Get notifications on your android device whenever a whatsapp contact is online/offline
Short service description:
- Get "last seen" of any contact despite the privacy settings.
- Push alerts for contacts getting online/offline (like skype thingy) will alert you with a notification whenever a contact is online/offline (can be turned on/off per contact)
- Detailed daily report of when the contact went online and offline and how long they used whatsapp per day and per session.
- Alerts you whenever the contact changes his/her image and/or status (only for contacts that have their image/status available for public)
Please note this app is 5 days trial per contact. we focus on providing a working service, which costs us servers and time and development, if it was free everyone will join and the server will shut down. plus we have limited slots (contacts). this is why only premium contacts will keep running. nevertheless you will receive notifications for 5 days for each number you add (maximum numbers are 4, you can delete-add numbers as much as you like)
Enjoy your 5 days per contact up to 5 contacts!

UPDATE:
Now up to 5 contacts for free for 5 days EACH (except number that have been already used on the system before)
get 20 points for every day you referral extends a contact ( 100 points gives you 1 day monitoring ... there are some people who get 300-500 points everyday) . to get your referral link : http://servered.com/member/refer/
Seems intersting

I think you have to add contacts first
open the app or website and add the contacts you want to monitor, make sure the number have the country code otherwise it will not work

You know how tethering with PDANet allows you to use the sms client on your computer? Is there a similar app that connects via wifi/3g? When I'm at work I hate typing on that tiny-ass keyboard when I'm sitting at a full-size computer.
I use Google Voice when possible but I don't want my friends to need two phone numbers for me. I suppose I could just use GV as the primary...
Any ideas?
Look for smshare. I just found it three days ago, and it's awesome!

That looks pretty neat. No usb cable required?
No, no cables required.
The Data exchange is done over 2G or 3G Network.
But SMS isn't much data, so it won't hurt your Data limit.

Interesting... will check it out.
I have also tried bloove now, but i must say it is very limited if you use the free version.
No auto-Sync feature for the android app: You always have to start the app on your phone that the sms are sent. And also SMS are not stored if you have edited them on the webinteface.
The App has to be opened on your phone while you send the sms on the webinteface.
Smshare has all these features, but it's main problem is that the Addon is only available for Chrome right now, and until now it is not possible to send SMS directly from smshare's Webinterface. But according to smshares blog it will "soon" be possible to send SMS also through the webinterface. So i hope tis problem will be solved soon.

There are a lot of ways to use Whatsapp in one Phone like 2LinesForWhatsapp , SwitchMe.
But the most convinient and reliable method i have crossed i want to share to all which will help a lot of people.
Steps
- Get root
- Get Titanium Backup App
- Create a Profile by opening the app , 2 Profiles (IF U WANT TO USE 2 WHATSAPP ACCOUNT , 3 FOR 3 AND SO ON)
- The First Profile will contain your current settings and current WhatsApp Account
- Now Go To Whatsapp in th Titanium Backup App itself in the Backup/Restore Tab.
- HOLD CLICK on WhatsApp
- Click " ENABLE MULTIPLE PROFILES FOR THIS APP "
- Now Change the Profile to the second which you created from the same place where you created the Profiles
- Now Go to the Main WhatsApp app from your App Drawer (lol :silly
- And Register the Second Account with another Phone Number good: of course)
- Now you are ready to go
- Create a widget of TITANIUM BACKUP (DATA PROFILE)
- And as soon as you click the widget and change profile , your 1st Whatsapp Account is activated and vice versa
THIS IS THE MOST EASIEST , RELIABLE , AND CONVENIENT METHOD I HAVE COME ACROSS .
If you have any other method which is more easier to use than this one, You can post it here.
:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

2 google maps apps installable concurrently without root, so whatsapp....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1503428
someone modified the signature of google maps (for worldwide navigation)
it didnt have worldwide navigation formerly (dont know if it supports now)
now if the signature of the app is changed, the app is identified as some other app
this way an official whatsapp & a version with different signature can be installed
the phone will identify 'modded signature-whatsapp' as some other app.
now if someone can make such changes, say 3 modded signatures of whatsapp app, 4 whatsapp apps, all with different account can be used concurrently
I am not sure if its possible, someone please try to do this (I am not a dev, I study medicine, Sorry)

switching between numbers
I can tell u a better way to do the same thing (switching between numbers)..
You can also do this on unrooted phones..... Go to app > Settings > Account > change number >
Then enter ur old and new number there and vice versa... This will just take 5-10 seconds to Switch between numbers if u r using the both numbers in same phone... when u r done with ur new number then u can again swtich to ur old number... Just take 5-10 seconds...
Its better way to do the same thing(switching between numbers) as mentioned in the above post.......
nice.
Thx!

Video Tutorial

Fnds here is the video tutorial for this.. :good:
Hey xda!
Since there seems it isn't going to be released a gear-compatible Whatsapp app by official sources I started my way into developing applications for wearable devices with my own client.
Its buggy and not reliable as my knowledge is pretty limited. But it does its job most of the time. I'm trying to figure out how to make it work better, so with time and luck, It will improve.
CURRENTLY WORKING FEATURES:
View the list of chats, with their latest messages and hours.
Open chats, showing up to the last 50 messages (sent or received) and their hours.
View contact profiles from where you can check his/her status and phone number.
Reply to chats from the watch! (Sometimes messages will not be sent until Whatsapp is opened in phone, specially if sending lot of messages in a short period of time. Some other times, whatsapp remains opened in the device after sending it.)
View profile pictures.
View received images
NOT IMPLEMENTED YET (but scheduled/planned/desired for next updates):
Push notifications on watch for new messages, allowing you to directly open the chat in the watch (Replacement for default gear notification.) [Needs some work, but will come soon].
View received images in higher res. View videos/audio.
Last seen.
Group chats.
Start a new chat.
View / edit your own profile
Call and send SMS from contact profile ( there are buttons for it , but do nothing ).
Voice reply
Send images / videos
REQUIREMENTS:
Rooted phone (Android 4.4 KitKat or higher).
Tizenmod.
sqlite3 installed on your phone. If you dont have it, there are apps in the PlayStore that can install it for you, or you can manually copy sqlite3 file to system/xbin from an emulator.
Whatsapp installed (Obviously... ) and working on your phone.
Notification access for WhatsGear must be enabled on phone settings.
Root and sqlite3 are required in order to access Whatsapp's sqlite databases.
I'm not publishing this application in the Samsung Store, but Im releasing it here for all xda users.
If not clear, I have nothing to do with Whatsapp. This is a personal project for my use that I wanted to share with whoever wants to use it too.
I cannot be held responsible for any damage related to hardware, software or data loss which the end user might cause while attempting any procedures, methods or advices found on this thread.
Reviews, bug reports and ideas are appreciated.
Hope you like it

If you swipe right or left in the keyboard special chars should appear. (I noticed some important ones are missing as ",". I'm adding them later).
Whatsapp should be closing by itself without the need of closing it from recents Im sorry to hear it isnt for you. Im at work now, but I'll take a look at it when I arrive home and add a button for force closing on gear app while I can't get It to work well by itself.
Thanks for your feedback.

Remote test lab is for testing your apps in different devices. I used it just to check if it got installed with your devices well as I don't have a note 3. Not sure why you are asking for it when you own both devices, but anyway its on http://developer.samsung.com/remotetestlab/
Hey all - been working on this off and on for a while but I've finally got it in a place where it works to how I envisioned it so I'm super excited to share it with you all!
These days people expect instant replies to their instant messages & it's not always possible to oblige.
Texting & driving is dangerous, your boss probably isn't keen on your messaging at work, you might be in a meeting, you might have left your phone to go workout.. Fortunately, in any given situation, Can't Talk will respond for you.
Let people know you're busy, you're driving, you're in a meeting, you'll get back to them later.. You set the message, you set who & via which apps to respond to & Can't Talk does the rest.
It's "out of office" but not just limited to email. Whatsapp, Slack, SMS, missed calls, Telegram, Hangouts, Allo.. any app that let's you send a quick reply via it's notification - Can't Talk can respond to.
Features of note:
- You can auto reply to sms & missed calls as well as app notifications
- You can specify which apps can be replied to
- You can specific which contacts can be auto-replied to (this includes across apps like Whatsapp etc..)
- You get to specify the message that gets sent.
Features of note to come:
- Multiple profiles - so you can create a "work profile" or a "home profile" or a "driving profile" with specific responses/settings
- Contextual Switching - the ability to automatically turn profiles on & off depending on whether you're driving, in the office, at home etc..
- Contact specific responses
At this stage I'd really love your feedback on the app so far (this is a beta so there may be bugs) & more specifically what more would you want from an app like this?
Any and all feedback/suggestions would be hugely appreciated!
Beta on the Play Store here
Huge update now on the Play Store
Added support for messaging apps such as Whatsapp, Hangouts etc..
Fixed a number of bugs
Added support for contact specific replies
Would love ANY feedback on the app! Happy Friday everyone!!
New update will be on the Play Store shortly, lots of bug fixes & a much tidier UI ??
Nice app but second reply time is 12 min after the first reply to the same person that not good. it should be the frequent reply. or is it work without the internet?

Thanks for the feedback! Was it a reply to the same message, & which app was it replying too (whatsapp, sms, etc)? There is a setting under Advanced Settings to change the reply frequency, it defaults to 15 minutes meaning it'll auto reply to any NEW messages you receive from the same contact or app after 15 minutes.
If you have a better idea about how reply frequency should work I'm all ears Maybe people want the option to reply to 1 contact 1 time ever, until the app is switched off?
New beta is up! Ton of bug fixes, some layout improvements.. Feedback as always is encourage
Messenger?
Does this (can this) work with Facebook Messenger?
Finally an extremely useful app thank you...

Interesting application buddy. Love the opening animations.
One thing I found annoying, is that for almost anything I changed, there was no "Save" button. Thus I had to first click "Back" arrow and then a prompt would ask if I want to save or discard. Could have used only a single click if there was a "Save" button.
Also, there needs to be some modification for the secondary text field, e.g. Apps Secondary or Advanced Secondary.

Hi
This looks a very interesting app but I don't seem to be able to download it. There is no Install button on the app page.
Sounds nice, gonna give it a whirl
I joined the beta program through the app in the store instead of the link in the op, is it ok? Since that was a browser redirect and sign in page, so i just took a shortcut.

That's an excellent point - tbh the app actually left beta yesterday & I'd actually forgot to remove that caption from the OP ?
However since it was mentioned in the Portal post more people have downloaded & I'm guessing that's a big part of the reason so I'll honour that commitment.
Let's say.. anyone who's commented on the thread or liked the OP I'll send a promo code to. Anyone left hanging in 2 weeks (when the trial expires) will hopefully email me & they'll get one too. Unless anyone has a better way to go about it? ?

Tbh mate I've not looked at RAM usage at all seeing as the app does nothing in the background whatsoever - until you receive a notification/SMS etc.. although judging by my other app ReadItToMe that sounds about right.
I'll do some testing but unless it's causing you an issue I wouldn't worry

That's an excellent point - tbh the app actually left beta yesterday & I'd actually forgot to remove that caption from the OP ?
However since it was mentioned in the Portal post more people have downloaded & I'm guessing that's a big part of the reason so I'll honour that commitment.

very useful app. Please disable sms auto reply to own number.
Working great for me with Whatsapp.
Also works while Whatsapp Web is active
Tasker integration would be a big plus
Hello,
I want present my new app. that is in beta stage but fully functional: Phone usage monitor.
With this app you will be able to know when and how much you use your device and the apps that you have in it.
Please, report issues, if any, and suggest more events to monitorize.
Thanks

Looking good! An option to exclude certain apps like Nova Launcher would be nice.

Thanks for the suggestion. Great idea!
It would also be nice to be able to monitor a remote phone (opening up the app to for parental monitoring for example).
This could be achieved by either allowing to :
- send a daily report by mail
- having a client app with data synced whenever a connection is avaialable
- sending data to a central server
...
anyway to export the data as .csv ?
Hello, thanks for app!
Any chance to remove "full network access" from permissions in future ?
Heya! Congrats on making the portal. Good stuff you got there.
Here's some suggestions for the intro texts:
Part 1 - Current
"Do you want to know how do you use your smartphone?
You have installed this app, so the answer will surely be affirmative.
With this app you can know with what apps you lose your time; time which you could lose living your real life..."
Part 1 - Suggested
"Would you like to know how you use your smartphone?
Well, as you've already installed this app, that'll be an affirmative!
By gathering statistics about your apps with Phone Usage Monitor, you'll know where your precious time is creeping off to. Time you might want to spend on living your real life..."
Part 1 - Motivation
The second "do" doesn't really have a function in the first sentence and I made it a bit softer to make a more friendly first impression. I mentioned the app's name to remind the user what's going to help them (branding, be proud of your creation). I stayed true to your intention, the reference to 'real life', but made that a bit softer as well by using "might" and not mentioning a negative word like "lose". We're all winners here!
Part 2 - Current
"To let us know this information we will run a service in the background to monitor the use you make of your smartphone.
Quiet!, it will not consume more than a little bit of the precious battery of your mobile..."
Part 2 - Suggested
"You're probably wondering how much battery this app will consume. Don't worry, just a tiny bit.
Think about the time you will save after gaining all this usage intel. You won't even need as much battery anymore."
Part 2 - Motivation
Shouting "Quiet!" doesn't come across very friendly. There's also never a comma after an exclamation mark. I wrote the text to match the battery icon better. I'm also pushing the major goal of the app forward.
Part 3 - Current
"We will give you more information if you let us see how do you use the apps in your device..."
Part 3 - Suggested
"Sorry to bother you but I will need some usage access in order to provide you with all these awesome statistics. Is that okay with you?"
Part 3 - Motivation
"let us see" gives the impression multiple people or a company will be watching along, which totally isn't the case. I wrote it a bit more personal, fun and friendly.
Part 4 - Current
"Do not worry!
The data we collect is NOT sent anywhere."
Part 4 - Suggested
"Do not worry!
The data I collect is NOT sent anywhere."
Part 4 - Motivation
As in part 3, It's better to speak from a first person point of view, "I" instead of "we". It's just the app and the user, "you and me", which is a more comforting thought.
Instead of "START APP" I'd use something more vivid like "Lets go!" or "Show me some numbers!" or "Start saving time!"
The UDPA looks good, people are used to not reading these disclaimers and accepting them anyway. It's also a nice reminder that even if there is a "we", it's literally stating no personal data will be collected on any server. Kudos! :highfive:
I personally don't like the last paragraph but ah well, one has to make a living, right?
Looking forward to those stats...

I need to think on it.
I would not like it to be used without consent to spy on anyone :/

Sorry, but Internet permission is needed to display Ads.
I understand that you do not believe in my word when I say that I am not sending data anywhere, but I need to access the Internet to load the Ads
Please add export data functionality! Csv format for example. Great app otherwise, thanks!
Crashing
Hi,. Unfortunately the app crashes every time I open it on my OnePlus 6 that runs Android 9. The first time run screens work fine and permissions are assigned ok but then I can't open the app. I have tried clearing the storage/cache and that hasn't helped. Any ideas what to try next please?
Hi
Assuming you're rooted, please, post a logcat or send by email.
Thanks

OK, I will try it by my self
Hello
I've tried but no luck reproducing the issue.
If possible, enter app settings then enable debug mode then reproduce the issue then sent the log file.
If not possible, please, contact by email or PM to receive a debug version of the app to track the issue.
Thanks in advance
