You have to flash an ICS rom first... I suggest this one : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1601844
The 7/28 is fine. No need to get gapps.
Read and follow his instructions for installation... note that it is normal to get stuck on boot animation screen the first time. He tells you how to get through it.
When it boots, skip through the setup process, no need to do wi-fi, time, etc. Let the phone sit for about 10 mins. ( You can play with it a little during that time)
Now download miui 2.9.21 ( the newer 2.9.29 is still a WIP) http://roms.miui.us/
To install, wipe data, cache, and dalvik then flash the rom. You may get 1 reboot or a prompt to reboot, this is normal
If you have a prob, let me know, I will be on from time to time tonight and will check this thread.
I really like this build a lot and the v4 themes are awesome !!
I have given you the miui.us link to the rom as I do not think it has the Aroma installer that is an issue for some.

Remember there are some cool themes, just be sure to use the v4 ones. Tip: Darker themes will give you a little better battery life. ( Don't be too disappointed with the battery compared to your previous rom at first... give it a couple of charge cycles to settle in... it still won't be as good but it is all in all ok. )

Happened with me on every rom except with Paranoid android and Cm11 for xt1033
So what to do?
In the thread mentioned above are the simple steps for doing it
(Now please read the full thread before reading down)
C. How to change RIL?
Steps:
1. First step is to open the .zip of your custom ROM you want to edit, and search for system/framework/telephony-common.jar
2. Extract it to AndroidMultitool/Files, and after extract is done, delete it from .zip
3. Open Android Multitool, under Decompiling select .jar, then select telephony-common.jar in AndroidMultitool/Files, click "decompile"
4. After you're done, check if there were any errors in the Log, in AndroidMultitool main window
5. Head over to AndroidMultitool/Decompiled_jar/telephony-common/com/android/internal/telephony and look for X3RIL.smali. This is CM's RIL implemented in custom roms, which we dont need anymore, so delete it
6. Now, you need to decide wether to use X3RIL_old.smali, which is RIL from EPRJ CM10.2 built on 20130813, or X3RIL_new.smali which is RIL from EPRJ CM10.2 built on 20131007. I'm using 20131007 atm, and it's working without issues
7. When you've decided, move it back into AndroidMultitool/Decompiled_jar/telephony-common/com/android/internal/telephony and rename it to X3RIL.smali
8. Back in AndroidMultitool, under Compilin, select jar, and for folder select AndroidMultitool/Decompiled_jar/telephony-common, press "compile", and check for errors in Log
9. Output should be classes.dex file under AndroidMultitool/Compiled_jar
10. Open telephony-common.jar in AndroidMultitool/Files with WinRar - you should see META-INF folder, with classes.dex file
11. Delete classes.dex file in WinRAR
12. Move classes.dex file from AndroidMultitool/Compiled_jar to telephony-common.jar opened in WinRAR
13. Paste telephony-common.jar into system/framework inside the custom rom .zip file
14. You now have modified ROM ready to flash on our device!
I wanted pacrom to work and there was no
X3RIL.smali so i used RIL.smali from the cm11 made doubleprank's telephony-common.jar
On decompiling there was also an org folder so i pasted that as well
Done all the steps and i got a phone fc
Now what should i do ahead
Anyway i have attached all the telephony.jars of all roms i have for testing

pacrom was just an example
I was just looking what else could be done instead of building?(because there are so may roms) but i sort of gave up and will build now if i figure it out

p880: Solve IMEI and mobile data problems. Implement baseband recovery.
I don't like the old RILJ, at all. It is unstable and contains just the
necessary code to make RIL to work.
In the old one, there wasn't any baseband recovery management and no quirks
at all.
EternityProject's version instead, contains baseband recovery, that solves
the ugly and bad problem that happens when the radio goes to UNAVAILABLE
state by restarting it completely, avoiding to lose calls and SMS'es.
Also, it contains rawip insmod/rmmod that, on some modern kernels, like
3.4.37 by EternityProject, isn't working like expected.
It also has a better and proper implementation of
RIL_UNSOL_LGE_SELECTED_SPEECH_CODEC management. The reply has to be
an integer value, so that lge-ril.so will handle that correctly.
Moreover, RIL_UNSOL_LGE_PBREADY was not implemented at all and it was
needed to tell the radio to go into AT READY state.
The reason why we need this is because this will actually allow us to
use modern kernels and to (in future) probably get rid of some proprietary
libraries to switch, instead, to opensource code.

Currently the procedure is not working
I thought of sharing it so the people with knowledge in thus could discuss then we could finally make sim available
But that didn't work out as no one know what to do ahead in this procedure
The only solution now is to build the rom with xt1033 which i am trying ans as i earlier told you if i figure it out ,i will share it

Doesn't work on PACman ROM. Neither on others. CM AND PA Both already have it working.

I've recently started ****STUDYING**** on how to develop a PAC ROM. I wrote before that I had only worked on Samsung official ROM modding and stuff. But sounds a good idea. We'll double team this PAC ROM. If doublepranks could help us in this then it would be better. Give me 2 days time or you yourself can help me out on how to start up with this stuff.
It would be better if you could help me in somewhat teaching me this stuff. I've already read some stuff on PAC's official website.

Try No frills CPU from app store only under clock is available I think. without a custom kernel that's supports over clock I don't think you can

Download file manager from app store or cm file manager that's what I use its awesome file manger. You can probably find simtoolkit apk on xda somewhere I thought this was p3110 thread!

i've just flashed v18 on PA rom, everything is fine except dt2w. i try gesture wake or performance control, but still not work. :crying:

You need enable Dt2w with faux clock or other tweaker
later go to Wake gestures and now it work
It does not work quite right ...
Although I can install the kernel, the camera does not work properly, try as abriral says "can't connect to the camera", everything else works fine ... but I can not help if the kernel does not work very well.

I love this kernel as its the only one that I know of that still has OC. But everytime I try to open any camera app, even stock, it says that it can't connect to the camera. Why does it do that? Is there something I did wrong?

old cam libs aren't for stock i guess..did the same to me. reflashing the kernel also didn't help.

I did my own patch with the libs from stock kk rom and it works. i can try to upload it but just flashing the stock rom should fix it

HI! i have updated my cyanogen mod at the ultimate nightly. Reflashed xperience-18 kernel, and every time i open the youtube app, i got an error and the app crash.
Every time i see an video in chrome, chrome beta, the audio is playing and the video is in black screen, still a few seconds and chrome crash.
i've done a fresh reinstall of cyanogen (with all wipes), then open youtube app and videos in chrome/chrome beta and all function ok. Then flash xperience kernel, and the problems come again.
Any ideas? some other people with the same issue?

Device turns on while chargin
I'm on PA + 18v (but tested v16 too) and devices turns on if you connect to charger while it's off.
Already tested with stock kernel from PA and phantom kernel and the problem dissapear.
Atached last_kmg.log (but I don't know if it would be something usefull)

Can anyone point me towards the kernel used for this rom? And is the ak kernel compatible?
I'm using ak s kernel and it's running great no issues not that I had any with stock I just wanted to check it out
How can i change the "Skeleton" Reboot? I don't like it.

Hey nice work. I really love what you have done to the Oneplus. I do like the dark theme but it seems a bit too dark, don't you think? Can you have a switch in the settings from dark to light? lemme know if you can, so I can buy you a beer

Not able to boot this rom, I've tried philz and twrp recovery and several gapps and no success, always get bootloop
Any help??

I've had no major issues using Camera Next on any Validus build. Granted, I don't do anything terribly exciting just use it for photos, don't really shoot video, so I can't speak to that feature.

Sounds like you need to update your firmware. Have you tried flashing either the new modem or a recent cm12 build and wiping and then attempting flash Validus?

This question has been posed many times, and answered most recently in the pinned post in the GZR g+ community.
They are set on keeping the ROM dark, personally, I quite like it. However, you can use overlay or CM12 themes to alter the appearance of the settings and quick settings panel.

I thought so too, because my settings didn't stick after applying them. But all was well when I rebooted.
Multirom v30d
Multirom TWRP 2.8.4 - 01-24-15
Clean install Validus-LP-v7.0-2015-01-24-RC_bacon + GAPPS + Inject current boot sector on primary.
Setting the rom / Wifi not connecting. I moved near the router and Wifi connects and works good. Come back where I was initially and Wifi still running like a champ.
Restore backups of aplications & changing settings. (2h running Wifi)
Need to Reboot.
No Wifi anymore :/
EDIT: I have installed 2 other cm12 roms in secondary and the two give me bootloops. All are latest releases (newer than 01-16-15)
Validus Bacon for OnePlus One
Is there a way to update to the latest Bacn release without having to flash a new rom and losing all settings? I am new to this and not sure.

There is a considerably long delay before the display wakes up.
this is the best rom i found only bug was that if there is fix pls let me kw thanks in advance
