Hello :victory:
If you have a Nexus device, you are at the right place!
I'm sure you have already launched Google Now unintentionally when you were scrolling your favorite app, isn't it annoying?
It drives me crazy so I have developed a simple app to disable that.
(It is impossible to completely disable it, so this app just launch nothing instead of Google Now, but the gesture is still present)
Here is a quick video:
And the link to the market:
Gesture disabler for Nexus
Enjoy falks
useful tool
Could you please tell me how to add this gesture listener to my app?

Trying to disable the split screen functionality because I constantly accidentally turn whatever window I'm in into a split screen. Hate it.
I'd like to disable it because I never use it and hate the delay when trying to open recents. I haven't found a way yet

It's very annoying
You can disable it with All In One Gesture from the play store

I'm curious if this would disable it. Mutiwindowtrayservice. I'm not feeling bold enough to try it as I like multi window from time to time.

Has anyone found a way to disable this? I've tried the All in One Gesture, but I couldn't get it to work (probably because I have no idea what I'm doing).
I wrote a small application that can either enable/disable MultiWindow or bring back the MultiWindow Quick Toggle. It was primarily written for the Galaxy S6 however it should work on most of the devices that include Samsung’s MultiWindow. You can find “MultiWindow Toggle for Samsung” on the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.nerd.multiwindowtoggle

Thank You!
thanks you for this app. did you now , after reboot, its again nessasary to disable the multiwindow. can you improve this, so the phone keep the setting after reboot ? thanks !
Thanks for the app
please can you update it for android 6.0.1? It's driving me crazy!!
Didn't know this was an issue for you all. You should be able to just go to settings, hit the search button at the top and search for split screen. It will take you right to the setting to disable it.
Free in the App store:
Multiwindow Disabler. Disables at boot (effective ~20 seconds after boot) and when run.
Have you ever felt the need to switch from one app to another and found yourself looking for the other app? Not any more! with pattern launcher, you can launch your app by just making a pattern!
Whats more you don't have to even remember the pattern. Just remember where the pattern started from! the app will show you what patterns are configured from there, then just release your finger on the app to launch it!
The app configures the most commonly used for you at the first start. You can the customize them to whatever you like. Although we recommend the pattern should not be more than one or two steps.
Pattern launcher has been updated and is better than ever!! it can now search any app on your phone with just one or two clicks,
There is also a new feature that helps you swipe to launch the app from anywhere,=. so if you hated the pattern launcher notification always in the notification area, this update is for you!
Besides that there are numerous new bugfixes.
Check it out at:

Hello everybody,
First of all, Big thanks for all the comunity for the outstanding job :good:
I am an owner of S7 Edge international version and also a Oneplus One (I will explain why I'm mentionning that). On the OPO, I experienced the Sailfish OS and it's a unique experience. What is really interesting is that this OS is swipe and gesture based and I consider that this will suites more the S7 edge because of the edges of the screen. The functions that I would like to import are :
- The swipe and gesture of course (I think that there are already apps who can do that so it's not a problem).
- A minimalist experience with just the Locksreen, Main screen with tiles of all the running apps (Like in Huawei P8 for example) and App drawer.
- A page with notification feed to replace OR in addition to the Notification drawer.
Due to the fact that I have 0 experience in coding and not enough time because of my professionnal life, I would like to know if there is a Launcher (I already searched) or an app or Xposed module that could do that.
How about Nova launcher pro?
I use the swype down for notification bar and swype up for settings. Also double tap to sleep (but you need to use root there! If not your fingerprint unlock wont work correctly and you always have to use the pin code)

After rooting the device, what did you do for the fingerprint unlock to work after double-tapped sleep? Any extra steps?
What exactly do you want to do by gestures? There are powerful apps like GMD gesture control etc. I personally use glove box as appdrawer/multitasking tool by a swipe from the edge accessible from everywhere and as mentioned above swipe down for notifications and swipe up for standard appdrawer in Nova launcher. That's all I need to keep my homescreen clean and speed up the work flow.
Please take a look at Sailfish OS to understand what I meant especially for the notification page. I can't post a link yet due to the rules but a quick search on youtube is enough.

I use nova and greenify : in the nova settings I make sure that a double tap hibernate apps and turn off the screen (with greenify option in nova). I also use the alternative screen off mode in the greenify settings.
So when I double tap, the screen turns off, and then I can unlock it directly with my fingerprint

If you use double tap to wake the normal way and have unlock issues go to:
Settings / device security / other security settings (at the bottom) / device administrator
Untick nova launcher and try to lock it with double tap.
It should now ask you if you want to do it with root.

If you want a minimalistic look the only app I know is KLWP.
But it won't be the same.
The last advice I can give you if you find nothing with the search is post your question in the Apps section http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games.
There are a hundred times more people around.

Hello, I would to request more customizations for the Oneplus 6 gestures to Oneplus. Question is if it has some kind of support here (maybe the devs can look into it).
I went from soft buttons (Oneplus One) to the op6 gestures but what am I missing is:
custom mapping swipe up/and hold for the left and right
So you can map search, menu, assistant, last app and so on.
What do you think?
Use gesture controls next level navigation for the play store. It much better for gestures I've been using since I had my 5T it has various customization options.
I can also recommend the Gesture Controls App, but it can do the most important things only with root. Also it would be nice to have customization in the stock gestures since they in my opinion are a lot smoother and work a lot better than the ones in the Gesture Controls app
oneplusgestures app does what you're looking for.

it does but stops working after a while and also I do miss the option for: menu, in app search, force close active app
so not the way for me
Hi guys,
These apps i am about to introduce will change your phone experience for the better not just our phone for that matter but any Android phone.
1. Immersive Mode Manager(Paid)
This app is a must for every Amoled screen to protect your phone from future screen burn, the other thing is you get to enjoy the full screen experience with every app on your phone. I install this app on all of my Android devices.
I have created a thread long ago doing it manually but i think it's too much of work for people who want an app for that, if you want a manual free alternative check it out.
2. Fluid Navigation Gestures(Free/Pro Features)
This is my second go to app which i was introduced to recently. I will dare to say IMPO that it's the best custom gesture navigation app on Android currently.
By the way our Asus gesture navigation is not bad but i feel it's not polished yet. Also by using Fluid Navigation Gestures we can disable the navigation bar in the keyboard so that is a plus. So go ahead and give it a try.
3. JINA: App Drawer, Sidebar & Folder Organizer(Free)
This app is also a recent discovery and i highly recommend it. What the stock rom or custom rom for that matter lacks to date is the ability to access your apps form any app without going back to the Home launcher to access the drawer. With this app you can achieve that and then some more. The only downside of this app is that it's not noob friendly it will take you a lot of time to figure out all the features it has. The best thing about it you can customize every aspect of it and it's free.
4. Glimpse Notifications, Always On Edge - Edge Lighting or Glance Plus(Free/ Free / Free)
So to my surprise the ROG phone doesn't wake the device when you receive notifications like my previous HTC phone, but don't fret because here where Glimpse Notifications solves the problem that is if you just want the screen to simply light up. If you want more customization then the other two apps are great to check out.
5. Blokada(Free)
You must have an Ad blocker on the list if you are unrooted and definitely one of the best open source and free app out there is this one.
6. Popup Widget 3(Paid)
Now this app will get your phone setup to another level, instead of cluttering your homescreen with widgets how about hiding them and calling them when needed only either through your home launcher gestures or a shortcut sidebar ... . Pretty cool right!. Now this isn't a must have app but i had to mention it because it's absolutely amazing. I have an old video featuring it check it out.
-------
I will keep updating this thread once other apps are discovered or suggested.
-------
*Launcher used: Nova Launcher
*Icon Pack: Pixel Icon Pack
Here is an updated video to showcase everything
Great List ! Much appreciated !
Thanks
Cool "A Liquid Cloud" live wallpaper. I bought the paid version to support the developer, but the free version is great.
Swiftkey Keyboard
Textra SMS
Firefox browser
I used to use a third party camera, but I like the default camera and love playing with Google Lens
I used to use Apex launcher, but they have gone downhill lately forcing bloatware on you. I might stick with the default. I like the default theme.
I have installed Immersive Mode Manager! Very cool!
is there any app or setting mod that allows can turn the RGB /aura lighting into a visualizer for audio/media playback ? like the audio visualizer chroma app available for razer chroma windows on windows platform ?
