Galaxy Note 3 ota exceeded number of downloads.

I just randomly did an update check on my note 3 and got the rather odd message.
Not worried about it but I'm curious add to why I may be getting it. .

I'm getting the same problem (BTW, UK), according to Kies no update is available and the latest version for me is NB7.
Will try again later.

Probably server overload, just try later. Or flash the rom with Odin from here www.sammobile.com/firmwares/2/.
I've been getting quite a lot of reports from people with this issue over the last few weeks. The servers are overloaded. Use KIES or ODIN. Or have patience
Nd3 now availabke via kies btu

Will kies download the whole firmware?

Yeah kies downloads whole firmware. It does not wipe your device though.

Yes.
In fact, the firmware packages you download on Sammobile to flash with ODIN are directly ripped from KIES.

Actually goomanager will report that nothing found for the GS5. FYI, TWRP has had many reports of being unreliable (not being able to restore a backup). Many users are using Philz recovery instead.

It didn't work. I flashed to stock, took the update, and tried it, but it was a no go.

You could use Odin to install Lollipop from here. That should bring you to stock, beware though, you can't undo having tripped Knox (but I don't think most people care about that anymore)
I could just do it from the Samsung website, as well, right?
