How can I install skifta on my Synology synology 212j NAS?

Hi all xda members!
This is my very first post here so I hope I do everything as I should :laugh:
Here is my question.
I recently got my self a Synology 212j NAS.
My plans is to use it to stream media files to my new TV, my Galaxy Nexus and my Asus infinity Tab (when it arrives).
I wanted to use the app skifta for this. I have read about the app and it is suppose to be the best app for this.
Unfortunately I found out this morning that my new NAS dont support skifta. It runs Linux so there must be a way to install it anyway. Right?
I am not a hacker and I dont have great experience with Linux. But if somone have or know where I can find a detailed guide how to do this I whould be very happy!
Or if anyone has any tips on other apps that is as good as skifta and do work with my Synology NAS that whould be apriciated as well!

Android Live Stream to PS3 (DLNA)

Hi,
I am hoping someone can help me? I am wanting to stream live content that i am watching on my Samsung S3 to my Sony PS3. I have tried a few apps (twonky beam, Belkin media play). From the PS3 i am able to browse the phone and view video/pics etc that are stored on my phone but can't find any options which "beams" what i am watching on my phone straight to the TV via DLNA.
I am certain i am not the only person that would like to do this and am sure many people are already doing this (free). If someone knows a certain app that could do this that would be great. I am limited to DLNA and Wifi on both my Samsung s3 and PS3 as i know there are paid for devices like chromecast that do this but i was looking for a free alternative.
Apologies in advance if have posted this in the wrong section or asking something which has already been answered. I have tried searching for DLNA/PS3 without any luck before posting.

[Completed] [Q] TVPlayer app doesn't work via ethernet

hi
so some channels on TVPlayer app only works via wifi. i use the app on my android tv box to stream live channels like bbc, itv etc etc. is there a mod to this app or maybe a spoof to make the channel work via ethernet? cos i've tried 'Fake Wifi Connection' modules from Xposed and it works only on certain apps like BBC iPlayer and Tune In Radio but not TVPlayer. i think TVPlayer is a much better app cos it lets u stream different live channels, plus iPlayer and ITV Player is not stable on my tv box. Ethernet is better than Wifi anyway. anyone can help me out?

[Completed] Any way to cast games to chromecast?

I just recently purchased a chromecast and was wondering if there was any way to cast games like need for speed or dead space to my TV? I've tried casting the whole screen but as soon I open the app, it cuts off the screen cast. Any help would be highly appreciated!

[Completed] How to mirror from a Galaxy Note 3 to a Vizio tv?

I've looked for a few days to find if there's a 'best practice' way to mirror from my Note 3 to a Vizio smart tv (E422VA) (without having to purchase a dongle or other box to do this). I half expected this would be easy to find, but after a couple of days searching all over I haven't found an obvious solution yet.
Is there no app that will work with Vizio smart tv's (there appears to be with some other tv's)? The goal is simply to get anything I play on my Note 3 to show on the tv as well, not just media stored on the phone. If I'm streaming something full screen on the phone, watching a show or whatever, it would be nifty to just tap a 'sling' icon and poof..play it on the tv. This Vizio does come with some apps built-in (Netflix, Youtube, Hulu, etc.) and it's connected via wifi to the home net, so those do work. But so far I've come up blank on how to mirror any streaming video on the phone to the tv.
I'd appreciate any suggestions from anyone who knows how to make it work.
