3g but it doesn't have cwm or twrp because it is not supported I rooted it using kingo root.it has a problem it keeps on rebooting I am using kitkat 4.4.2 alps.kk1.mp1.v2.16. So PLEASE HELP!!!!
