One plus one switch off when my video is played using my player hardware decoder meth - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Please help me out

Not a opo problem. Mkv play fine in stock player which uses hw decoder. So either the video has some problem or its MX player bug. Please report to MX plater team.

Issue with MX video player on HFS

First, sorry for my English ,it isn't my main language
We all know there is an issue with HW media acceleration for video decode. So,I using MX video player to watch video .The video work great without lag but after 10s the sound of the video gone when the other sound like press, keyboard, notification sound are still here.Anyone have this issue ? Are there any solutions for this?
Thank in advance for reading .
Make sure to set it to only use SW decoding. HW decoding doesn't work 100%.

Yes, SW decoding for both Video and Audio. By default, I think mine was set to HW for Video, and SW for audio.

I need to try VLC, but I'm using Dice Player Ad from the market right now. Plays everything I've thrown at it so far. I tried MX Player first but I was having to use SW decoding to get audio to play with my mkv files, Dice doesn't have that issue.

MX PLAYER really did good job on TF300T
audio in AC3 coded is not supported by the system default, MX Player could play that.
Is your player a free app or a pro apk?
My MX player pro that I got from google crashes every couple seconds
I downloaded the free version, which there is no difference besides a ad when you aren't watching

Video problem

I downloaded a movie from net ...the movie was ok in starting but aftr somtim the audio has gone further than video...is there any app for android to fix it

Can be a video player problem. Try another one from market.
MX Player is the best choice. If the problem persist, try to change audio decoder from HW to SW in MX player.
Maybe a codec problem. Like skvrnda says, try MX player for free with codec pack for your processor.
( both can be find in playstore for free)

Here's what I've found after enabling Network SW Decoder.
If I first open a stream with MX, it always times out.
If I first open a stream in the stock video player (Samsung), then back out of that and start playing again with MX, it works fine.

I think the issue is with play on.
If there is a network playback issue with MX player, it's not suppose to play even when you tries after backing from the stock player. I have personally using MX player in http & smb (winows share). But, never had issues

Then why does the stock player even work?
It's like MX is having problems with the initial request.

I am not clear about the that.
There could be some other issues like authentication or session codes.
Does any other player works?

Well, I don't have many installed, but an old version of VLC beta will sometimes start the audio stream.
Even that is enough to back out of and use MX just fine (again, on the same video). Very odd.

If you have problem with vlc too, then the problem should be with play on.
In that case you have to contact play on support....!!!

Well I'm not so sure.
At least VLC completes the request and starts the audio. FWIW I haven't really gotten this VLC version to work on anything.
My thinking is, if it works with the stock video player, it should definitely work with MX pro.
This could be related to one of the known issues that MX has with network playback and (lack of proper) buffering.
Per my List of Bugs thread, it's the top issue on the list:

I know that @bleu8888 is aware of the issue and is working on it, though I'm unsure of his current progress.
There is a issue with network authentication on hw+ and sw decoder.
If it only works with hw decoder, it will be this issue.
Please try hw decoder instead.
This is going to be fixed.

HW decoder always fails "cannot play this video".
SW decoder enabled on network will play only after the video has started in another player, backed out and then reopened in MX.

So, what this suggests is that in HW mode where the hardware handles everything from request to decode, there's no problem; however if HW+ or SW where MX is involved anywhere in the process, then the authentication will fail?
Also, is this specific to any device or android version?
There is missing link in hw+ and sw decdoing in network authentication.
As CDB-Man metioned before, it is under development.

AC3 Codec Removed from MX Player! Need REAL Fix.

MX Player Pro*Version 1.7.39 (ARMv7 NEON)
Today I attempted to play one of my older AVI files and realized that the AC3 codec support disappeared with the 1.7.33.
How many other video's won't i be able to play... Others are "patching" MX Player to enable AC3 audio to play. What is the Long Term fix for this codec issue that could disappear?
Thank you.

As for now, only using a custom codec can help you.

Just so you are aware the Codec patching never worked on my phone. The only thing that worked was to install MX Pro 1.7.32 - and it worked fine. It would seem that since my Nexus 5/OPO never had me install any external codec's - I don't have any lying around. It seems as thought on my phone when I install an external codec - It's not being used.
