Screen not working - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

So my 7 month old was able to get his mother's phone while she wrapped presents the other night. Like most babies he put it in his mouth and apparently the slobber has done something to the screen. The phone rings, charges, and I can connect to adb thru the computer. Will I need to replace the entire screen and frame or maybe just the digitizer? And where would you recommend to buy the parts? Appreciate the help

You need to replace the screen + digitizer, trying to separate them will result in one or both of them being destroyed.

LCD Broken, Need to issue commands to device to access internal memory GN2

Hey guys. SO, I recently dropped my Note II. The screen shattered, but was entirely responsive to touch input and functioned normally (besides shards of glass splintering into my fingers heh) I kept telling myself I would get it fixed "soon" and before I did, it dropped again. This time the screen was not displaying properly and no longer responded to touch except on the notification bar. I pulled the battery and restarted the phone. The screen is no longer lighting up or displaying anything but the phone still boots up as I can hear the startup sounds and flood of incoming text messages.
I previously rooted my phone, left the stock rom on....
Now my intent is to adb into the phone via laptop and usb. and making a "clockwork recovery style image" and then hopefully use an emulator to run the image to extract my data from it. Looking for any guidance or suggestions to get my data back from the device.
If not possible even a backup on the internal drive would be wonderful. Would I be able to make an image of this device and then flash it onto another note 2 to access my saved information?

looks like you broke your digitizer (second time you dropped it), you could just replace the entire lcd and screen instead of a new note, not too hard just be careful you don't break anything in it, that can be big bill thought. did a quick search and on eBay looks around $190 and up... which is redonkulous. i think you could cook your own ROM and get all your data back by doing a adb/system/pull if you wanted a new note 2.

Yes I wanted to replace the broken digitized rather than buy a second note. I was going to use a friends Note II, if I can pull all of the data off. You say adb/system/pull, or do you mean pull the system folder using adb? If you are aware of one would you link me a guide on adb? It's been some while since using the commands. Thank you for your reply.

[Q] Screen problem

Hi guys, I m new here. Recently, I dropped my phone and it was okay for the day...However, the next day, the screen has a little problem.
The sensitivity is cool, still the same. No crack whatsoever.
However, the screen sometimes become blurred/double image (as shown below) or completely went black.
With "luck", the screen would turn on. If not, it will stay black for most of the time.
I called the service center and was told that my phone was no longer under warranty. Thus, the repairing fee would be quite hefty according to the operator.
Guys, if I may ask, what's the problem with this? How can I solve this and how much would it costs? Would a factory reset be useful under such circumstances?
Thanks in advance.
I don't think a factory reset is going to do any good, it looks to me like a hardware fault. You can try replacing the display yourself, there are guides on YouTube. There are three different types of screens that went into this phone so you need to make sure you get the right one, I believe they're differentiated by colour coding on the connecting flat cable (you might want to check this). You'll need to disassemble the device to identify it. You'll want to get the screen + digitizer as separating the two without breaking either is almost impossible. From memory I think you can pick them up for under $100.

Too bad I have no idea how to fix it myself. The service center is charging me roughly $250-300 (after conversion of my currency)
Thanks tima. Do you happen to know what kind of screen i should get? I heard some screen leaves gap at the top of the phone.
As long as you match the screen to the one I'm your device it should be ok.

[Q] N5 won't boot with broken digitizer

Is it normal for it not to boot with a broken digitizer? This is my sisters phone. She broke her screen and instead of buying the whole frame assembly, she just bought the glass. She managed to break the digitizer when trying to separate it from the glass. She the reassembled the phone and brought it to me asking to have it fixed. Is it possible? Or is it completely busted? I know when I leave it on the charger and try to turn it on, a red notification light flashes( no matter how long it has been on the charger)
Chances are something else got broken when trying to install the glass. If it won't boot, or go into recovery or bootloader, not much you can do at this point.

replace entire screen

Im trying to replace the lcd (the whole front panel) on a surface pro 1, and have run into an issue. Its for a friend of mine and it was presented to me with the old front panel removed and the new one kinda slapped in there, Im wondering if anyone has a link to a repair guide for it. Ice done many screens before and it kinda seems like its dead. I have all of the ribbon cables connected and none of them look pinched or damaged. Any help/thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

well, the original one was, but the replacement isnt. The person who started the project took the old screen off and replaced it with an entirely new one but couldnt get it to come on, so he gave it to me to work on. Ive connected all the ribbon cables and tried rebooting it, but it wont come on. Is there a way of force rebooting it like there is in android? Ive tried holding the power button down for over 30 seconds and it didnt do anything.

I'm not sure honestly.
I also have a Surface Pro 1 with a cracked screen and would like to replace it.
The cheapest way is to only replace the glass with digitizer http://www.aliexpress.com/item/For-...-Glass-Replacement-Parts-1pc/32368476632.html
I know replacing the whole LCD combo is easier, but is this still doable? For example with this http://www.aliexpress.com/item/100m...ine-to-Splite-Glass-Lens-for/32245814109.html or these http://www.aliexpress.com/item/5ml-...for-Cellphone-Glass-Lens-LCD/32479129528.html tools
Or should I use just use the complete set: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free..._78_77_80,searchweb201644_5,searchweb201560_9
And is this the right set to buy when you want to fix a cracked screen on a SP1 128GB

what screwdrivers do I need to buy to change screen on mate 8 ?

To make a long story short, my original screen got cracked, it works the touch works also, I did change to mocha brown color as replacement, 4 weeks later I dropped it in the toilet, now I need to atleast temporary insert my old display which I still have at home, and plug it into the phone so I can make backup of the phone, that is the most important part. everything besides the screen seem to work, I know that since I get notifications and it does also connect to PC but I cant get Hisiute to work since I cant push the " accept" button on the screen since it is black.
Thanks
no one can help ?
